Calmodulin is a ubiquitous calcium sensor to recognize the different developmental and/or stimulus-triggered calcium changes and regulate plant growth and ***,the function of calmodulin remains elusive for fleshy fruit *** performed expression studies of a family of six calmodulin genes(SlCaMs)in tomato *** calmodulins showed a double peak expression *** first flat peak appeared at 10–30 days after anthesis,but their expression rapidly declined at mature green and *** a sharp and even higher peak came at turning/pink *** six calmodulins,SlCaM1 had the highest expression during fruit enlargement,whereas SlCaM2 was the major calmodulin during fruit ***,SlCaMs showed different patterns in three ripening mutants rin,Nor and *** particular,at the stages corresponding to mature green and breaker,the expression levels of SlCaMs in those mutants were significantly higher than ***,SlCaMs,especially SlCaM2 were upregulated by *** overexpressing SlCaM2 in mature green fruit delayed ripening,while reducing SlCaM2 expression accelerated *** results suggest that SlCaMs play double roles to regulate fruit *** to the ethylene burst,the ethylene-independent repression of SlCaMs might be critical for fruit to initiate the ripening *** the ethylene burst,SlCaMs could participate in the ethylene coordinated rapid ripening.

The development of perovskite photoelectric devices with excellent performance is largely dependent on the defects in the perovskite *** address this issue,a specific drug,leflunomide(LF,C_(12)H_(9)F_(3)N_(2)O_(2)),was incorporated into the perovskite to reduce defects and improve its photoelectric *** is believed that the C=O bond on LF molecule can interact with the uncoordinated Pb2+of the perovskite,thereby reducing non-radiative *** novel approach of incorporating LF into perovskite films has the potential to revolutionize the development of high-performance perovskite photoelectric *** trifluoromethyl functional(–CF_(3))group on LF can form a protective layer on the surface of the perovskite film,shielding it from water ***,LF can be utilized to alter the nucleation position of perovskite,thus minimizing the number of defects and optimizing the film ***,the LF-doped perovskite film displays low trap density and high photoelectric *** LF-doped perovskite film showed a trap density of 8.28×10^(11),which is notably lower than the 2.04×10^(12) of the perovskite film without *** responsivity and detectivity of the LF-doped perovskite photodetector were 0.771 A/W and 2.81×10^(11) Jones,respectively,which are much higher than the 0.23 A/W and 1.06×10^(10) Jones of the LF-undoped perovskite ***,the LF-doped photodetector maintained an initial photocurrent of 86%after 30 days of storage in air,indicating drastically increased environmental *** strongly suggests that LF is an effective additive for perovskites utilized in optoelectronic devices with high performance.

Fossil fuels are the main energy source to satisfy the worldwide energy ***,the energy demands are increasing and the supply of fossil fuels is decreasing,thus many countries are looking for other fuel *** from the traditional fuels,hydrogen is considered as one of the most promising energy sources due to its intrinsic features such as clean,efficient,safe and *** novel technologies for hydrogen production from renewable sources(such as biomass)becomes a core area for the investigation of hydrogen *** this work,different pathways for hydrogen production including steam reforming,electrolysis,and biomass gasification have been systematically compared in terms of yield and *** comparison is unique since the systematic evaluation was conducted from many aspects for all the hydrogen production pathways,especially those by involving the biomass gasification that still lack of available *** assessment methods involved energy analysis,exergy analysis and economic *** was concluded that steam reforming remains the cheapest method of hydrogen production at 1.748$/kg,however,steam reforming is not an ideal process currently or for the future,gasification and electrolysis remains competitive with high yield but requires relatively high initial and annual *** biomass gasification,though its energy efficiency is lower than steam reforming,it has relatively higher mass yield,demonstrating the feasibility of this process for hydrogen *** for biomass gasification,the selection of correct feedstock is a key to maximize its yield,i.e.a yield of 82.47%is possible with corn stover fed gasification.

Effects of fruit thinning on ascorbate–glutathione cycle metabolism in black currants(Ribes nigrum L.)

To elucidate mechanisms regulating ascorbic acid (AsA) biosynthesis and accumulation in the fruit and leaves of black currants, AsA and the activities of key enzymes in the ascorbate-glutathione (AsA-GSH) cycle were measured from fruit set to fruit ripening during fruit thinning treatments of three common commercial black currant cultivars that differed in their AsA levels: 'Risager' (low), 'Brodtrop' (medium) and 'Adelinia' (high). Treatments were 50% fruit reduction (50% of total fruit set) by hand, control was no thinning. Fruit thinning treatment significantly increased AsA content in fruit of all three cultivars from weeks 2 to 8, significantly decreased AsA content in leaves from weeks 3 to 8. Dehydroascorbate reductase and monodehydroascorbate reductase activities in fruit and leaves had a similar pattern, increasing during week 2, rose until they peaked in week 4. Ascorbate peroxidase activity in fruit in the thinning treatment was slightly lower than in the control. Fruit thinning was shown to be a good model to test AsA biosynthesis regulation and accumulation in black currants. The results from our study provided strong evidence that AsA-GSH cycle involved in AsA synthesis and accumulation in fruit.

