Hepatitis E virus(HEV)is an important cause of repeated waterborne outbreaks of acute ***,several extrahepatic manifestations(EHMs)have been described in patients with HEV *** these,neurological disorders are the most common EHM associated with *** involvement of both the peripheral nervous system and central nervous system can occur together or in *** can present with normal liver function tests,which can often be misleading for *** is a paucity of data on HEV-related neurological manifestations;and these data are mostly described as case reports and case *** this review,we analyzed data of 163 reported cases of HEV-related neurological *** mechanisms of pathogenesis,clinico-demographic profile,and outcomes of the HEV-related neurological disorders are described in this *** root and plexus disorder were found to be the most commonly reported disease,followed by meningoencephalitis.

Optimization of cylindrical roller bearings(CRBs)has been performed using a robust *** ensures that the changes in the objective function,even in the case of variations in design variables during manufacturing,have a minimum possible value and do not exceed the upper limit of a desired range of percentage ***,it checks the feasibility of design outcome in presence of manufacturing tolerances in design *** any rolling element bearing,a long life indicates a satisfactory *** the present study,the dynamic load carrying capacity C,which relates to fatigue life,has been optimized using the robust *** roller bearings,boundary dimensions(i.e.,bearing outer diameter,bore diameter and width)are ***,the performance is mainly affected by the internal dimensions and not the bearing boundary dimensions mentioned *** spite of this,besides internal dimensions and their tolerances,the tolerances in boundary dimensions have also been taken into consideration for the robust *** problem has been solved with the elitist non-dominating sorting genetic algorithm(NSGA-II).Finally,for the visualization and to ensure manufacturability of CRB using obtained values,radial dimensions drawing of one of the optimized CRB has been *** check the robustness of obtained design after optimization,a sensitivity analysis has also been carried out to find out how much the variation in the objective function will be in case of variation in optimized value of design *** bearings have been found to have improved life as compared with standard ones.

Gas hydrate reserves are potential source of clean energy having low molecular weight hydrocarbons trapped in water *** this work,we report how organic compounds of different chain lengths and hydrophilicities when used in small concentration may modify hydrate growth and either act as hydrate inhibitors or *** promoters foster the hydrate growth kinetics and are used in novel applications such as methane storage as solidified natural gas,desalination of sea water and gas *** the other hand,gas hydrate inhibitors are used in oil and gas pipelines to alter the rate at which gas hydrate nucleates and *** such as methanol and ethanol which form strong hydrogen bond with water have been traditionally used as hydrate ***,due to relatively high volatility a significant portion of these inhibitors ends up in gas stream and brings further complexity to the safe transportation of natural *** this study,organic additives such as oxalic acid,succinic acid and L-aspartic acid(all three)having––COOH group(s)with aspartic acid having an additional––NH2 group,are investigated for gas hydrate promotion/inhibition *** compounds are polar in nature and thus have significant solubility in liquid water;the presence of weak acidic and water loving(carboxylic/amine groups)moieties makes these organic acids an excellent candidate for further *** study would pave ways to identify a novel(read better)promoter/inhibitor for gas hydrate *** thermodynamic conditions were generated in a stirred tank reactor coupled with cooling system;comparison of gas hydrate formation kinetics with and without additives were carried out to identify the effect of these acids on the formation and growth of *** possible mechanisms by which these additives inhibit or promote the hydrate growth are also discussed.

Background:The impact of climate change on horticultural production is of utmost concern *** such vulnerable region of horticultural importance is the Madhya Pradesh state in the central part of *** is crucial to analyse the long-term trend in climatic variations and its effect on horticultural crop ***,this study focuses on detecting trends in mean annual precipitation and temperature of 115 years for the 15 districts covering all the regions of the state as well as projections of all the Representative Concentration Pathway(RCP)climatic scenarios for 2050 and 2080 of Madhya Pradesh *** decadal(2010–2020)insight into the area and production of horticultural crops is undertaken which will help forecasting the future growth *** a better insight,case study on four horticultural crops is undertaken to assess their decadal growth trend vis-à-vis climate parameters in these 15 ***:The Mann–Kendall test for 1901–2016 and Sen’s slope indicated a non-significant change in long-term trend for precipitation except for increasing change in Khargone and decreasing change in Rewa ***-cant increasing trend of average temperature is obtained for Hoshangabad,Jabalpur,Sagar and Rewa *** Sen’s slope indicated an increase of 0.005 to 0.009℃for maximum temperature and 0.005 to 0.012℃for minimum temperature *** projections of all the RCP climate scenarios for the years 2050 and 2080 indicated non-significant variation in precipitation but an increase in maximum(1.4 to 4.1℃)and minimum(1.45 to 4.65℃)annual *** increasing trend in area and production for horticultural crops is also observed in central India for the study *** is yield increase in all the crops selected in case study except for potato,which recorded a decreased yield between the years 2010–***:The Mann–Kendall test and projections indicate towards climate change with a temperature *** the decad

Economic dispatch has a significant effect on optimal economical operation in the power systems in industrial revolution 4.0 in terms of considerable savings in *** non-linearity are added to make the fossil fuel-based power systems more *** order to achieve an accurate economical schedule,valve point loading effect,ramp rate constraints,and prohibited operating zones are being considered for realistic *** this paper,an improved,and modified version of conventional particle swarm optimization(PSO),called Oscillatory PSO(OPSO),is devised to provide a cheaper schedule with optimum *** conventional PSO is improved by deriving a mechanism enabling the particle towards the trajectories of oscillatory motion to acquire the entire search space.A set of differential equations is implemented to expose the condition for trajectory motion in *** adaptive inertia weights,this OPSO method provides an optimized cost of generation as compared to the conventional particle swarm optimization and other new meta-heuristic approaches.

