Can perfluorooctanoic acid be effectively degraded usingβ-PbO_(2)reactive electrochemical membrane?

Aqueous perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA)elimination has raised significant concerns due to its persistence and ***β-PbO_(2)plate anodes have shown efficient mineralization of PFOA,it remains unclear whether PFOA can be effectively degraded usingβ-PbO_(2)reactive electrochemical membrane(REM).Herein,we assessed the performance of Ti/SnO_(2)-Sb/La-PbO_(2)REM for PFOA removal and proposed a possible degradation *** a current density of 10 mA/cm2and a membrane flux of 8500(liters per square meter per hour,LMH),the degradation efficiency of 10 mg/L PFOA was merely8.8%,whereas the degradation efficiency of 0.1 mg/L PFOA increased to 96.6%.Although the porous structure of theβ-PbO_(2)REM provided numerous electroactive sites for PFOA,the generated oxygen bubbles in the pores could block the pore channels and adsorb PFOA *** hindered the protonation process and significantly impeded the degradation of high-concentration *** experiments indicated that·OH played dominant role in PFOA *** electrical energy per order to remove 0.1 mg/L PFOA was merely 0.74 Wh/L,which was almost an order of magnitude lower than that of other anode *** study presents fresh opportunities for the electrochemical degradation of low-concentration PFOA usingβ-PbO_(2)REM.

Wire trapping technique combined with retrograde approach for recanalization of chronic total occlusion

Coronary chronic total occlusion （CTO）, defined as a ,total occlusion of duration 〉3 months, remains a technical challenge for the interventional cardiologists. The major limitation in percutaneous coronary intervention （PCI） of CTO is the inability to penetrate and cross the occlusion with a guidewire. It was reported that the immediate angiographic success rate varied from 50% to 70% using the standard antegrade techniques.1 To improve this suboptimal success rate, the authors firstly introduced retrograde approach through the collateral channels as a novel technique and successfully recanalized a left main CTO using this technique when demonstrating the live cases in Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics （TCT） 2005. Recently, modified techniques based on the retrograde approach have demonstrated that this approach could provide a high success rate with PCI.3-5 In the present report, we described a new method, wire trapping technique combined with retrograde approach, which was applied successfully in three patients with CTO.

为促进数字化结构设计技术在服装制造业中的应用与发展,首先介绍了参数化制版与基于人工智能的二维纸样直接生成方法,以及三维虚拟缝合技术的发展现状;然后系统地概述了包括三维服装自动生成、虚拟立体裁剪、三维基型重建、三维服装模块化重组的虚拟服装模型的设计方法,总结了基于曲面展开的二维纸样获取技术,包括几何展开法、力学展开法以及几何力学相结合的方法。认为数字化服装结构设计技术在简化制版、摆脱经验依赖、实现可视化三维造型与二维平面转化等方面具有巨大潜力;结合人类创新潜能与计算机计算能力,在满足服装个性化与多元化的同时,提高制版准确率、建模精度与效率是未来数字化结构设计的发展方向。

The reaction of a typical unsaturated alcohol,3-methyl-3-buten-1-ol(MBO331),with Cl atoms,was investigated for the first *** reaction was investigated using discharged flow-tube coupled with electron impact mass *** experiments were performed over the temperature range of 248 K―298 K and at pressure of 1 torr in He as the bath *** obtained kinetic data were used to derive the Arrhenius expression:k1 =(3.47 ± 1.21) × 10-11 exp[(599 ± 69)/T] cm3 molecule-1 ***,atmospheric lifetimes of the MBO331 with respect to OH radicals,NO3 radicals and Cl atoms have been calculated and the atmospheric implications are considered briefly.

The Mass Assembly History for Galaxies with MaNGA

How galaxies assemble masses through their own star formation or interaction with the external environment is still an important topic in the field of galaxy formation and *** use Value Added Catalogs with galaxy features that are spatially and temporally resolved from Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 17 to investigate the mass growth histories of early-type galaxies(ETGs)and late-type galaxies(LTGs).We find that the mass growth of ETGs is earlier than that of LTGs for massive galaxies(M_(*)>10^(10)M_⊙),while low-mass(M_(*)≤10^(10)M_⊙)ETGs have statistically similar mass assembly histories as low-mass *** stellar metallicity of all massive galaxies shows a negative gradient and basically does not change with ***,in low-mass galaxies,the stellar metallicity gradient of elliptical galaxies is negative,and the stellar metallicity gradient of lenticular and spiral galaxies evolves from positive to *** are not all in a high-density environment,but exhibit mass *** the tidal strength increases,the star formation rate of low-mass ETGs rapidly *** results support a picture where massive galaxies exhibit inside-out quenching mode,while low-mass galaxies show outside-in quenching *** effects play an important role in regulating the mass assembly histories of low-mass ETGs.

