Objective To investigate the in vivo immunomodulatory and anti-tumor mechanisms of the combined treatment of novel Four-Herb formula(4HF)and doxorubicin in triple-negative breast cancer(TNBc).Methods Murine-derived triple-negative mammary carcinoma cell line,4T1 cells,was cultured and inoculated into mouse mammary ***-six mice were randomly assigned into 6 groups(n=11 in ench):naive,control,LD 4HF(low dose 4HF),HD 4HF(high dose 4HF),LD 4HF+D(low dose and doxorubicin),and D(doxorubicin).Apart from the naive group,each mouse received subcutaneous inoculation with 5×10^(5)4T1 cells resuspended in 100µL of normal saline in the mammary fat *** from the day of tumor cell inoculation,tumors were grown for 6 *** LD and HD groups received daily oral gavage of 658 and 2,630 mg/kg 4HF,*** LD 4HF+D group received daily oral gavage of 658 mg/kg 4HF and weekly intraperitoneal injection of doxorubicin(5 mg/kg).The D group received weekly intraperitoneal injections of doxorubicin(5 mg/kg).The treatment naive mice received daily oral gavage of 0.2 mL double distilled water and 0.1 mL normal saline via intraperitoneal injection once a *** control group received daily oral gavage of 0.2 mL double-distilled *** treatment period was 30 *** the end of treatment,mice organs were harvested to analyze immunological activities via immunophenotyping,gene and multiplex analysis,histological staining,and gut microbiota *** Mice treated with the combination of 4HF and doxorubicin resulted in significantly reduced tumor and spleen burdens(Pcyte landscape,and manipulated gut microbiota to favor the anti-tumor immunological ***,immunosuppressive genes,cytokines,and chemokines such as c-c motif chemokine 2 and interleukin-10 of tumors were significantly downregulated(Pcin combination treatment demonstrated synergetic activities and was most effective

The incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma(Hcc) is increasing worldwide,largely due to hepatitis B virus(HBV),hepatitis c virus and liver *** HBV infection is estimated to cause 55%-60% of the cases of Hcc worldwide and over 70% in Asian *** resection is currently the mainstay of treatment due to the low surgical mortality,a wider treatment indication,and simplicity of post-treatment *** is an ever-increasing demand on surgeons to perform curative liver resection in Hcc,with the hope of avoiding tumor *** B-related-Hcc has distinct clinicopathological features,which should be considered when treating the *** author presents a review of the recently evolving strategies and emerging therapies to improve Hcc postresectional outcomes and focus on perioperative measures to improve patient outcome,with particular reference to the current status of adjuvant therapies in Hcc patients after liver resection.

Microstructure Evolution of a Nickel-Base Alloy Resistant to High Temperature during Aging

In the present study, the microstructural evolution during aging at 1023, 1073, 1123 and 1173 K of a 35cr-45Ni heat resistant alloy, produced in the form of centrifugally cast tubes, was characterized by means of light optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with secondary and backscattered electron imaging, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and Vickers hardness tests. The evolution of the Vickers hardness at 1023 K for aged samples shows that the microstructure is stable during the analyzed aging period. At 1073 K, the rate of increase in hardness is lower than 1023 K and this behavior would be associated with morphological changes observed in primary interdendritic carbides and secondary carbides in the matrix. At 1123 K and 1173 K, an atypical behavior in Vickers hardness curve is presented;where it can be seen that at certain aging times, the hardness decreases significantly. A microstructural analysis of these samples indicates that they have a region free of precipitates (near interdendritic edges) where the hardness is lower. Probably, these regions are areas poor in chromium.

Epidemiological Aspects of cervicofacial cellulitis Due to Dental Origin in the city of Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso)

Background: Head and neck cellulitis of dental origin are polymicrobial bacterial infections involving the cellulo-adipose spaces of the face and neck. The objective of this work was to describe the epidemiological and clinical profile of patients with head and neck cellulitis. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study conducted from 1 January to 30 June 2020. All patients consulting for cervico-facial cellulitis of dental origin in 2 university hospitals in Ouagadougou were included in the study. The usual parameters of descriptive statistics were estimated for each variable. Results: Two hundred and ninety-two cases (184 men and 108 women), aged 3 to 85 years were collected. The 25 - 35 years old were the most affected (33%). Decay was the leading dental cause (95.6%). The delay in consultation was included within 7 days in 74.66% of cases. Ninety-one-point forty-four percent of patients had poor oral hygiene. Diffuse cellulitis was the most common (64.04%) and peri-mandibular regions were the most invaded (42.81%). conclusion: The frequencies observed in our study allow us to conclude that cervicofacial cellulitis of dental origin is still frequent and affects a young and disadvantaged population.

