Studyin. the in.er structure of in.raplate earthquakes origin.tin. in.aseismic areas， which are poorly covered by seismic n.tworks or as historical earthquakes is usually the on.y way to get kn.wledge about their source mechan.sms that is partially importan. to deeper un.erstan. in.raplate geodyn.mics. The epicen.ral zon.s of earthquakes are situated in.hard-to-reach areas， so， usin. active seismic methods for such purposes is un.eason.ble or even.impossible because of high cost an. logistical difficulties. We are presen.in. a way to join.usin. differen. passive seismic methods， which allows us to get sufficien. in.ormation.about geological en.iron.en. structure for such task solution.. As an.example， we in.estigated the in.er structure of platform earthquake epicen.ral zon. origin.ted up n.rth of Russia. We used four passive seismic methods: microseismic soun.in. method， passive seismic in.erferometry， HVSR method， an. microseismic activity method. We show that passive seismic data， recoded in.the same in.tallation.an. processed by these differen. methods， can.provide sufficien. in.ormation.about structure of studied en.iron.en.， n.eded to explain.source mechan.sm. In.sum， the hypocen.er zon. is presen.ed by in.ersection.of vertical faults an. a lateral fractured zon. in.the middle crust. Results were con.irmed by comparison.with results by active seismic methods.

Some of the modern.electron.c an. optoelectron.c devices exploit ferrofluids con.ain.d in.n.rrow gaps between.two material plates. When.the width of the gap becomes below a micrometer, the boun.ary plates are subjected to the Casimir force arisin. from the zero-poin. an. thermal fluctuation. of the electromagn.tic field. These forces should be taken.in.o accoun. in.microdevices with the dimen.ion. decreased to below a micrometer. In.this paper, we review recen.ly performed calculation. of the attractive Casimir pressure in.three-layer systems con.ain.n. a ferrofluid. We also fin. the ferrofluidic system where the Casimir pressure is repulsive. This result is obtain.d in.the framework of the fun.amen.al Lifshitz theory of van.der Waals an. Casimir forces. The con.lusion.is made that en.an.ed repulsion.due to the presen.e of a ferrofluid may preven. from stickin. of closely spaced elemen.s of a microdevice.

In.boreal forest moun.ain. of Siberia there are four systems of alpin. vegetation.in.ludin. alpin.-meadow, goltsy-tun.ra, islan. n.ar the Pacific Ocean.an. tun.ra-steppe on.s. Every system is represen.ed by several geographical varian.s, characterized by region.l phytogeographical peculiar features of this vegetation. The geographical varian. in.ludes a n.mber of altitudin.l belts （zon.s）, each of them has its floristic peculiarities an. complexes of plan. formation. （for in.tan.e, Altai-Sayan.varian. composes of subalpin.-alpin.-subn.val-n.val belts）. Such geographical varian.s of alpin. vegetation.may be in.icated as chorological un.ts on.a n.w Circum-Boreal Vegetation.Map. Un.er discussion.is the possible use of ecological-geographical approach to reflect the alpin. vegetation.as chorological （structural） un.ts of the vegetation.cover bein. exemplified by high moun.ain. of the Siberia. Emergin. aquatic in.ects, in.ludin. mosquitoes, are kn.wn.to tran.fer to terrestrial ecosystems specific essen.ial biochemicals, such as polyun.aturated fatty acids （PUFA）. We studied fatty acid （FA） composition.an. con.en.s of domin.n. mosquito population. （Diptera： Culicidae）, that is, An.pheles messeae, Ochlerotatus caspius, Oc. flavescen., Oc. euedes, Oc. subdiversus, Oc. cataphylla, an. Aedes cin.reus, in.abited a steppe wetlan. of a temperate climate zon. to fill up the gap in.their lipid kn.wledge. The polar lipid an. triacylglycerol fraction. of larvae an. adults were compared. In.most studied mosquito species, we first foun. an. iden.ified a n.mber of short-chain.PUFA, for example, promin.n. 14：2n.6 an. 14：3n.3, which were n.t earlier documen.ed in.livin. organ.sms. These PUFA, although occurred in.low levels in.adult mosquitoes, can.be poten.ially used as markers of mosquito biomass in.terrestrial food webs. We hypothesize that these acids might be syn.hesized （or retrocon.erted） by the mosquitoes. Usin. FA trophic markers accumulated in.triacylglycerols, trophic relation. of the mosquitoes were accessed. The larval diet comprised green.algae, cryptophytes, an. din.flagellates an. provided the mosquitoes with essen.ial n.3 PUFA, lin.len.c, an. eicosapen.aen.ic acids. As a result, both larvae an. adults of the studied mosquitoes had comparatively high con.en. of the essen.ial PUFA. Comparison.of FA proportion. in.polar lipids versus storage lipids shown.that durin. mosquito metamorphosis tran.fer of essen.ial eicosapen.aen.ic an. arachidon.c acids from the reserve in.storage lipids of larvae to fun.tion.l polar lipids in.adults occurred.
