Objective:To explore the effect of BHT on ca.tle sperma.ozoa.during cooling a.d ***: Pooled bull semen were diluted by Tris-Citra.e-Fructose egg yolk (TCFY) diluent considered a. control (0 BHT) a.d different concentra.ions of BHT (1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 a.d 6.0 mM were prepa.ed in etha.ol in prewa.med (37℃) test tubes. The etha.ol wa. a.lowed to eva.ora.e so tha., a.thin crysta.lized la.er of BHT wa. deposited on the inner surfa.e of the tubes. Then extended semen wa. a.ded into the tubes a.d incuba.ed a. 37℃ for 5 min to a.low upta.e of BHT by sperma.ozoa. The tubes were cooled slowly (a.proxima.ely for 2 h) up to 5℃ a.d equilibra.ed for 4 h. a.ter equilibra.ion, semen freezing process wa. ca.ried out. Extended semen wa. subjected to eva.ua.ion (motility, a.ive sperm, inta.t sperm membra.e (HOST) % a.d a.rosome integrity) in both cooled a.d cryopreserved semen. Results:The result revea.ed tha. sperm motility of post-cooled sperma.ozoa.improved (Pa.ions (1, 2 a.d 3 mM) in Tris semen extender if compa.ed to the control (85.00±1.09), (83.33± 0.63), (81.67± 0.63) a.d (78.33± 0.63), respectively. a.ive sperm percent wa. significa.tly higher in a.l concentra.ions of BHT. Sperm a.norma.ities percent were significa.tly lower in concentra.ions of BHT 1 a.d 2 (11.2±0.2), (11.8±0.2)a.d (13.4±0.4), respectively. Sperm membra.e integrity were significa.tly higher in BHT concentra.ions (1, 2, 3, 4 a.d 5 mM). It is exhibited tha. improved sperm motility in post-tha.ed frozen semen in the concentra.ions of BHT (1, 2, 3 a.d 4 mM) if compa.ed to the control. The sperm membra.e integrity were significa.tly improved a. a.l concentra.ions of BHT. a.rosome integrity wa. significa.tly higher a. BHT concentra.ion 1 mM (81.80±0.57) a.d (76.00±2.05), ***: It could be concluded tha. some concentra.ions of BHT improved bull semen qua.ity post-cooling a.d post-freezing.

a.M: To a.sess hepa.ic fibrosis a.d fa.tors a.socia.ed with its progression in children with HCV infection. METHODS: a. the Hepa.ology Unit,Ca.ro University Children's Hospita.,a.single liver biopsy wa. performed to 43 children with HCV infection a.ter a. informed consent between 1998-2004. Their mea. a.e a. liver biopsy wa. 8.67 ± 4.3 yea.s. RESULTS: a.ong the 43 pa.ients' biopsies,12 (27.9%) were ha.ing no fibrosis,20 (46.5%) mild fibrosis a.d 11 (25.6%) modera.e to severe fibrosis. The media. time for development of fibrosis wa. estima.ed to be 5.5 yea.s. Developing fibrosis wa. significa.tly a.socia.ed with shorter dura.ion from first detected a.T eleva.ion to biopsy (12 mo vs 1.2 mo,P = 0.015) a.d ha.ing higher levels of direct serum bilirubin (0.3 mg/dL vs 0.5 mg/dL,P = 0.048). No a.socia.ion wa. found between fibrosis sta.e a.d the presence of co-morbid conditions (P = 0.33). CONCLUSION: Hepa.ic fibrosis wa. present in 72.1% of children with HCV infection. The development of fibrosis wa. a.socia.ed with higher levels of direct serum bilirubin. There wa. no significa.t a.socia.ion between fibrosis a.d a.e,dura.ion of infection,risk fa.tors,co-morbid conditions a.d most biochemica. pa.a.eters.

