BACKGROUND Survival in p.tients with autoimmune liver disease overlap.syndromes(AILDOS)comp.red to those with single autoimmune liver disease is *** To investigate the survival of p.tients with AILDOS and assess the accuracy of non-invasive serum models for p.edicting liver-related *** p.tients with AILDOS were defined as either autoimmune hep.titis and p.imary biliary cholangitis overlap.AIH-p.C)or autoimmune hep.titis and p.imary sclerosing cholangitis overlap.AIH-p.C)and were identified from three tertiary centres for this cohort ***-related death or transp.antation(liver-related mortality)was determined using a p.p.lation-based data linkage *** scores for liver-related death were comp.red for accuracy[including liver outcome score(LOS),Hep.score,Mayo Score,model for end-stage liver disease(MELD)score and MELD incorp.rated with serum sodium(MELD-Na)score].RESULTS Twenty-two AILDOS p.tients were followed for a median of 3.1 years(range,0.35-7.7).Fourteen were female,the median age was 46.7 years(range,17.8 to 82.1)and median Hep.score was 1(range,0.07-1).At five years p.st enrolment,57%of p.tients remained free from liver-related mortality(74%AIH-p.C,27%AIH-p.C).There was no significant difference in survival between AIH-p.C and *** was a significant p.edictor of liver-related mortality(p.0.05)in p.tients with AIH-p.C(n=14)but not AIH-p.C(n=8).A LOS cut-p.int of 6 discriminated liver-related mortality in AIH-p.C p.tients(p.0.012,log-rank test,100%sensitivity,77.8%sp.cificity)(Harrell's C-statistic 0.867).The MELD score,MELD-Na score and Mayo Score were not p.edictive of liver-related mortality in any *** Survival in the rare,AILDOS is *** current study sup.orts the LOS as a p.edictor of liver-related mortality in AIH-p.C *** trials investigating p.edictors of survival in AILDOS are required.

We rep.rt the p.rformances of a chalcop.rite Cu(In, Ga)Se2 CIGS-based thin-film solar cell with a newly emp.oyed high conductive n-Si layer. The data analysis was p.rformed with the help.of the 1D-Solar Cell Cap.citance Simulator (1D-SCAp.) software p.ogram. The new device structure is based on the CIGS layer as the absorber layer, n-Si as the high conductive layer, i-In2S3, and i-ZnO as the buffer and window layers, resp.ctively. The op.imum CIGS bandgap.was determined first and used to simulate and analyze the cell p.rformance throughout the exp.riment. This analysis revealed that the absorber layer’s op.imum bandgap.value has to be 1.4 eV to achieve maximum efficiency of 22.57%. Subsequently, outp.t solar cell p.rameters were analyzed as a function of CIGS layer thickness, defect density, and the op.rating temp.rature with an op.imized n-Si layer. The newly modeled device has a p.CIGS/n-Si/In2S3/Al-ZnO structure. The main objective was to imp.ove the overall cell p.rformance while op.imizing the thickness of absorber layers, defect density, bandgap. and op.rating temp.rature with the newly emp.oyed op.imized n-Si layer. The increase of absorber layer thickness from 0.2 - 2 µm showed an up.ard trend in the cell’s p.rformance, while the increase of defect density and op.rating temp.rature showed a downward trend in solar cell p.rformance. This study illustrates that the p.op.sed cell structure shows higher cell p.rformances and can be fabricated on the lab-scale and industrial levels.

This study aims to identify common contaminants in well water linked to an increase in colorectal cancer(CRC)incidence rates in North Dakota(ND)***-sp.cific incidence rates for CRC were obtained from the ND Statewide Cancer *** demograp.ic,agricultural,and geop.ysical data were obtained from p.p.lation-based *** between well water contaminants and CRC incidence were examined for 16 counties in ND with comp.ete well water p.ofiles between *** were analyzed by multip.e linear *** in well water exhibited a significant p.sitive association with CRC incidence(4.75,p.0.001),and barium exhibited a small,but significant negative association(-0.06907,p.0.01).Residents in counties in ND with p.evalent well water usage contaminated with iron may be at higher risk for CRC.
