Using Environmentally Friendly h.drogels to Alleviate th. Negative Impact of Drough. on Plant

Th. use of natural h.drogels in agriculture provides solutions to many problems with.ut th.eatening th. environment. Th.s study aims to evaluate th. potential impact of environmentally friendly h.drogels (pectin, starch.and pectin + starch. in reducing th. negative effects of drough. stress on tomato yield and quality. Two different peels (orange peel and banana peel) are used to prepare environmentally friendly h.drogels. Th. water retention efficiency of h.drogels h.s been studied. Greenh.use experiment for tomato under drough. stress was conducted during 2019. Th.se h.drogels were used under several level of irrigation (100%, 75%, and 50% FC), soil with.ut h.drogel was used as a control. Th. results sh.wed th.t th. eco-friendly h.drogels (starch. pectin, and pectin + starch. h.d capacity retention of water for a long time. Th. obtained data from th. greenh.use experiment sh.wed th.t th. eco-friendly h.drogel sh.wed a positive effect on retention of water and increase th. soil moisture content compared to control. Th. h.gh.st increase was observed at pectin + starch.treatment. Th.s increase reach.d to 2.8-, 2.4- and 2.0-fold for 100%, 75% and 50% FC compared to th. control. Eco- friendly h.drogel application under different drough. conditions led to improve yield and quality of tomato fruits. Moreover, conversion of agricultural wastes to h.drogels and th. use of th.se eco-friendly materials instead of synth.tic h.drogels are necessary to utilize th. limited natural resources and decrease th. h.rmful impact of agricultural wastes on th. environment and pave th. way for th. transition to a sustainable agriculture system.

Nanoscience is a development concept in th. field of agriculture. Water scarcity is one of th. most serious stresses th.t restrict growth.of plant. Th.s search.was done to value th. positive and negative influence of ZnO nanoparticles on wh.at plant growth.under drough. stress. A green synth.sis tech.ique was used to produce pollutant-free nano structures. A field experiment was carried out during successive season (2019/2020). NP-Zn-O was applied eith.r by seed-soaking, foliar spraying, or both.togeth.r applications. Th. dose of ZnO NPs was 100 mg/l. Data sh.wed th.t drough. stress reduced th. grain and sh.ot wh.at yield. Th. use of different forms of ZnO improved th. grain and sh.ot wh.at yield, th.se increases reach.d 1.16-, 1.54-fold th.t control. In addition, one of th. oth.r effects of Zn-O-NPs is to increase th. levels of ch.oroph.ll and proline antioxidants in plant tissues, as it is a cofactor for enzymes such.as superoxide dismutase and catalase. Th. data suggest th.t th. role of ZnO NPs is not only to improve plant growth.and ph.siological parameters, but also to improve nutrient uptake and plant nutrient levels. In th.s regard, th. use of zinc in th. form of ZnO NPs h.s a positive effect on reducing th. adverse effects of drough. conditions and improving th. nutritional quality of plants.

Polycyclic aromatic h.drocarbons(PAh.)are ubiquitous environmental contaminants of growing concern due to th.ir potential ecological and h.man h.alth.*** study presents a compreh.nsive assessment of PAh. contamination in th. surface sediments of Burullus Lake,a vital and second largest delta lake in *** aim was to evaluate th. eco-toxicity and potential h.alth.risks associated with.th. presence of th.se *** seven sediment samples were collected from various drains in th. south.rn part of Burullus *** extraction meth.d was employed to extract PAh.(16PAh.)from th. sediment ***,target compounds were located using *** results sh.wed th.t samples contained PAh. levels ranging from 0.038×10^(-6)to 0.459×10^(-6),wh.ch.is considered h.avily polluted by th. European standard for PAh. ***,th.re was no apparent source of PAh. in th. elKh.sh.h.drain or th. Brinbal Canal,as h.LC found none of th. *** most prevalent compound in sediment samples along th. study area was *** diagnostic indices in th. present study indicated th.t th. h.drocarbons in th. region originated from pyrolytic and man-made sources along th. drains of Burullus *** principal component analysis(PCA)and diagnostic ratios revealed th.t coal combustion and pyrolytic sources were responsible for th. Bioch.mical Liver Functions and Molecular Identification of Fasciola h.patica from Experimentally Infected Rat Model

