The exponential spread of COVID-19 worldwide is evident,with devastating outbreaks primarily in the United States,Spain,Italy,the United Kingdom,France,Germany,Turkey and *** of 1 May 2020,a total of 3,308,386 confirmed cases have been reported worldwide,with an accumulative mortality of 233,*** to the complexity and uncertainty of the pathology of COVID-19,it is not easy for front-line doctors to categorise severity levels of clinical COVID-19 that are general and severe/critical cases,with *** more than 300 laboratory features,coupled with underlying disease,all combine to complicate proper and rapid patient ***,such screening is necessary for early triage,diagnosis,assignment of appropriate level of care facility,and institution of timely intervention.A machine learning analysis was carried out with confirmed COVID-19 patient data from 10 January to 18 February 2020,who were admitted to Tongji Hospital,in Wuhan,China.A softmax neural network-based machine learning model was established to categorise patient severity *** to the analysis of 2662 cases using clinical and laboratory data,the present model can be used to reveal the top 30 of more than 300 laboratory features,yielding 86.30%blind test accuracy,0.8195 F1-score,and 100%consistency using a two-way patient classification of severe/critical to *** severe/critical cases,F1-score is 0.9081(*** is 0.9050,and precision is 0.9113).This model for classification can be accomplished at a mini-second-level computational cost(in contrast to minute-level manual).Based on available COVID-19 patient diagnosis and therapy,an artificial intelligence model paradigm can help doctors quickly classify patients with a high degree of accuracy and 100%consistency to significantly improve diagnostic and classification *** discovered top 30 laboratory features can be used for greater differentiation to serve as an essential supplement to current guidelines,

目的　探讨改良的微拉伸法在同一牙上做平行配对粘接比较的可行性 ,并评价两种新型牙本质粘接剂 (Prime & Bond RNT;Prime one Mirage TM)的粘接效果。方法　选用 15颗拔出的无龋人类磨牙 ,冠部横切暴露牙本质 ,于中央垂直向下开一深约 5 mm的小槽 ,将粘接面分成大致相等的两部分 ,以分别接受两种粘接剂处理。粘接后的标本浸于 37℃的蒸溜水中 2 4小时后分成两组 : 组 (5颗牙 )直接测试粘接强度 ; 组 (10颗牙 )则在粘接强度测试前行 5℃和 5 5℃的冷热循环 2 40 0次。各预备的标本被片切成若干“酒杯”形薄块 (凹槽间最窄处相距约为1.0 m m)供拉伸测试。结果　未经温度循环和经温度循环的两组试件的粘接强度分别为 :Prim e & Bond RNT:42 MPa、 31MPa;Prim e one Mirage TM:6 4MPa、38MPa。双因素方差分析表明 ,此两种粘接剂的微拉伸强度间以及它们各自是否行冷热循环处理的粘接强度间均存在显著性差异 (P0 .0 5 )。回归分析提示 ,以每牙为单位分别得出的这两种粘接剂各自的平均微拉伸强度间存在相关性 ,并具有统计学意义 (r=0 .5 75 ,P<0 .0 5 )。结论　改良微拉伸法可用于比较和评价两种牙本质粘接?

当形式操纵有助于贝叶斯推理时会有怎样的加工发生呢?一种观点认为自然取样的频率可以激发在其操作中具有相对特异性的特权表征系统。而与之相对的一种观点则认为,自然取样频率只是引发具有嵌套关系的更为普遍的加工的一种方式。比较两种观点,后者预示着只需要使用相当简要和直接的干预(如简单的指示)就能够促进推理的改善,而前者则意味着更为广泛的干预和/或更有洞见的理解才能改善推理。本研究表明,无论是短暂立即的干预,还是预存的表征偏向,抑或是表征的灵活性都不能促进被试的表现。另一方面,也有证据显示,频率论者的问题解释可以改善统计推理表现,而且有时还会增加其反应的信心。这些结果支持了特权表征系统观。

Like mother, like daughter： heritability of female Richardson＇s ground squirrel Urocitellus richardsonii cortisol stress responses

Activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis liberates glucocorticoids, which provides an acute indication of an individual's response to stressors. The heritability of the stress response in wild mammals, however, remains poorly documented. We quantified the cortisol stress response of female Richardson's ground squirrels (RGSs) to handling and physical restraint, testing for: (1) the effects of individual age, time of day, and sample latency; (2) repeatability within individuals; (3) narrow-sense heritability; and (4) differences among individuals owing to potential genetic and/or environmental effects. We detected a positive linear relationship between baseline plasma cortisol (BL-cortisol) concentration and stress-induced plasma cortisol (SI-cortisol) concentration that defined each individual's cortisol stress response. BL-cortisol, SI-cortisol, and stress response did not differ according to the time the sample was taken, or by subject age. Cortisol stress response was highly repeatable within individuals, had a mother-offspring heritability of = 0.40 ± 0.24 (mean ± Se), full-sibling heritability of , and half-sibling heritability of . Stress responses of sibling groups, immediate-family groups, and squirrels within a given area did not differ, whereas those of individuals from more distantly related matrilines did. Our results highlight the natural variability in HPA axis reactivity among individuals by quantifying both BL- and SI-cortisol levels, demonstrate partial heritability of the stress response that is not attributable to environmental variation, and suggest that at least part of an individual's stress response can be accounted for by differences in matrilineal history.

Background and purpose:Providing participants with evidence-based care for secondary prevention is an ethical and scientific priority for trials in stroke *** optimal strategy,however,is *** report the performance of a new approach for delivering preventive care to trial ***:Participants were enrolled in the Insulin Resistance Intervention after Stroke trial,which examined the insulin sensitiser,pioglitazone versus placebo for prevention of stroke and myocardial infarction after ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic *** care was the responsibility of the participants’personal healthcare providers,but investigators monitored care and provided feedback *** studied achievement of 8 prevention goals at baseline and 3 annual visits,with a focus on 3 priority goals:blood pressureensity lipoprotein(LDL)cholesterole proportion of participants achieving the priority goals was highest for antithrombotic use(96–99%in each year)and similar for blood pressure(66–72%in each year)and LDL(68–70%in each year).All 3 priority goals were achieved by 47–52%of participants in any given ***,only 22%of participants achieved all 3 goals in each ***:A strategy of monitoring care and providing feedback was associated with high average yearly achievement of 3 priority secondary prevention goals,but the majority of trial participants did not persist in being at goal over *** registration number:NCT00091949.

Reactive Arrays of Colorimetric Sensors for Metabolite and Steroid Identification

The work described herein examines a rapid mix-and-measure method called DeTeCHIP suitable for screening of steroids and metabolites. The addition of steroids and metabolites to reactive arrays of colorimetric sensors generated characteristic color “fingerprints” that were used to identify the analyte. A color analysis tool was used to identify the analyte pool that now includes biologically relevant analytes. The mix-and-measure arrays allowed the detection of disease metabolites, orotic acid and argininosuccinic acid;and the steroids androsterone, 1,4-androstadiene, testosterone, stanozolol, and estrone. The steroid 1,4-androstadiene was also detected by this method while dissolved in synthetic urine. Some of the steroids, such as androstadiene, stanozolol, and androsterone were co-dissolved with (2-hydroxypropyl)-β-cyclodextrin in order to increase solubility in aqueous buffered solutions. The colorimetric arrays do not intend to eliminate eLISA or mass spectroscopy based screening, but to possibly provide an alternative analytical detection method for steroids and metabolites.
