＜正＞We consider a single-item,two-echelon spare parts inventory model for repairable parts for capital goods with high down time *** inventory system consists of a central warehouse and multiple local warehouses,from where customers are ***, there is a central repair facility at an external supplier,*** a part fails at a customer,its request for a ready-for-use part is immediately fulfilled by its local warehouse if there is a part on *** the same time,the failed part is sent to the external supplier for *** the local warehouse is out of stock,then,via an emergency shipment,a ready-for-use part is sent from the central warehouse if there is a part on stock there,and otherwise from the external *** assume Poisson demand processes,generally distributed leadtimes for replenishments,repairs,and emergency shiprnents,and a basestock policy for the inventory *** main results states that the steady-state behavior of our inventory system has a product-forrn solution. This is shown via a transformation of our inventory system into a network of Erlang loss queues with so-called hierarchical jurnp-over *** product-forrn solution enables fast procedures for the optimization of basestock levels,and it implies that the steady-state distribution and several relevant performance measures only depend on the distributions for the repair and replenishment leadtirnes via their means（i.e.,they are insensitive for the underlying distributions）.

AIM: To assess the levels of antioxidant capacity and oxidative damage in blood of chronic pancreatitis (CP) patients in comparison with those in healthy control sub- jects, by using several different analytical techniques. METHODS: Thirty-five CP patients and 35 healthy con- trol subjects were investigated prospectively with re- spect to plasma levels of thiols, ferric reducing ability of plasma (FRAP, i.e. antioxidant capacity), levels of protein carbonyls and thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS). Additionally, we evaluated the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in whole blood. RESULTS: The antioxidative thiols including cysteine, cysteinylglycine and glutathione were significantly lower in CP patients. In addition, the non-enzymatic antioxi- dant capacity was significantly lower in CP patients, which correlated with the amount of oxidative protein (protein carbonyls) and the extent of lipid damage (TBARS), both were significantly higher in CP patients. The ROS production in whole blood after stimulation with phorbol 12-myritate 13-acetaat, demonstrated a strong tendency to produce more ROS in CP patients. CONCLUSION: Oxidative stress may contribute to the pathogenesis of chronic pancreatitis by decreasing anti- oxidant capacity and increasing oxidative damage in CP patients may be a rationale for intervention with antioxi- dant therapy.

In this work,we explore the suitability of several density functionals with the generalized gradient approximation(GGA)and beyond for describing the dissociative chemisorption of methane on the reconstructed Pt(110)-(2×1)*** bulk and surface structures of the metal,methane adsorption energy,and dissociation barrier are used to assess the functionals.A van der Waals corrected GGA functional(optPBE-vdW)and a metaGGA functional with van der Waals correction(MS PBEl-rVV10)are selected for ab initio molecular dynamics calculations of the sticking *** results suggest that the use of these two functionals may lead to a better agreement with existing experimental results,thus serving as a good starting point for future development of reliable machine-learned potential energy surfaces for the dissociation of methane on the Pt(110)-(2×1)surface.

A woman with five previous normal vaginal deliveries and a history of right salpingectomy for ectopic preg-nancyhas sudden pain in term labour, with epidural analgesia. A concurrent worsening of fetal heart rate pattern with bradycardia urges quick vacuum delivery. Maternal post-partum pain and hemoglobin (Hb) drop suggest intra-abdominal haemorrhage. The combination of sudden, strong intra-partum pain and fetal distress should raise the suspicion of intra-abdominal haemorrhage. After vaginal delivery an accurate follow-up is mandatory.