Increasing both clean water and green energy demands for survival and development are the grand challenges of our ***,we successfully fabricate a novel multifunctional 3D graphene-based catalytic membrane(3D-GCM)with active metal nanoparticles(AMNs)loading for simultaneously obtaining the water purification and clean energy generation,via a“green”one-step laser scribing *** as-prepared 3D-GCM shows high porosity and uniform distribution with AMNs,which exhibits high permeated fluxes(over 100 L m^(−2) h^(−1))and versatile super-adsorption capacities for the removal of tricky organic pollutants from wastewater under ultra-low pressure-driving(0.1 bar).After adsorption saturating,the AMNs in 3D-GCM actuates the advanced oxidization process to self-clean the fouled membrane via the catalysis,and restores the adsorption capacity well for the next time membrane *** importantly,the 3D-GCM with the welding of laser scribing overcomes the lateral shear force damaging during the long-term ***,the 3D-GCM could emit plentiful of hot electrons from AMNs under light irradiation,realizing the membrane catalytic hydrolysis reactions for hydrogen energy ***“green”precision manufacturing with laser scribing technology provides a feasible technology to fabricate high-efficient and robust 3D-GCM microreactor in the tricky wastewater purification and sustainable clean energy production as well.

Permafrost degradation has been widely reported on the Tibetan Plateau(TP).However,directly observed evidence of permafrost thawing processes and degradation rates are very limited,although it is expected to be prevalent near the periphery of a permafrost ***,we report permafrost changes and disappearance in the Qilian Mountains(northeastern TP)based on three boreholes instrumented along a 100 m transect during 2014–*** results show that permafrost has significantly degraded in the study area:the mean downward thawing rate from the permafrost table was about 0.16 m per year while the mean upward thawing rate from the permafrost base was about 0.23 m per *** estimate the mean lateral degradation rate of permafrost in this area was∼4.14 m per *** dramatically,the 1.5 m thick permafrost layer at one of the boreholes thawed completely between April of 2018 and December of *** results indicate that changes in climatic condition may have played only a limited role in controlling the active layer thickness in the vicinity of the altitudinal limit of permafrost;moisture content and soil conditions play key roles in site-specific permafrost *** study provides new quantitative insights for understanding changes near the altitudinal limit of permafrost,and we suggest that land surface models or Earth system model studies of the lateral heat exchanges should be implemented in order to better represent permafrost thawing processes.

An important question in biology is how organisms can associate with different microbes that pose no threat (commensals), pose a severe threat (pathogens) and those that are beneficial (symbionts). The root nodule symbiosis serves as important model system to address such questions in the context of plant-microbe interactions. It is now generally accepted that rhizobia have the abilities to actively suppress host immune responses during the infection process, analogous to the way in which plant pathogens can evade immune recognition. However, much remains to be elucidated with regard to the mechanisms by which the host recognizes the rhizobia as pathogens and how, subsequently, these pathways are suppressed to allow establishment of the nitrogen fixing symbiosis. In this study, we found that SymRK (Symbiosis Receptor-like Kinase) is required for rhizobial suppression of plant innate immunity in Lotus japonicus. SymRK associates with LjBAK1 (BRASSINOSTEROID INSENSITIVE 1-Associated receptor Kinase 1), a well characterized, positive regulator of plant innate immunity, and directly inhibits LjBAK1 kinase activity. Rhizobial inoculation enhances the association between SymRK and LjBAK1 in planta. LjBAK1 is required to regulate plant innate immunity and plays a negative role in mediating rhizobial infection in L. japonicus. The data indicate that the protein complex of SymRK-LjBAK1 serves as an intersection point between rhizobial symbiotic signaling pathways and innate immunity pathways, which provides an evidence that rhizobia might actively suppress the host's ability to mount a defense response in the legume-rhizobium symbiosis.

本文基于隐私计算理论与调节定向理论对社交网络用户的信息分享行为进行研究,重在研究感知风险与感知收益对用户信息分享行为的影响,以及用户调节定向特质对感知风险和感知收益的影响及其对用户信息分享行为的调节作用。本文构建了基于调节定向理论的社交网络用户信息分享行为模型,通过调查问卷收集到了376份有效样本,并通过构建回归方程、t检验、方差分析的方法对提出的假设进行了验证。研究表明,感知风险负向影响用户信息分享行为,而感知收益正向影响信息分享行为,同时用户的调节定向特质对用户在感知收益上的影响显著。本文根据此结论为社交网络平台的发展提出了合理的建议。
