BACKGROUND Up until now,no research has been reported on the association between the cli-nical growth rate of multilocular cystic renal neoplasm of low malignant potential(MCRNLMP)and computed tomography(CT)imaging *** study sought to examine the correlation between them,with the objective of distin-guishing unique features of MCRNLMP from renal cysts and exploring effective management *** To investigate optimal management strategies of *** We retrospectively collected and analyzed data from 1520 patients,comprising 1444 with renal cysts and 76 with MCRNLMP,who underwent renal cyst decom-pression,radical nephrectomy,or nephron-sparing surgery for renal cystic disease between January 2013 and December 2021 at our *** of MC-RNLMP utilized the Bosniak classification for imaging and the 2016 World Health Organization criteria for clinical *** Our meticulous exploration has revealed compelling findings on the occurrence of ***,it comprises 1.48%of all cases involving simple renal cysts,5.26%of those with complex renal cysts,and a noteworthy 12.11%of renal tumors coexisting with renal cysts,indicating a statistically significant difference(P=0.001).Moreover,MCRNLMP constituted a significant 22.37%of the patient po-pulation whose cysts demonstrated a rapid growth rate of≥2.0 cm/year,whereas it only represented 0.66%among those with a growth rate below 2.0 cm/*** the 76 MCRNLMP cases studied,none of the nine patients who underwent subsequent nephron-sparing surgery or radical nephrectomy following renal cyst decompression experienced recurrence or *** the remaining 67 patients,who were actively monitored over a 3-year postoperative period,only one showed suspicious recurrence on CT *** MCRNLMP can be tentatively identified and categorized into three types based on CT scanning and growth rate *** treating MCRNLMP,partial nephrectomy is preferred,while rad

Tumor vaccine,a promising modality of tumor immunotherapy,needs to go through the process of tumor antigen generation and loading,antigen drainage to lymph nodes(LNs),antigen internalization by dendritic cells(DCs),DC maturation,and antigen cross-presentation to activate ***,tumor vaccines are often unable to satisfy all the steps,leading to the limitation of their application and ***,based on a smart nanogel system,an in situ nano-vaccine(CpG@Man-P/Tra/Gel)targeting LNs was constructed to induce potent anti-tumor immune effects and inhibit the recurrence and metastasis of ovarian *** CpG@Man-P/Tra/Gel exhibited MMP-2-sensitive release of trametinib(Tra)and nano-adjuvant CPG@Man-P,which generated abundant in situ depot of whole-cell tumor antigens and formed in situ nano-vaccines with CpG@*** from mannose(Man)modification,the nano-vaccines targeted to LNs,promoted the uptake of antigens by DCs,further inducing the maturation of DCs and activation of T ***,CpG@Man-P with different particle sizes were prepared and the effective size was selected to evaluate the antitumor effect and immune response in ***,combined with PD-1 blocking,the vaccine effectively inhibited primary tumor growth and induced tumor-specific immune response against tumor recurrence and metastasis of ovarian cancer.

Angiogenesis in atherosclerosis(AS)promotes plaque ***-126 has a significant role in ***(TMP)and paeoniflorin(PF)have anti-atherosclerotic ***,the miR-126-related mechanisms of TMP and PF combination(TMP-PF)on angiogenesis in AS have not been *** explore the mechanism of TMP-PF on angiogenesis in AS targeting *** umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)were assigned into the control,model,TMP-PF,TMP-PF+miR-126 inhibitor,and simvastatin *** were transfected with miR-126 inhibitor or negative control,incubated with oxidized low-density lipoprotein(ox-LDL)to establish AS model,and then treated with TMP-PF or *** proliferation,migration,and tube formation assays are conducted,and the expression of angiogenesis-related factors were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)and Western *** expression level of miR-126 was confirmed by polymerase chain reaction(PCR).0x-LDL promoted HUVECs proliferation,migration,and tube formation,downregulated miR-126 expression,and increased the expression of VEGF,VEGFR2,bFGF,and ***-PF inhibited proliferation,migration,and tube formation,upregulated miR-126 expression and decreased the expression of VEGF,VEGFR2,bFGF,and FGFR1 in ox-LDL-induced ***,the effects of TMP-PF on angiogenesis and the expression of miR-126,VEGF,VEGFR2,and FGFR1 were abolished by miR-126 ***-PF suppressed angiogenesis in AS by regulating miR-126/VEGF/VEGFR2 pathway,which might elucidate the underlying mechanism of TMP-PF in alleviating AS.

Finer topographic data improves distribution modeling of Picea crassifolia in the northern Qilian Mountains

The Qilian Mountains, a national key ecological function zone in Western China, play a pivotal role in ecosystem services. However, the distribution of its dominant tree species, Picea crassifolia (Qinghai spruce), has decreased dramatically in the past decades due to climate change and human activity, which may have influenced its ecological functions. To restore its ecological functions, reasonable reforestation is the key measure. Many previous efforts have predicted the potential distribution of Picea crassifolia, which provides guidance on regional reforestation policy. However, all of them were performed at low spatial resolution, thus ignoring the natural characteristics of the patchy distribution of Picea crassifolia. Here, we modeled the distribution of Picea crassifolia with species distribution models at high spatial resolutions. For many models, the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) is larger than 0.9, suggesting their excellent precision. The AUC of models at 30 m is higher than that of models at 90 m, and the current potential distribution of Picea crassifolia is more closely aligned with its actual distribution at 30 m, demonstrating that finer data resolution improves model performance. Besides, for models at 90 m resolution, annual precipitation (Bio12) played the paramount influence on the distribution of Picea crassifolia, while the aspect became the most important one at 30 m, indicating the crucial role of finer topographic data in modeling species with patchy distribution. The current distribution of Picea crassifolia was concentrated in the northern and central parts of the study area, and this pattern will be maintained under future scenarios, although some habitat loss in the central parts and gain in the eastern regions is expected owing to increasing temperatures and precipitation.
