Evaluation of Nylon 6 and Nylon 66 Cord Fabrics for Scooter Tyre Production under Different Curing Conditions

Cord fabric is a critical material used in the manufacture of tyres and various composite materials to increase durability and strength. The tyre consists of many layers of cord fabric, with each layer being referred to as a cord ply. These layers are strategically positioned within the tyre’s internal structure, particularly in the tread and sidewall areas, to improve handling, durability and impact resistance. The cord fabric also serves a critical role in maintaining the structural integrity of the tyre, ensuring that it retains its contour and resists deformations under different operating conditions. This study discusses the advantages and disadvantages of using Nylon 6 (NY6) and Nylon 66 (NY66) cord fabrics in scooter tire production, with a focus on their mechanical behavior under varying curing temperatures and pressures. It was observed that while the curing time for both NY6 and NY66 remained consistent across different platen temperatures and pressures, their mechanical properties showed significant differences. NY6, known for its flexibility and impact resistance, exhibited greater changes in cord-breaking strength and elongation with increasing temperature, showing a marked decrease in breaking strength at higher temperatures. In contrast, NY66 maintained better stability and performance under similar conditions.

Antiozonants and antioxidants are additives commonly used in the rubber industry to enhance the durability and performance of rubber products. Ozone, present in the atmosphere, can cause rubber to degrade over time through a process known as ozone cracking. These rubber additives are added to rubber compounds to protect against this degradation. They work by reacting with ozone, preventing it from attacking and breaking the molecular chains in the rubber, helping to maintain the structural integrity of the rubber product. It is now well known that 6PPD contributes to the extension of the service life of rubber products. However, recent studies have shown that 6PPD can be harmful to the environment, especially when end-of-life tyres (ELTs) are contaminated with the water. With the effect of ozone, 6PPD is converted to 6PPD quinone, which is toxic enough to kill some sensitive fish species such as Coho Salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch). This study drew attention to new chemical compounds and natural products that can be used as antiozonants and antioxidants in the rubber industry instead of 6PPD. Although the scientific studies are promising, the fact that 6PPD is still used in production shows that more scientific studies and social awareness need to be developed in this area.

Infection with hepatitis B virus(HBV) poses a major health threat worldwide, where the magnitude and overburden of chronic carrier state approaches 150 million chronic carriers. The prevalence of HBV is greater among dialyzed patients compared to the general population owing to their increased vulnerability to blood and its products, along with hazards posed by contaminated hemodialysis tools and devices. Anelectronic systematic search of the published literature was carried and data on the immunological riposte to hepatitis B vaccination among hemodialysis patients was extracted from relevant studies. End stage renal disease patients on hemodialysis have a lower or an absolutely negative riposte to HBV vaccine. Several means have been tried to improve this response with some success, nevertheless none have been universally adopted. Genetic investigations are foreseen to make a break through concerning HBV vaccination.

本研究希望帮助读者一窥大规模开放在线课程技术,通过对长安大学各个学院(如经济与管理学院(SEM),土木工程学院(SCE)以及其他学院)具体院情的分析,表明了长安大学大学使用大规模开放在线课程(MOOCs)的迫切性和适用性。本研究的主要数据来源于互联网中MOOCs的相关资料。该研究试图实现以下目标:A.确认MOOCs满足对于提高国际学生入学率的需求;B.评估国际学生关于使用MOOCs作为其完成课程及日常工作的互联网工具的适应程度;C.研究互联网的某些方面,例如“如何做”你自己的视频,对互联网的搜索调查等国际学生作业时使用的研究网站。同时其中设计了一个简单的研究模型来论证预测未来人口增长率的公式,以及应用线性回归分析和皮尔森相关系数来确定该模式在现实中对长安大学的MOOCs有着显著的影响。本研究主要对240名学生进行问卷调查,共有215名实际受试者。通过封闭式问题,以及统计工具,如行业数据统计软件(SPSS V.20)和Microsoft Excel分析工具,显示变量之间的相互关系,从而确定了长安大学61%的国际学生很熟悉在线教育。这意味着学生很容易适应并使用MOOCs,同时教师对该系统同样能充分适应。研究人员认为,如果根据所取得的成果将其实际应用,通过向区域及国际推广高质量的学习和教学设施,提高学校知名度,从而提高大学的排名同时带来更多的交流机会。此外研究人员希望其能够帮助改变未来其他学者对MOOCs的看法,并为其它学习机构发展MOOCs确定一个合适的战略模式。

