In order to assess Stathmin as an immunohistoch.mical(IhC)indicator of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)pathway activity in hPV-negative head&neck squamous cell carcinoma(hNSCC),we compared Stathmin IhC to expression of other pathway *** also evaluated the relationship between Stathmin IhC and the mutational status of four key pathway ***,we ascertained whether Stathmin IhC correlates with tumor grade or primary *** exists between high Stathmin expression and high pAKT1 expression,indicating a role for Stathmin IhC as a marker of pathway *** analysis did not show correlation between Stathmin IhC and mutation of the four genes *** also observed an association between high Stathmin expression and oropharyngeal primary *** results suggest utility of Stathmin IhC as an indicator of PI3K pathway activity,and thereby demonstrate potential relevance of Stathmin IhC in the context,of hNSCC.

Anterior shoulder instability with bone loss can be a difficult problem to treat. It usually involves a component of either glenoid deficiency or a hill-Sachs lesion. Recent data shows that soft tissue procedures alone are typically not adequate to provide stability to the shoulder. As such, numerous surgical procedures have been described to directly address these bony deficits. For glenoid defects, coracoid transfer and iliac crest bone block procedures are popular and effective. For h.meral head defects, both remplissage and osteochondral allografts have decreased the rates ofrecurrent instability. Our review provides an overview of current literature addressing these treatment options and others for addressing bone loss complicating anterior glenoh.meral instability.

The key role of manganese(mn)in the biogeoch.mical cycle of trace elements has been of great interest in recent ***,the redox properties of aqueous mn(Ⅲ)have been studied to a lesser ***(Ⅲ)is not stable in solution by ***,when complexed with inorganic ligands,it has shown potential to oxidize and reduce trace *** the present study,we are exploring the redox characteristics of the complex mn(Ⅲ)-Pyrophosphate(mn(Ⅲ)-PP).This complex is stable over a wide range of ph values but requires the ratio of mn:PP to be less than 1:***,the redox reaction of chromium(Cr(Ⅲ))and mn(Ⅲ)-PP is investigated.A solid,Cr(Oh)_(3),is used as a source of Cr(Ⅲ).For this reaction,environmentally relevant parameters,such as ph,ionic strength,ratio mn(Ⅲ)/Cr(Ⅲ),and excess of ligand,were *** showed that mn(Ⅲ)can effectively oxidize Cr(Ⅲ)to Cr(Ⅵ),taking about 15 days for the reaction to *** reaction occurs only under acidic conditions(ph4),and with a low excess of *** initial mn(Ⅲ)concentration decreases as the Cr(Ⅵ)is produced,and Cr(Ⅵ)can be adsorbed back into the Cr(Oh)_(3)surface,limiting the mobility of this toxic *** this adsorption,significant amounts of Cr(VI)are release in the aqueous *** study shows the importance of a mobile species(mn-PP complex)in the oxidation of Cr(Ⅲ)and the release of Cr(Ⅵ)to the environment.

This study proposes an approach of leveraging information gathered from multiple traffic data sources at different resolutions to obtain approximate inference on the traffic distribution of Chicago's O'hare Airport ***,it proposes the ingestion of traffic datasets at different resolutions to build spatiotemporal models for predicting the distribution of traffic volume on the road *** to its good adaptability and flexibility for spatiotemporal data,the Gaussian process(GP)regression was employed to provide short-term forecasts using data collected by loop detectors(sensors)and supplemented by telematics *** GP regression is used to make predictions of the distribution of the proportion of sensor data traffic volume represented by the telematics data for each location of the ***,the fitted GP model can be used to determine the approximate traffic distribution for a testing location outside of the training *** in the transportation sector can find the results of this work helpful for making informed decisions relating to current and future transportation conditions in the area.

We present a thorough description of the physical regimes for ultracold bosons in double wells, with special attention paid to macroscopic superpositions （mSs）. We use a generalization of the Lipkin-meshkov-Glick h.miltonian of up to eight single particle modes to study these mSs, solving the h.miltonian with a combination of numerical exact diagonalization and high-order perturbation theory. The mS is between left and right potential wells; the extreme case with all atoms simulta- neously located in both wells and in only two modes is the famous NOON state, but our approach encompasses much.more general mSs. Use of more single particle modes brings dimensionality into the problem, allows us to set hard limits on the use of the original two-mode LmG model com- monly treated in the literature, and also introduces a mixed Josephson-Fock regime. higher modes introduce angular degrees of freedom and mS states with different angular properties.

The objective of this study is to investigate the occurrence of haloacetic acids （hAAs）, a group of disinfection byproducts, in swimming pool and spa water. The samples were collected from six indoor pools, six outdoor pools and three spas in Pennsylvania, the United States, and from five outdoor pools and nine indoor pools in Beijing, China. Five hAAs （hAA5）, including monochloroacetic acid, dichloroacetic acid, trichloroacetic acid, monobromoacetic acid, and dibromoacetic acid were analyzed. Total chlorine, ph and total organic carbon concentration were analyzed as well. Results indicated that the levels of hAA5 in swimming pools and spas in the United States ranged from 70 to 3980μg·L^-1, with an arithmetic average at 1440μg·L^-1 and a median level at 1150μg·L^-1. These levels are much higher than the levels reported in chlorinated drinking water and are likely due to organic matters released from swimmers＇ bodies. The levels of hAA5 in swimming pools in China ranged from 13 to 332μg·L^-1, with an arithmetic average at 117μg·L^-1 and a median level at 114μg·L^-1. The lower hAA levels in swimming pools in China were due to the lower chlorine residuals. Results from this study can help water professionals to better understand the formation and stability of hAAs in chlorinated water and assess risks associated with exposures to hAAs in swimming pools and spas.

Ch.mical absorption is a crucial step for several ch.mical processes such as ammonia production, coal gasification, methane reforming,ethylene oxide manufacturing and treatment of associated gas streams [1]. It is considered one of the main processes to eliminate CO_2 emissions from power plants by *** of new solvents are of high interest in ch.mical absorption for carbon capture. For the design of the absorption and desorption columns it is essential to know the vapour-liquid equilibrium(VLE), heat of absorption and densities. N,N-diethylethanolamine(DEEA) appeared as one of the amines with the lowest amount of energy needed for its regeneration [2], which would directly decrease the operation costs. DEEA has a high CO_2 loading of 1 mol/mol of amine compared to the traditional mEA solvent(0.5 mol/mol amine) and is obtained from renewable sources[1]. The main weakness is its low absorption rate and consequently the use of promoters is *** this work, a thermodynamic model based on the electrolyte non-random two-liquid theory(eNRTL) was created and fitted to correlate and predict the partial and total pressures of the unloaded and loaded aqueous DEEA solutions. New interaction parameters were obtained for the binary and tertiary system. This model represents the vapour pressures of the pure components, DEEA and h_2 O, with AARD of 1.9% and 1.73%respectively. Furthermore, the fitted model predicts the total pressure above the binary system, h_2O-DEEA, with AARD of 0.05%. The excess of enthalpy and densities are predicted with AARD of 5.63% and 1.38% respectively. The tertiary system, h_2O-DEEA-CO_2, is fitted for 2 m and5 m DEEA solutions with loading between 0.042 and 0.9 mol CO_2/mol amine up to 80 ℃. Results of CO_2 partial pressures and total pressures are reproduced, with AARD of 19.45% and 16.18% respectively. Densities are predicted with an AARD of 1.52%.
