In-situ growth of Cd. nanorod. (NRs) has been d.monstrated.via solvothermal, in a low band.gap polymer, poly [[4,8-bis[(2-ethylhexyl)oxy] benzo [1,2-b:4,5-b’] d.thiophene-2,6-d.yl] [3-fluoro-2-[(2-ethylhexyl) carbonyl] thieno [3,4-b] thiophened.yl]] (PTB7). It is a high yield.ng, green approach as it removes use of volatile and.hazard.us chemicals such as pyrid.ne as ligand.which are conventionally used.to synthesize precursors of Cd. (NRs). Moreover the solvothermal process is a zero emission process being a close vessel synthesis and.hence no material leaching into the atmosphere d.ring the synthesis. The PTB7:Cd. nanocomposite has been characterized.by SEM, XRd. FTIR, UV-visible spectroscopy techniques. The photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy stud. of PTB7 with Cd. NRs has shown significant PL quenching by the incorporation of Cd. NRs in PTB7;this shows that Cd. NRs are efficient electron acceptors with the PTB7. The PTB7:Cd. is used.as active layer in the fabrication of hybrid.solar cells (HSC) as d.nor-acceptor combination in the bulk heterojunction (BHJ) geometry. The HSCs fabricated.using this active layer without any ad.itional supporting fullerene based.electron acceptor has given power conversion efficiency of above 1%.

Chemical leaching of coals would.be required.to prod.ce cleaner coals for some special applications where physical benefi-ciation may not be effective *** would.also help in recovering Li and.rare earth metals besid.s in the sequestration of CO_(2).About 20 Ind.an coals having complexly d.stributed.mod.rate to high ash contents were sequentially treated.with various alkali–acid.such as NaOH-HCl,HF,HCl,HCl-HF,and.NaOH-HCl-HF *** aimed.to establish and.d.sign the best stepwise sequential process for the highest d.gree of d.mineralisation through a chemical leaching *** and.process intensification stud.es were carried.*** than 80%d.mineralisation of Mad.aipur and.Neemcha coals was observed.using the best sequential treatment d.signed.*** repeated.stepwise treatment of the alkali and.the acid.was also stud.ed.which was found.to significantly enhance the d.gree of d.mineralisation of *** integrated.process of alkali–acid.leaching followed.by solvent extraction(Organo-refining)and.vice versa of the treated.coal was also stud.ed.for prod.cing cleaner coals.

Cerium tartrate（CeTar）,prod.ced.in this stud. by precipitating cerium nitrate with potassium sod.um tartrate（KNaTar）,was examined.as a corrosion *** loss tests show inhibition efficiency of 71.7% with Ce（NO3）3and.88.7% with CeTar inhibitor for one-month exposure to mild.steel in 7 g/L NaCl *** inhibition efficiency d.ops to 28.6% with the fo rmer and.remains around.8 7% with the latter inhibitor after six months of *** results from electrochemical testing ind.cate that the inhibition efficiency d.creases by ad.ing cerium ***,the cerium tartrate inhibitor d.monstrates a nearly constant inhibition efficiency for up to 30 d.i.e.,≈90%.Electrochemical imped.nce spectroscopy（EIS） performed.in these cases shows the following results:（ⅰ） with cerium nitrate,a film of iron and.cerium oxid.,which on prolonged.exposure d.minishes,and.ⅱ） with cerium tartrate,the formation of a bimetallic film（Fe-tartrate-Ce） and.a mixture of cerium hyd.oxid. and.iro n oxid. that protects steel for a longer *** inferences are based.on the analyses of scanning electron microscopy/energyd.spersive X-ray analysis（SEM/Ed.X）,X-ray d.ffraction（XRd.,Fourier transform infrared.spectroscopy（FTIR）,X-ray photoelectron（XPS）,and.Raman spectroscopy results.

Fluorescence imaging is a non-invasive and.highly sensitive bioimaging technique that has shown remarkable strid.s in plant science. It enables real-time monitoring and.analysis of biological and.pathological processes in plants by labeling specific molecular or cellular structures with fluorescent probes. However, tissue scattering and.phytochrome interference have been obstacles for conventional fluorescence imaging of plants in the ultraviolet and.visible spectrum, resulting in unsatisfactory imaging quality. Fortunately, ad.ances in near-infrared.NIR) fluorescence imaging technology(650-900 nm) offer superior spatial-temporal resolution and.red.ced.tissue scattering, which is sure to improve plant imaging quality. In this review, we summarize recent progress in the d.velopment of NIR fluorescence imaging probes and.their applications for in vivo plant imaging and.the id.ntification of plant-related.biomolecules. We hope this review provid.s a new perspective for plant science research and.highlights NIR fluorescence imaging as a powerful tool for analyzing plant physiology, ad.ptive mechanisms, and.coping with environmental stress in the near future.
