Effect of cerium on microstructure,texture and properties of ultrahigh-purity copper

The effects of Ce addition(310 ppm and 1500 ppm)on the microstructure,texture and properties of ultrahigh-purity copper(99.99999%)were systematically studied using scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD)analyses,combined with the microhardness and conductivity tests.Regarding the microstructure of the as-cast and as-extruded samples,the addition of Ce refines the grain size of the ultrahigh-purity copper and the refinement effect of 310Ce alloy is greater than that of 1500Ce alloy.This is due to the stronger compone nt supercooling and the accele rated recrystallization caused by lower Ce co ntent.In addition,Ce can react with Cu to form the Cu-Ce eutectic phases,which are deformable during the hot deformation.Furthermore,the added Ce can weaken the texture,showing a variation of brass recrystallization(BR),rotated cube,copper and S texture components,which depends on the recrystallization,the particle stimulated nucleation(PSN)as well as the stacking fault energy(SFE).Most remarkably,the introduction of Ce enhances the hardness of the ultrahigh-purity copper without obviously reducing its conductivity.The major{111}orientations and the stress distributions are responsible for such a superior conductivity of the Ce-containing alloys.

A novel prognostic gene signature,nomogram and immune landscape based on tanshinone IIA drug targets for hepatocellular carcinoma:Comprehensive bioinformatics analysis and in vitro experiments

Tanshinone IIA,one of the main ingredients of Danshen,is used to treat hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).However,potential targets of the molecule in the therapy of HCC are unknown.Methods:In this study,we collected the tanshinone IIA targets from public databases for investigation.We screened differentially expressed genes(DEGs)across HCC and normal tissues using mRNA expression profiles from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA).Univariate Cox regression analysis and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)Cox regression models were used to identify and construct the prognostic gene signature.Results:Finally,we discovered common genes across tanshinone IIA targets and HCC DEGs.We reported Fatty acid binding protein-6(FABP6),Polo-like Kinase 1(PLK1),deoxythymidylate kinase(DTYMK),Uridine Cytidine Kinase 2(UCK2),Enhancer of Zeste Homolog 2(EZH2),and Cytochrome P4502C9(CYP2C9)as components of a gene signature.The six-gene signature’s prognostic ability was evaluated using the Kaplan-Meier curve,time-dependent receiver operating characteristic(ROC),multivariate Cox regression analysis,and the nomogram.The mRNA level and protein expression of UCK2 were experimentally validated after treatment with different concentrations of tanshinone IIA in HEPG2 cells.CIBERSORTx,TIMER2.0,and GEPIA2 tools were employed to explore the relationship between the prognostic signature and immune cell infiltration.Conclusion:We established a six-gene signature as a reliable model with significant therapeutic possibility for prognosis and overall survival estimation in HCC patients,which might also benefit medical decision-making for appropriate treatment.

The Wnt/β-catenin pathway comprises a family of proteins that play critical roles in embryonic development and adult tissue homeostasis.The deregulation of Wnt/β-catenin signalling often leads to various serious diseases,including cancer and non-cancer diseases.Although many articles have reviewed Wnt/β-catenin from various aspects,a systematic review encompassing the origin,composition,function,and clinical trials of the Wnt/β-catenin signalling pathway in tumour and diseases is lacking.In this article,we comprehensively review the Wnt/β-catenin pathway from the above five aspects in combination with the latest research.Finally,we propose challenges and opportunities for the development of small-molecular compounds targeting the Wnt signalling pathway in disease treatment.

基于HL-2A装置上比压诱导的阿尔芬本征模(BAE)的实验观测结果,应用本征值程序GAM-solver,对BAE进行了模拟研究。模拟结果表明,BAE的频率大约在50~70kHz范围,且频率随环向模数的增加而增加,这些模拟结果和实验观测一致。同时,应用GAM-solver对环向模数n=3的BAE的模频率进行了预测,研究了主要等离子体参数,比如离子比压(βi)、电子温度(T_(e))以及离子温度(T_(i))对BAE模频率的影响。结果表明,BAE模频率同βi的平方根成正比;T_(e)和T_(i)的增大都会使BAE连续谱的积累点频率增大,连续谱的结构和BAE模的结构几乎不随T_(e)和T_(i)发生变化,而模频率随T_(e)和T_(i)的升高而升高,且与BAE的积累点频率一致,T_(i)的变化对BAE频率影响更大。