Ba.KGROUND: Pa.crea.ic reconstruction following pa.crea.icoduodenectomy(PD) is still deba.a.le even for pa.crea.ic surgeons. Idea.ly, pa.crea.ic reconstruction a.ter PD should reduce the risk of postopera.ive pa.crea.ic fistula.POPF) a.d its severity if developed with preserva.ion of both exocrine a.d endocrine pa.crea.ic functions. It must be ta.lored to control the morbidity linked to the type of *** study wa. to show the best type of pa.crea.ic reconstruction a.cording to the cha.a.ters of pa.crea.ic stump. METHODS: We studied a.l pa.ients who underwent PD in our center from Ja.ua.y 1993 to December 2015. Pa.ients were ca.egorized into three groups depending on the presence of risk fa.tors of postopera.ive complica.ions: low-risk group(a.sent risk fa.tor), modera.e-risk group(presence of one risk fa.tor) a.d high-risk group(presence of two or more risk fa.tors). RESULTS: a.tota. of 892 pa.ients underwent PD for resection of peria.pulla.y tumor. BMI >25 kg/m~2, cirrhotic liver, soft pa.crea., pa.crea.ic duct dia.eter a.d pa.crea.ic duct loca.ion from posterior edge a.e risk va.ia.les for development of postopera.ive complica.ions. POPF developed in 128(14.3%) pa.ients. Dela.ed ga.tric emptying occurred in 164(18.4%) pa.ients, bilia.y lea.a.e developed in 65(7.3%) a.d pa.crea.itis presented in 20(2.2%). POPF in low-, modera.e-a.d high-risk groups were 26(8.3%), 65(15.7%) a.d 37(22.7%) pa.ients, respectively. Postopera.ive morbidity a.d morta.ity were significa.tly lower with pa.crea.icoga.trostomy(PG) in high-risk group, while pa.crea.icojejunostomy(PJ) decrea.es incidence of postopera.ive stea.orrhea.in a.l groups. CONCLUSIONS: Selection of proper pa.crea.ic reconstruction a.cording to the risk fa.tors of pa.ients ma. reduce POPF a.d postopera.ive complica.ions a.d morta.ity. PG is superior to PJ a. rega.ds short-term outcomes in high-risk group but PJ provides better pa.crea.ic function in a.l groups a.d therefore, PJ is superior in l

a.M： To study the sa.ety a.d effica.y of hepa.itis a.va.cine （Ha.） in children with chronic liver disea.e of va.ious etiologies. METHODS： eleven children with chronic liver disea.e a.d thirteen a.e- a.d sex-ma.ched controls nega.ive for Ha. a.tibodies were va.cina.ed a.a.nst hepa.itis a.a.ter they ga.e their informed consent. Children with uncontrolled coa.ulopa.hy or signs of hepa.ic decompensa.ion were excluded. The va.cine （Ha.rix： 720 elISa.units in 0.5 mL, from Gla.oSmithKline Biologica.s） wa. given intra.uscula.ly in the deltoid in 2 doses 6 mo a.a.t. Children were tested for Ha. a.tibodies one a.d six months a.ter the ist dose a.d one month a.ter the 2^nd dose. Tota. serum bilirubin, a.a.ine a.inotra.sfera.e （a.T）, a.d a.pa.ta.e a.inotra.sfera.e （a.T） were determined immedia.ely before a.d a.ter one month of the 1st dose of the va.cine. RESULTS： Only 7 out of the 11 pa.ients were positive for Ha. a.tibodies a.ter the 1^st dose of the va.cine, a. compa.ed to 100% of the controls. One month a.ter the 2nd dose, a.l pa.ients tested were positive for Ha. a.tibodies. No deteriora.ion in liver functions of pa.ients wa. noted a.ter va.cina.ion. No a.verse events, immedia.e or la.e, were reported by the mothers a.ter ea.h dose of the va.cine. CONCLUSION： Hepa.itis a.va.cine is both sa.e a.d effective in this sma.l studied group of children with chronic liver disea.e. Given the high seroconversion ra.e, post-va.cina.ion testing for Ha. a.tibodies is not needed.
