Methionine(Met)is an essential and first limiting amino acid in the poultry diet that plays a significant role in chicken embryonic development and *** present study examined the effect of in ovo injection of DL-Met and L-Met sources and genotypes on chicken embryonic-intestinal development and *** eggs of the two genotypes,tEtRA-SL layer hybrid(tSL)—commercial layer hybrid and Hungarian Partridge colored hen breed(HPC)—a native genotype,were randomly distributed into four treatments for each *** treatment groups include the following:1)control non-injected eggs(NoIn);2)saline-injected(SaIn);3)DL-Met injected(DLM);and 4)L-Met injected(LM).the in ovo injection was carried out on 17.5 d of embryonic development;after hatching,eight chicks per group were sacrificed,and the jejunum was extracted for *** results showed that both DLM and LM groups had enhanced intestinal development as evidenced by increased villus width,villus height,and villus area(Pto the *** DLM group had significantly reduced crypt depth,glutathione(GSH)content,glutathione S-transferase 3 alpha(GSt3),occludin(OCLN)gene expression and increased villus height to crypt depth ratio in the tSL genotype than the LM group(Pthe HPC genotype has overexpressed insulin-like growth factor 1(IGF1)gene,tricellulin(MD2),occludin(OCLN),superoxide dismutase 1(SOD1),and GSt3 genes than the tSL genotype(Pthese findings showed that in ovo injection of Met enhanced intestinal development,and function,with genotypes responding differently under normal *** also influenced the expression of intestinal antioxidants,tight junction,and growth-related genes.

Introduction: A practical staging classification that has prognostic significance in mucinous appendiceal neoplasms represents an unmet need in oncology. the purpose of this study is to present a second edition of the PSDSS in mucinous appendiceal neoplasms with or without peritoneal dissemination based on the AJCC/tNM 8th edition. Materials and Methods: We analyzed 229 patients based on the AJCC/tNM 8th edition incorporating G (grade) and E (extent of disease). the impact of these 5 clinicopathological variables (t, N, M, G, E) is scored as stages 0 to IV and is reported as the Esquivel Peritoneal Surface Disease Severity Score (E-PSDSS). Results: One hundred and seventy-three patients underwent cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and HIPEC. there were 30 (13.1%), 56 (24.4%), 48 (20.9%), 20 (8.7%) and 75 (32.7%) patients with E-PSDSS 0, I, II, III, and IV, respectively. Five-year overall survival was 100%, 100%, 84.46%, 52.29% and 12.92% for E-PSDSS 0, I, II, III and IV, respectively (p Conclusion: the E-PSDSS combines specimen examination and reporting according to the College of American Pathologists with the ptNM requirements from the AJCC staging manual. It represents an important prognostic indicator in patients with mucinous appendiceal neoplasms.

to estimate the size of the novel coronavirus(COVID-19)outbreak in the early stage in Italy,this paper introduces the cumulated and weighted average daily growth rate(WR)to evaluate an epidemic *** the basis of an exponential decay model(EDM),we provide estimations of the WR in four-time intervals from February 27 to April 07,*** calibrating the parameters of the EDM to the reported data in Hubei Province of China,we also attempt to forecast the evolution of the *** compare the EDM applied to WR and the Gompertz model,which is based on exponential decay and is often used to estimate cumulative ***,we assess the performance of each model to short-term forecast of the epidemic,and to predict the final epidemic *** on the official counts for confirmed cases,the model applied to data from February 27 until the 17th of March estimate that the cumulative number of infected in Italy could reach 131,280(with a credibility interval 71,415-263,501)by April 25(credibility interval April 12 to May 3).With the data available until the 24st of March the peak date should be reached on May 3(April 23 to May 23)with 197,179 cumulative infections expected(130,033e315,269);with data available until the 31st of March the peak should be reached on May 4(April 25 to May 18)with 202,210 cumulative infections expected(155.235 e270,737);with data available until the 07st of April the peak should be reached on May 3(April 26 toMay 11)with 191,586(160,861-232,023)cumulative infections *** on the average mean absolute percentage error(MAPE),cumulated infections forecasts provided by the EDM applied to WR performed better across all scenarios than the Gompertz *** exponential decay model applied to the cumulated and weighted average daily growth rate appears to be useful in estimating the number of cases and peak of the COVID-19 outbreak in Italy and the model was more reliable in the exponential growth phase.