Assessment of genetic diversity of the indigenous crop accessions is extremely important for breeders to identify potential parents in cross-breeding programs. Fourteen cowpea accessions collected from different parts of Sudan were used for characterization at morphological and molecular levels. The seeds of the accessions were sown in the field using a randomized complete block design with three replicates. Sixteen morphological descriptors (9 qualitative and 7 quantitative) and 20 Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers were used for characterization of the accessions. The results of morphological data revealed considerable variability within and between state’s accessions. Some morphological traits revealed similarity between accessions from different states. Among the 20 RAPD markers used, 18 were polymorphic. A total of 379 polymorphic patterns were generated;polymorphic information content (PIC) ranged from 0.63 to 0.98 with an average of 0.9. The number of fragment detected ranged from 2 for OPL-11 to 51 for OPY-2 with an average of 26.06/primer and 27.07/genotype. One to five (1 - 5) unique fragments of different sizes were detected for particular accessions, which may provide a valuable resource for breeding superior cowpea cultivars in Sudan and other semi-arid zones. The aim of this study was to investigate the amount of heterosis and performance of faba bean synthetic cultivars compared to line cultivars under semi-arid conditions. Five inbred lines in at least S6 generation were developed and used to develop F1s hybrid (in all possible combination excluding reciprocal), lines mixtures (Syn-0) and synthetic generations of Syn-1. Evaluation of the entries showed the lines to have high general and specific combining ability, high yield and high average degree of cross-fertilization (0.36);hetrosis relative to mid-parent for yield was 67%. Lines mixture from four inbred lines (Hudeiba/93, Bassabier, Ed-Damar and Shabah) gave the highest yield of 3.40 t/ha for Syn-0 and 3.96 t/ha for Syn-1. Compared to the average yield t/ha of the pure stand of the four lines (3.11 t/ha), the increase in yield of was 9% in sy-0 and 27% in Syn-1. Compared to the individual yield t/ha of the pure stand of the lines, the performance of Syn-0 surpassed that of the individual pure stands of the linesby 14% for Hudiaba/93 and Bassabier and 4% for Ed-Damar and 7% for Shabah, whereas the increase in performance of Syn-1 compared to pure stand of the lines was 32%, 25% and 21%, respectively. The results confirm the previous knowledge on yield increase with successive syn-generations in faba bean due to the effects of heterogeneity and heterozygosity. Such results could be used as a base for an effective breeding program for improvement of yield of faba bean grown under the semi-arid zones.

Venlafaxine, an SNRI （serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor） drug, is commonly used to treat depression. Although it is very rare, venlafaxine may lead to addiction or abuse in some patients. To date, there are very limited data available on venlafaxine addiction. The aim of this article is to draw an attention to dependence of venlafaxine in clinical practice. Significant point of this article is： Our patient was addicted by ＂high＂ doses of venlafaxine for getting high effects. Overdose of venlafaxine produces an amphethamine-like ＂high＂ with experiences of euphoria by its ability to increase neurotransmitter levels in addiction literature [1-3]. We present a man aged 42 years, who was referred to our clinic for detoxification from venlafaxine addiction. He had been taking venlafaxine upto 1,950-2,100 mg/day to get high for the past 10 years. Physicians must be careful when prescribing antidepressants to patients, especially those with a history of alcohol and/or drug addictions or abuse.

Impact of Bee Pollination on Yield of Faba Bean (Vicia fabaL.) Grown under Semi-Arid Conditions

The effect of honeybee (Apis mellifera carnica) on yield was investigated in open-pollinated faba bean cultivars and three inbred generations produced from them (once-selfed, twice-selfed, and thrice-selfed). All entries were grown in cages under two pollination conditions: presence of bees (cross-pollination) or absence of bees (self-pollination). The open-pollinated generations gave the highest performance in the presence and absence of bees. In the presence of bees, the open-pollinated and their inbred entries gave higher performance in all of the studied traits than in the absence of bees;the average improvement in yield and its components was 22%. The highest improvement percentage in yield performance was shown by more inbred entries (thrice-selfed > once-selfed), indicating that in faba bean populations, the performance of inbred generations was chiefly associated with the tripping of flowers, which is usually governed by successfully fertilized flowers, i.e., plants result from selfing in faba bean population needs to be visited by pollinating insects (bees) to set more seeds. It concluded that honeybee has an important role in increasing faba bean yield in semi-arid conditions;hence, it is important to provide a pollinator friendly environment for their foraging places and nesting sites to secure food supply.
