OBJECTIVE Prostate cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers *** therapies for metastatic prostate cancer are only marginally effective,and hence novel treatment modalities are urgently *** evidence suggests that chronic inflammation plays a pivotal role in the development and progression of prostate *** agents that can suppress these inflammatory mediators could form the basis of novel therapy for prostate cancer *** our study,we focused on analyzing the potential anticancer effects of nimbolide,a terpenoid lactone derived from Azadirachta indica(Neem tree)against prostate *** Molecular biology techniques such as western blot analysis,DNA binding,luciferase assays,and immunohistochemistry were used for both in vitro and in vivo *** Data from the in vitrostudies indicated that nimbolide could inhibit cell proliferation,induce apoptosis and suppress cellular invasion and ***,nimbolide also abrogated the activation of pro-inflammatory STAT 3 transcription factor,and this effect was found to be mediated via an increased production of reactive oxygen species(ROS),whereas depletion of ROS attenuated pSTAT 3 inhibitory effects of the *** in vivo efficacy of nimbolide was also noted in transgenic adenocarcinoma of mouse prostate(TRAMP)model,in which this triterpenoid significantly suppressed the tumor progression and growth without exhibiting any substantial adverse *** Overall our findings indicate that nimbolide exhibits significant anticancer effects in prostate cancer,and these effects may be mediated at least in part through the modulation of STAT 3 signaling pathway.

The major function of this proposed research is to control the speed of the brushless DC motor with sensor less control for four-switch three phase inverter. This proposed system is simplified the topological structure of the conventional six-switch three phase inverter. In this proposed method, a new structure of four-switch three phase inverter [1] with reduced number of switches for system is introduced to reduce the mechanical commutation, switching losses that occur in the six-switch method. The proposed inverter fed brushless DC motor used in sensorless control schemes which is used for sensing positioning signals. To improve sensor less control performance, four-switch electronic commutation modes based proportional intergral controller scheme is implemented. In this four-switch three phase inverter reduction of switches, low cost control and saving of hall sensor were incorporated. The feasibility of the proposed sensor less control four-switch three phase inverter fed brushless DC motor drive is implemented, analysed using MATLAB/SIMULINK, effective simulation results have been validated out successfully.

There are different types of Cyber Security Attacks that are based on ICMP protocols. Many ICMP protocols are very similar, which may lead security managers to think they may have same impact on victim computer systems or servers. In this paper, we investigate impact of different ICMP based security attacks on two popular server systems namely Microsoft’s Windows Server and Apple’s Mac Server OS running on same hardware platform, and compare their performance under different types of ICMP based security attacks.

Maillard Reaction Products (MRP) was prepared from glucose and glysine heated at 90°C in air circulating oven for 12 hours. The effect of MRP on chlorophyll stability in green peas was investigated. The addition of Maillard Reaction Products (MRP) decreased the loss of chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and total chlorophyll. The conversion of pheophytin and pyropheophytin were also reduced by the addition of MRP.

This paper deals with the technology of using comb filters for FIR Decimation in Digital Signal Processing. The process of decreasing the sampling frequency of a sampled signal is called decimation. In the usage of decimating filters, only a portion of the out-of-pass band frequencies turns into the pass band, in systems wherein different parts operate at different sample rates. A filter design, tuned to the aliasing frequencies all of which can otherwise steal into the pass band, not only provides multiple stop bands but also exhibits computational efficiency and performance superiority over the single stop band design. These filters are referred to as multiband designs in the family of FIR filters. The other two special versions of FIR filter designs are Halfband and Comb filter designs, both of which are particularly useful for reducing the computational requirements in multirate designs. The proposed method of using Comb FIR decimation procedure is not only efficient but also opens up a new vista of simplicity and elegancy to compute Multiplications per Second (MPS) and Additions per Second (APS) for the desired filter over and above the half band designs.

There are so many existing methods to obtain system reliability like re-generating point function technique, supplementary variables technique etc., but all these techniques are full of complicated calculations. Keeping above these facts in mind, the authors in this paper have evaluated some reliability parameters for tele-communication system by using Boolean functions technique and algebraic method. Reliability of considered tele-communication system has been evaluated by considering the fact that failures follow arbitrary time distribution. In particular, the reliability expression has also been calculated for Exponential and Weibull distributions. Further, an important reliability parameter namely M.T.T.F. (mean time to failure) has also been calculated. A numerical example with graphical illustrations has been appended at the end to highlight the important results and practical utility of the model.

Magnetically impelled arc butt(MIAB) welding is a pressure welding process used for joining of pipes and tubes with an external magnetic field affecting arc rotation along the tube circumference. In this work, MIAB welding of low alloy steel(T11) tubes were carried out to study the microstructural changes occurring in thermo-mechanically affected zone(TMAZ). To qualify the process for the welding applications where pressure could be up to 300 bar, the MIAB welds are studied with variations of arc current and arc rotation time. It is found that TMAZ shows higher hardness than that in base metal and displays higher weld tensile strength and ductility due to bainitic transformation. The effect of arc current on the weld interface is also detailed and is found to be defect free at higher values of arc currents. The results reveal that MIAB welded samples exhibits good structural property correlation for high pressure applications with an added benefit of enhanced productivity at lower *** study will enable the use of MIAB welding for high pressure applications in power and defence sectors.