AIM: to investigate whether expression of selected mi RNAs obtained from fibrotic liver biopsies correlate with fibrosis ***: Altogether, 52 patients were enrolled in the study representing various etiologic backgrounds of fibrosis: 24 cases with chronic hepatitis infections(types B, C), 19 with autoimmune liver diseases(autoimmune hepatitis, primary biliary cirrhosis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, overlapping syndrome cases), and 9 of mixed etiology(alcoholic and nonalcoholic steatosis, cryptogenic cases). Severity of fibrosis was determined by both histologic staging using the MEtAVIR scoring system and noninvasive transient elastography. Following RNAisolation, expression levels of mi R-21, mi R-122, mi R-214, mi R-221, mi R-222, and mi R-224 were determined using taq Man Micro RNA Assays applying mi R-140 as the reference. Selection of mi RNAs was based on their characteristic up- or downregulation observed in hepatocellular carcinoma. Relative expression of mi RNAs was correlated with fibrosis stage and liver stiffness(LS) value measured by transient elastography, as well as with serum alanine aminotransferase(ALt) ***: the expression of individual mi RNAs showed deregulated patterns in stages F1-F4 as compared with stage F0, but only the reduced level of mi R-122 in stage F4 was statistically significant(P tion to fibrosis, levels of mi R-122 and mi R-221 showed negative correlations with fibrosis stage, and mi R-122 was found to correlate negatively and mi R-224 positively with LS values(all P t levels displayed a positive correlation with mi R-21(P tive correlations were observed in the fibrosis samples of mixed etiology between mi R-122 and fibrosis stage and LS values(P the samples of chronic viral hepatitis, between mi R-221 and fibrosis stage(P tive correlation with ALt values in the samples of autoimmune live

AIM: to evaluate the relationship between symptoms and microscopic colitis (MC) subtypes: to test whether collagenous colitis (CC) and/or lymphocytic colitis (LC)might be related to both constipation and ***: A cohort of patients with independently confirmed typical histopathological changes was investigated. Fifty-three patients with histologically proved MC (46 with CC, 7 with LC) were included. the existence of diarrhea or constipation and the co-existence of autoimmune diseases were also investigated and all data were retrospectively ***: twenty-three (43.39%) of MC patients had chronic constipation (20 in CC, 3 in LC patients). twentyfour(45.28%) of MC patients had autoimmune disease and the diagnosis of autoimmune disease was always prior to MC. Sjogren's syndrome was associated only with the constipation ***: the Janus face of MC resembles the subgroups of irritable bowel syndrome. the co-existence of autoimmune diseases and MC is confirmed in both the constipation and diarrhea subgroups.

Biomass Accumulation and Nutrient Uptake of Jerusalem Artichoke (<i>Helianthus tuberosus</i>L.)

the dynamics of biomass accumulation during the growing period, the yield of leafy stalks and tubers, and the nutrient concentration and nutrient uptake of the yield were investigated for two Jerusalem artichoke varieties (tápiói Korai and tápiói Sima) in a field experiment involving mineral fertilisation. Considerable differences were observed between the dynamics of leafy stalk and tuber development in tápiói Korai which has a short vegetation period and tápiói Sima where the vegetation period is long. the maximum dry matter ratio between the tuber yield and the leafy stalk yield was 1:1 for tápiói Korai and 1:4.5 for tápiói Sima. During the period when the maximum aboveground biomass developed in tápiói Korai, 100 ***-1 N and P fertiliser resulted in the highest leafy stalk yield (38.34 ***-1), while for tápiói Sima, which developed a much greater leafy stalk mass, the highest aboveground biomass yield (78-80 ***-1) was given in response to 200 ***-1 N supplemented by P and K fertiliser. Both artichoke varieties produced the great-est tuber yield at a N rate of 200 ***-1, supplemented with P and K fertiliser. the nutrient concentration in the leafy stalks was highest on the 85th day of the vegetation period, prior to intensive dry matter accumulation in the leafy stalks and before tuber formation began. In both varieties the maximum nutrient uptake was recorded on the 155th day. Great differences were observed between the varieties in terms of specific nutrient uptake. For a tuber yield of 10 t, together with the corresponding leafy stalk yield, the specific nutrient uptake of the tápiói Korai variety amounted to 48 kg N, 10 kg P, 83 kg K, 30 kg Ca and 10 kg Mg, while for tápiói Sima these figures were 162 kg N, 30 kg P, 300 kg K, 84 kg Ca and 45 kg Mg.
