The Ediacaran Period records a significant turning point in the evolution of life on Earth,witnessing the rise to ecological dominance of macroscopic tissue-grade *** Wenghui biota from the Doushantuo Formation of South China hosts abundant multicellular algal macrofossils and problematica,some of which might be closely related to taxa from classic Late Ediacaran assemblages from South Australia and the White Sea biota of ***,a lack of well-resolved isotopic age estimates has hampered efforts to constrain the timing of appearance of the Wenghui biota,obfuscating its significance to our understanding of Ediacaran macroevolution in the aftermath of the Snowball Earth ***,we present the first SHRIMP zircon U-Pb dating results for samples obtained from a laminated tuff ash layer at the base of the Wenghui biota in the Doushantuo Formation,Jiangkou County,Tongren City,Guizhou Province,*** analyses yield an age of 595.4±5.3 Ma for the first appearance of Wenghui biota,suggesting that its appearance postdated that of the Lantian and Weng'an biotas,but preceded that of the Miaohe *** newly obtained age proxies offer an independent test of previous isotopic estimates for the age of the Wenghui biota,providing new chronostratigraphic evidence to map the succession of Ediacaran fossil assemblages on the Yangtze Platform during the Doushantuo *** data suggest that the Lantian,Weng'an,Wenghui,and Miaohe biotas may record a sequence of biotic assemblages attesting to successive phases in the radiation of Ediacaran macroscopic organisms,particularly macroalgae.

Enantioselective synthesis of indenols via rhodium(III)-catalyze C–H activation/annulation of ketones with alkynes

Molecular chirality is a cornerstone of modern chemistry and it has a profound impact on biological activity, chemical reactivity and physical property. Developing asymmetric synthesis methods to efficiently and precisely produce chiral molecules remains a challenging issue in organic chemistry. In recent years, transition-metal-catalyzed enantioselective C–H activation has emerged as an efficient strategy for the rapid access to valuable chiral compounds from readily available feedstocks in an atom-and step-economic manner. Here we report a rhodium(III)-catalyzed C–H activation/annulation of ketones with alkynes. This method features mild conditions, wide substrate scope, and perfect atom economy, affording a series of chiral tertiary indenols in excellent yields and enantioselectivity(up to 98% yield and 99% ee). Combined experimental and computational studies revealed the turnover-limiting step of the reaction and the origins of enantioselectivity and regioselectivity.

目的:探究EX-PRESS青光眼引流器植入术及小梁消融术对原发性开角型青光眼(POAG)合并白内障患者视力、眼压、中央前房深度(ACD)及术后并发症的影响。方法:回顾性分析2015-03/2017-01我院64例64眼POAG合并白内障患者的临床资料,其中34例34眼行EX-PRESS青光眼引流器植入联合白内障超声乳化术(A组), 30例30眼行小梁消融联合白内障超声乳化术(B组)。比较两组术前及术后5mo时最佳矫正视力(best corrected visual acuity,BCVA)、眼压、ACD、黄斑区神经节细胞复合体(GCC)厚度差异,并记录两组术后并发症发生情况差异。结果:术后5mo时,两组BCVA、眼压均较术前降低,差异亦有统计学意义(tA组=39. 359、21. 045,tB组=23. 126、16. 863,均P0.05);术后5mo时,A组黄斑区GCC厚度与术前比较差异无统计学意义(P>0.05),但B组黄斑区GCC厚度则较术前降低,差异有统计学意义(t=3.851,P<0.05),且低于A组,差异具有统计学意义(t=2.269,P<0.05)。A组术后并发症发生率明显较B组低,差异具有统计学意义(χ2=7.883,P<0.05)。结论:EX-PRESS青光眼引流器植入术及小梁消融术联合白内障超声乳化术对POAG合并白内障患者治疗效果均较好,但前者降眼压与提高视力效果优于后者,且EXPRESS青光眼引流器植入术能减少术后并发症发生率,减轻视网膜神经节细胞(RGCs)损害,对患者病情转归有利。

A comparison of the proto-dolomite induced by cyanobacteria and halophilic bacteria:implications for dolomite-inducing microbe identification

This study investigates the morphological and mineralogical characteristics of proto-dolomite induced by two specific microorganisms with varying lifestyles:the extremely halophilic bacterium Vibrio harveyi QPL2 and the cyanobacterium Leptolyngbya boryana. Halophilic bacterially-induced proto-dolomite(HBD) and cyanobacterially-induced proto-dolomite (CBD) were subjected to comprehensive characterization techniques, including X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, Focused Ion Beam, thermogravimetric analysis, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The results indicate that both HBD and CBD exhibit a low degree of crystallinity and possess comparable molar ratios of MgCO3to CaCO3. Moreover, neither of them exhibits the ordered structure of ideal dolomite. HBD and CBD exhibit notable distinctions in external morphology and internal structure. HBD forms a subunit aggregate with a less dense surface and numerous pinhole structures resulting from bacterial survival. In contrast, CBD adopts a bispherical shape with a relatively dense surface and minimal indications of cyanobacterial survival. Both HBD and CBD have an internal hollow structure. However, HBD is characterized by sparse population and loosely arranged subunits, while CBD features only a central cavity. Additionally, HBD particles are smaller compared to CBD particles. These morphological differences suggest that HBD primarily grows through bacterial surface-dependent processes,whereas the growth of CBD is not directly reliant on the surface of cyanobacteria. Compositionally, the weightpercentage of crystalline water in CBD exceeded that of HBD with a value of 29.42%compared to 5.9%. This increase in internal crystalline water enables a faster conversion of CBD to the ordered ideal dolomite in a specific diagenetic environment. This study implies that the morphology and composition of microbial protodolomite may aid in identifying the type of dolomite-inducing microbes.

Study of charmonium(-like)mesons under a diabatic approach

In this work,we study the charmonium(-like)spectrum below 4.1 GeV using the diabatic approach,which offers a unified description of conventional and unconventional heavy meson *** to previous studies,we consider a more realistic cc potential by including the spin-dependent interactions,which allows us to obtain more states and insights into the charmonium *** on our calculation,we obtain the masses of the charmonium spectrum,which align well with experimental *** also present the probabilities of finding various components,i.e.,cc or meson-meson pairs,in these *** results support the arguments that X_(c1)(3872),Ψ(4040),and X_(c2)(3930)have significant molecular *** addition,our calculations show that X_(c0)(3860)and Ψ(3770)can be considered as candidates for the charmonium states X_(c0)(2P)and Ψ(1D),respectively.