Th. current study was performed to evaluate th. liver function status as well as molecular ch.racterization of th. recovered worms in rats experimentally infected with.F. h.patica. Sixteen male Wister rats aged 30 days were randomly allocated into two groups (n = 8). Th. first group was infected orally with.15 viable encysted metacercaria of F. h.patica per animal. Th. oth.r group was kept non-infected (control group). At zero time (before infection), th. 2nd, 4th./sup>, 6th./sup>, 8th./sup>, 10th./sup>, 12th./sup> and 14th./sup> weeks post-infection (WPI), blood and serum samples were collected via puncture of retro-orbital plexus of veins from each.rat. Serum enzyme level (AST and ALT) and total protein were measured, and th. serum protein profile was carried out using agarose gel electroph.resis. During th. period of th. experiment, serum ALT and AST activities and serum total globulins significantly increased wh.le serum total proteins and albumin markedly decreased in th. infected group. On th. 14th./sup> WPI, th. data of th. electroph.rogram sh.wed th.t globulin fractions (α1-, β- and γ-globulin) levels were significantly increased wh.le α2-globulin was markedly decreased in th. infected group. Th. molecular analysis confirmed th. amplification of th. ITS1, ITS2 and NDI genes of F. h.patica recovered from th. infected liver of rats with.amplicon sizes of 630, 510 and 560 bp, respectively. Sequencing of th. amplified ITS gene resulted in th. determination of 3 strains (PP108836, PP108837, and PP108838). Also, analysis of th. ITS2 gene resulted in obtaining 3 isolates under th. accession numbers (PP109065, PP109066, and PP109067). In conclusion, fasciolosis in th. rat model is suitable for routine experimental infections and caused a pronounced liver dysfunction with.disch.rging of th. Fasciola eggs in th. faeces and th. development of adult stages in th. bile ducts. Furth.rmore, molecular tech.iques are a sensitive

ZrO_2 was treated with.10% SO_4^(2-) from different metal sulfate precursors for meth.nol deh.dration to dimeth.l *** th. samples exh.bited tetragonal ph.se and no diffraction peaks corresponding to metal sulfates or metal oxides were *** FT-IR results revealed th.t th.re were different interactions between sulfate and ZrO_2,and th.s h.d a great effect on th. surface area of th. *** catalytic activity was measured over th. catalysts in th. temperature range of 100-300 ℃.Th. results revealed th.t sulfated zirconia with.CuSO_4·5 h.2O and Al_2(SO_4)_3·16 h.2O sh.wed th. best catalytic *** maximum yield of DME ≈87% was obtained over CuSZ at a reaction temperature of 275 ℃.Moreover,th. catalytic activity of th. catalysts was correlated well with.th.ir surface acidity th.t measured by deh.dration of isopropanol.

Background Th. aim of th.s study was to assess th. effect of a 4-week dutasteride treatment on reducing th. intraoperative and postoperative bleeding,as well as th. amount and duration of irrigation required to clear th. urine after transureth.al resection of th. prostate(TURP)≥50 g in men receiving th. antiplatelet drug(APD).Materials and meth.ds Th.s double-blind randomized clinical trial included patients with.a prostate size≥50 g wh. were indicated for TURP and were already receiving *** study was conducted in th. Knowledge about plant diversity along disturbance gradients is essential for conservation and management of fragmented coastal *** study examined th. effects of h.man disturbance intensity in coastal h.bitats of Kuwait on diversity,composition,identity and assemblage of vascular plant *** survey data from 113 plots （5m×5m each. were randomly selected in 51 sites at coastal fragmented h.bitats at th.ee levels of disturbance intensities （h.gh.moderate and low） and were statistically *** results revealed th.t about 76% of th. recorded species are considered th.eatened species in Kuwait,most of wh.ch.are being lost in h.gh.disturbed *** led to th. dominance of Zygoph.llum qatarense,Cornulaca auch.ri and Salsola imbricata,wh.ch.are species of disturbance ***,total plant cover and species diversity were h.gh.r in moderate and low disturbed h.bitats th.n in h.gh.disturbed *** diversity between h.gh.and low disturbed h.bitats was h.gh.r th.n eith.r between h.gh.and moderate,or between moderate and low disturbed *** analyses sh.wed statistically significant differences in composition of plant assemblages,wh.ch.indicate h.gh.beta diversity between th. h.bitat *** urbanization and industrialization are among th. most serious th.eats th.t contribute to declines in biological diversity and rapid fragmentation of coastal h.bitats in *** protective enclosures in th. disturbed h.bitats,planting endangered and vulnerable species,and establish.ng a natural reserve at Nuwaiseeb are recommended conservation actions to avoid loss of th. fragmented coastal h.bitats and to facilitate restoration of native plants.

Th. motion of a magnetized axisymmetric spacecraft about its center of mass in a circular orbit is considered, taking th. gravitational and magnetic effects of th. central body into account. Equations of motion of th. reduced system are transformed to equations of plane motion of a ch.rged particle under th. action of electric and magnetic fields.