Since the recorded historical period,the Kachchh Rift Basin(KRB)has encountered numerous moderate to large magnitude *** to the series of seismicity research so far,there are several important points of debate regarding the tectonic history and evolution of the KRB,especially during the Quaternary ***,the main objective of the present research is to inspect and perceive the association amongst the strain build-up,earthquake provenance,landform evolution and progression as archived by the Quaternary deposits of the *** previous studies demonstrated the evolutions of various landforms,such as the uplifted fluvial terraces,formation of the gorges,uplifted alluvial fan sequences,which can be ideally used to reconstruct the neotectonic history along active faults of *** this,the analysis of the accessible and supportive data,including geochronology provided by earlier studies along with some new dataset for a superior knowledge on the Quaternary tectonic forces prevailing in the KRB,have been carried ***,we also emphasized the differences and directions for future potential research *** observations of variability in uplift rates across the various active faults in the KRB suggest a complex geological history during the Quaternary *** results show that the vertical uplift rate along the significant active faults range from 0.8 to 2.8 mm/yr,demonstrating the variable tectonic stress regime prevailing in the *** uplift rates constricted from geomorphic and chronological aspects suggest that the tectonic movements within the Kachchh intraplate region is regulated by the fault segments and the present tectonic stress field is in accordance with the encompassing tectonic stress field associated with the northward movement of the Indian plate corresponding to the Eurasian plate.

In acute coronary syndrome(ACS),the use of anticoagulants in conjunction with antiplatelet agents in the acute phase has resulted in reduced ischemic events and is more effective than either class of drug used *** parenteral anticoagulation is essential at the time of diagnosis,a balance must be made between ischemic benefit and the increased risk of bleeding when prescribing *** events associated with anticoagulants,such as heparin-induced thrombocytopenia,bleeding problems,and the need for close monitoring of anticoagulant activity,have contributed to finding agents that reduce these *** like the Organization to Assess Strategies in Ischemic Syndromes 5 and 6 and their meta-analysis have proven the efficacy of Fondaparinux over the entire ACS *** convenience of administration(once daily),lack of monitoring,reduction in mortality,and better safety profile make Fondaparinux a simple and effective anti-coagulant for the management of ACS.

The pyrolysis of eucalyptus wood was carried out in a batch reactor to optimize the yield of *** of various parameters like feed(particle) size,temperature,presence of catalyst and heating rate on the yield of bio-oil was *** optimum conditions for high yield of bio-oil are for the particle size 2 mm^5 mm(average l/d=12.84/2.03 mm) at 450 ℃ in high heating *** reaction kinetics and the quality of bio-oil produced are independent of the presence of different catalysts like mordenite,kaoline clay,fly ash and silica *** physical properties like odour,colour,PH,viscosity,heating value were *** FT-IR analysis of bio-oil indicates the presence of different functional groups such as monomeric alcohol,phenol,ketones,aldehydes,carboxylic acid,amines,and nitro *** composition of the bio-oil at different conditions was analyzed using GC-MS and found that the components are temperature dependent but independent of catalysts used.

BACKGROUND Cardiovascular outcome trials have demonstrated cardiovascular safety of glimepiride(a sulfonylureas) against dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor ***(another newer sulfonylureas) has shown similar glycemic efficacy and 50% decreased risk of hypoglycemia compared to *** Considering the absence of cardiovascular outcome trials for gliclazide, we decided to conduct a systematic review of the literature to assess the cardiovascular(CV) safety by assessing the risk for major adverse CV events and hypoglycemia risk of gliclazide vs linagliptin in patients with type 2 diabetes(T2D).METHODS This systematic review followed the current Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines to analyze all the clinical studies published from 2008 that compared the two drugs in patients with T2D with no risk of CV disease(CVD). We included only evidence designated high quality by the Oxford Center for Evidence-based Medicine-Levels of *** Eight clinical studies were included in the narrative descriptive analysis(gliclazide: 5 and linagliptin: 3). The CV safety of gliclazide in the Action in Diabetes and Vascular Disease: Preterax and Diamicron Modified Release Controlled Evaluation trial and of linagliptin in the Cardiovascular and Renal Microvascular Outcome Study With Linagliptin(CARMELINA) and CARdiovascular Outcome study of LINAgliptin vs glimepiride in patients with T2D(CAROLINA)trials were excluded from the comparative analysis as these trials demonstrated CV and hypoglycemia benefits in patients at high risk of CVD. However, since these are landmark trials,they were discussed in brief to show the CV benefits and low hypoglycemia risk of gliclazide and linagliptin. We did not find any study comparing gliclazide with linagliptin.