Krüppel-like factor 8 is a potential prognostic factor for pancreatic cancer

Background Pancreatic cancer is a lethal disease that is often diagnosed at an advanced *** is a lack of information to predict the prognosis of pancreatic ***üppel-like factor （KLF） 8 has been found to be deregulated in multiple cancers,and its high expression was correlated with poor ***,so far,no information was reported about the expression of KLF8 in pancreatic *** the present study,we investigated,possibly for the first time,the expression of KLF8 in pancreatic cancer samples and analyzed its correlation with clinical parameters and overall survival （OS） *** We used immunohistochemical staining to detect KLF8 in 68 samples from patients who underwent surgery and its correlation with the clinicopathological *** used Kaplan-Meier curve to analyze the relationship between KLF8 expression and the OS *** analysis was performed in addition to multivariate hazard models with clinicopathological features to assess KLF8 as an independent prognostic *** KLF8 was present in the cytoplasm of pancreatic cancer cells and 52.9％ of the 68 cases had positive ***8 expression was not associated with sex,age,tumor location,lymph node stage,and metastasis stage,but was associated with tumor stage （P=0.04）.Kaplan-Meier method demonstrated that patients with negative expression of KLF8 had a better *** univariate and multivariate models,KLF8 was a significant predictor of OS in pancreatic *** Our results revealed that KLF8 may be a potential prognostic factor for pancreatic cancer.

Design and characteristic research of a novel electromechanical-hydraulic hybrid actuator with two transmission mechanisms

Servo-hydraulic actuators(SHAs)are widely used in mechanical equipment to drive heavy-duty ***,their energy efficiency is low,and their motion characteristics are inevitably affected by uncertain *** actuators(EMAs)possess superior energy efficiency and motion ***,they cannot easily drive heavy-duty mechanisms because of weak bearing *** study proposes and designs a novel electromechanical-hydraulic hybrid actuator(EMHA)that integrates the advantages of EMA and *** mainly features two transmission *** piston of the hydraulic transmission mechanism and the ball screw pair of the electromechanical transmission mechanism are mechanically fixed together through screw bolts,realizing the integration of two types of transmission *** control scheme of the electromechanical transmission mechanism is used for motion control,and the hydraulic transmission mechanism is used for power ***,the mathematical model,structure,and parameter design of the new EMHA are ***,the EMHA prototype and test platform are *** test results prove that the EMHA has good working characteristics and high energy *** with the valve-controlled hydraulic cylinder system,EMHA exhibits a velocity tracking error and energy consumption reduced by 49.7% and 54%,respectively,under the same working conditions.

Phosphorus(P)is essential for living plants,and P deficiency is one of the key factors limiting the yield in rapeseed production *** the most important organ for plants,root morphology traits(RMTs)play a key role in P *** investigate the genetic variability of RMT under low P availability,we dissected the genetic structure of RMTs by genome-wide association studies(GWAS),linkage mapping and candidate gene association studies(CGAS).A total of 52 suggestive loci were associated with RMTs under P stress conditions in 405 oilseed rape *** purple acid phosphatase gene BnPAP17 was found to control the lateral root number(LRN)and root dry weight(RDW)under low P *** expression of BnPAP17 was increased in shoot tissue in P-efficient cultivars compared to root tissue and P-inefficient cultivars in response to low P ***,the haplotype of BnPAP17^(Hap3)was detected for the selective breeding of P efficiency in oilseed ***-expression of the BnPAP17^(Hap3)could promote the shoot and root growth with enhanced tolerance to low P stress and organic phosphorus(Po)utilization in oilseed ***,these findings increase our understanding of the mechanisms underlying BnPAP17-mediated low P stress tolerance in oilseed rape.

Evapotranspiration(ET)is a crucial variable in the terrestrial water,carbon,and energy *** present,a large number of multi source ET products *** to sparse observations,however,great challenges exist in the evaluation and integration of ET products in remote and complex areas such as the Tibetan Plateau(TP).In this paper,the applicability of the multiple collocation(MC)method over the TP is evaluated for the first time,and the uncertainty of multisource ET products(based on reanalysis,remote sensing,and land surface models)is further analyzed,which provides a theoretical basis for ET data *** results show that 1)ET uncertainties quantified via the MC method are lower in RS-based ET products(5.95 vs.7.06 mm month^(-1))than in LSM ET products(10.22 vs.17.97 mm month^(-1))and reanalysis ET estimates(7.27 vs.12.26 mm month-1).2)A multisource evapotranspiration(MET)dataset is generated at a monthly temporal scale with a spatial resolution of 0.25°across the TP during *** has better performance than any individual product.3)Based on the fusion product,the total ET amount over the TP and its patterns of spatiotemporal variability are clearly *** annual total ET over the entire TP is approximately 380.60 ***,an increasing trend of 1.59±0.85 mm yr^(-1)over the TP is shown during *** study provides a basis for future studies on water and energy cycles and water resource management over the TP and surrounding regions.

In the areas without terrestrial communication infrastructures,unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)can be utilized to serve field robots for mission-critical *** this purpose,UAVs can be equipped with sensing,communication,and computing modules to support various requirements of *** the task process,different modules assist the robots to perform tasks in a closed-loop way,which is referred to as a sensing-communication-computing-control(SC3)*** this work,we investigate a UAV-aided system containing multiple SC^(3)loops,which leverages non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA)for efficient resource *** describe and compare three different modelling levels for the SC^(3)*** on the entropy SC^(3)loop model,a sum linear quadratic regulator(LQR)control cost minimization problem is formulated by optimizing the communication *** for the assure-to-be-stable case,we show that the original problem can be approximated by a modified user fairness problem,and accordingly gain more insights into the optimal *** results demonstrate the performance gain of using NOMA in such task-oriented systems,as well as the superiority of our proposed closed-loop-oriented design.