Background: cervicofacial cellulitis is a severe infection and is responsible for a major disruption of host homeostasis. The aim of this work was to describe the haematological and biochemical variations of cervico-facial cellulitis. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study conducted from 1 January to 31 December 2020. All patients hospitalized for cervico-facial cellulitis of dental origin were included in the study. The usual parameters of descriptive statistics were estimated for each variable. Results: Our sample consisted of 166 patients. The average age of patients with cervicofacial cellulitis in our study was 39.9 ± 15.39 years. Red blood cell count was low in 55.5% of patients and hyperleukocytosis was noted in 89.16% of patients. Platelets were normal in 43.14% of patients and 78.43% of patients had a low haematocrit (haemodilution). Anemia was noted in 64.7% of patients. In addition, 61.0% of patients had elevated uricemia and 31.17% had elevated creatinemia. conclusion: cellulitis is still a common condition in less privileged environments. Its diagnosis can be guided by clinical and biological findings. consistent education of the population on oral health, and the control of biological disorders that result from it, are sufficient to greatly reduce its prevalence and the appearance of complicated forms.

A prospective double-blind study was performed to determine if Western blot detection of P34H, a sperm protein of epididymal origin that is involved in the binding to the zona pellucida, is predictive of standard IVF outcome. Our results demonstrate that the proportion of positive P34H cases that produced embryos in vitro clearly differs from caseswith undetectable levels of P34H (P < .001).

Evaluation of the Antimicrobial Activity of Stryphnodendron barbatiman against citrobacter freundii

Medicinal plants have been presented as a valuable source of preservation of human health. In special, Stryphnodendron barbatiman has been employed due to its antimicrobial activity. This plant is rich in tannins and has been used in popular medicine for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorder, treatment of lesions, and also as anti-inflammatory microbicide. citrobacter freundii is a member of the family Enterobacteriaceae and is one of the major causes of opportunistic infections. This microorganism is a bacterium (bacillus) aerobic gram-negative with a length in the range of 1 to 5 mm. c. freundii is commonly found in water, soil, food and occasionally in the gastrointestinal tract of animals and humans. In this paper, we have demonstrated the antibacterial activity of S. barbatiman by observing cellular death by using inhibition halo approach. Atomic force microscopy and FT-IR spectroscopy results suggested that interaction between the main active components of S. barbatiman with cellular wall of c. freundii gives rise to cellular wall damage, and then leads this microorganism to death.

Synthesis, characterization and Analysis of Leishmanicide Ability of the compound [Ru(cl)3(H2O)2(gly)]

Studies of coordinated compounds containing ruthenium (Ru2+ and Ru3+) have shown very effective in vitro results for the treatment of cancer and neglected diseases such as leishmaniasis. In this paper, we present the synthesis of the compound [Ru(cl)3(H2O)2(gly)], which was characterized by spectroscopic (Ultraviolet-visibleand infrared) and thermal analysis (Thermogravimetry/Derived Thermogravimetry and Thermogravimetry/Differential Thermal Analysis). The analysis of the compound in the Ultraviolet-visibleregion showed a 290 nm band λmax (ε= 1.685 × 103 L·cm-1·mol-1), attributed to the ligand metal charge transfer (LMcT). The spectroscopy (IR) showed major vibrational bands at δa (-cOO-) 1664 cm-1, δs (-cOO-) 1388 cm-1, δs () 1571 cm-1 and δs (ccN) 889 cm-1. The thermal analysis by TG/DTG and TG-DTA indicated that the complex has five consecutive stages of decomposition: at 115°c (TG = 12.18%;calculated = 11.32%) H2O (coordinating water), exothermic peaks at 230°c, 307°c, 440°c and 463°c due to oxidative decomposition of glycine, followed by the formation of RuclO residue at 665°c (TG = 41.11%;calculated = 40.81%). The thermal characterization suggested the stoichiometry of the complex [Rucl3(H2O)2(gly)]. The antileishmanial capacity of this compound was also evaluated and the results indicated a 31% decrease in the parasitic infection of macrophages and a 1.5 to 3 fold reduction in the number of parasites per cell after treatment with 100 μg/mL of the complex. These results support the possible use of this compound as a therapeutic alternative against medical and veterinary parasites.