BACKGROUND The bacterium Eikenella,classified as a gram-negative member of the phylum Proteobacteria,is distinguished by its rarity,corrosive nature,facultative anaerobic properties,and conditional pathogenicity.It represents the sole species within its genus-Eikenella corrodens(E.corrodens)-and can be found colonizing both human and animal oral and nasopharyngeal regions.Additionally,it occasionally inhabits the gastrointestinal or urogenital tracts.However,its slow growth rate can be attributed to its high nutritional requirements.However,there is an uneven distribution of construction and diagnostic capacity in China which poses undeniable challenges for the clinical examination and analysis of this case,especially in the basic hospitals.CASE SUMMARY Here we presented a case of empyema associated with E.corrodens infection in a 67-year-old male patient without any previous history of infectious diseases in our primary hospital in Dongguan district of China.The patient was admitted due to recurrent worsening cough,sputum production,and dyspnea for 3 d,which had persisted for over 20 years.Moreover,the patient experienced a onehour episode of unconsciousness.Upon admission,immediate comprehensive examinations were conducted on the patient which subsequently led to his admission to the intensive care unit.Meanwhile,the patient presented with drowsiness and profuse sweating along with bilateral conjunctival edema observed during initiation of non-invasive ventilation,suggesting empyema.A significant amount of coffee-colored malodorous pleural fluid was drained during the procedure above and sent to the laboratory department for inspection.Finally,laboratory culture results confirmed the presence of E.corrodens infection in the pleural fluid sample.The patient received antimicrobial therapy until died on day 22 in the hospital.CONCLUSION In this report,we presented a case of empyema associated with E.corrodens infection.Multiple courses of morphological examination,viable culture analysis,and biochemical identifica

Downregulation of MEIS1 mediated by ELFN1-AS1/EZH2/DNMT3a axis promotes tumorigenesis and oxaliplatin resistance in colorectal cancer

Oxaliplatin is widely used in the frontline treatment of colorectal cancer(CRC),but an estimated 50%of patients will eventually stop responding to treatment due to acquired resistance.This study revealed that diminished MEIS1 expression was detected in CRC and harmed the survival of CRC patients.MEIS1 impaired CRC cell viabilities and tumor growth in mice and enhanced CRC cell sensitivity to oxaliplatin by preventing DNA damage repair.Mechanistically,oxaliplatin resistance following MEIS1 suppression was critically dependent on enhanced FEN1 expression.Subsequently,we confirmed that EZH2-DNMT3a was assisted by lncRNA ELFN1-AS1 in locating the promoter of MEIS1 to suppress MEIS1 transcription epigenetically.Based on the above,therapeutics targeting the role of MEIS1 in oxaliplatin resistance were developed and our results suggested that the combination of oxaliplatin with either ELFN1-AS1 ASO or EZH2 inhibitor GSK126 could largely suppress tumor growth and reverse oxaliplatin resistance.This study highlights the potential of therapeutics targeting ELFN1-AS1 and EZH2 in cell survival and oxaliplatin resistance,based on their controlling of MEIS1 expression,which deserve further verification as a prospective therapeutic strategy.

流要素不仅是乡村脆弱性时空分化和重组的重要力量,也愈发成为研究都市城郊乡村重构的重要视角。论文通过构建“敏感性—适应能力”的社会—生态系统脆弱性评价指标体系,采用序排列多边形面积法、时空探索分析、固定效应空间误差模型等方法分析了1998—2018年上海市青浦区184个行政村的脆弱性时空演变特征及人口流、资金流、商贸流的流量度和流向度对脆弱性的影响。结果表明:(1)青浦区社会—生态系统脆弱性指数由0.521增长至0.622,脆弱性等级由中低等脆弱提升至中等脆弱;时空格局呈“先增后降波动式”和“东高西低团聚式”的动态特征。(2)青浦区社会—生态系统脆弱性时间路径移动相对长度由“中部区域向四周逐渐递减”,脆弱性时间路径移动弯曲度较小且呈现“南北部高、中部低”的空间格局;脆弱性时空跃迁的流动指数为0.509,空间集聚结构存在相对较高的转移活性。(3)人口流是提升脆弱性的主导因素,其影响系数为0.022,而资金流和商贸流成为降低脆弱性的关键;流要素的流出度对脆弱性的影响总体上高于流入度,人口流出度对脆弱性增长最显著,影响系数为0.018,而资金流入度的降低脆弱性能力最显著,影响系数为-0.009;“敏感性协同—适应能力权衡”是影响青浦区脆弱性的主导模式;流要素对经济敏感性和经济适应能力的影响更为显著。

Improving students’programming quality with the continuous inspection process:a social coding perspective

College students majoring in computer science and software engineering need to master skills for high-quality programming.However,rich research has shown that both the teaching and learning of high-quality programming are challenging and deficient in most college education systems.Recently,the continuous inspection paradigm has been widely used by developers on social coding sites(e.g.,GitHub)as an important method to ensure the internal quality of massive code contributions.This paper presents a case where continuous inspection is introduced into the classroom setting to improve students’programming quality.In the study,we first designed a specific continuous inspection process for students’collaborative projects and built an execution environment for the process.We then conducted a controlled experiment with 48 students from the same course during two school years to evaluate how the process affects their programming quality.Our results show that continuous inspection can help students in identifying their bad coding habits,mastering a set of good coding rules and significantly reducing the density of code quality issues introduced in the code.Furthermore,we describe the lessons learned during the study and propose ideas to replicate and improve the process and its execution platform.
