One of the most important issues in storage and transport processes is the formation of unit loads. Our main goal is to investigate the homogenization of unit load formation cases. We provide a model involving the major factors and parameters for the optimal selection of the unit load formations. Objective functions and constraints related to the basic tasks are formulated. We give a method for the selection of the optimal unit load formation equipment for a given number of products under given constraints.

Introduction: A practical staging classification that has prognostic significance in mucinous appendiceal neoplasms represents an unmet need in oncology. The purpose of this study is to present a second edition of the PSDSS in mucinous appendiceal neoplasms with or without peritoneal dissemination based on the AJCC/TnM 8th edition. Materials and Methods: We analyzed 229 patients based on the AJCC/TnM 8th edition incorporating G (grade) and E (extent of disease). The impact of these 5 clinicopathological variables (T, n, M, G, E) is scored as stages 0 to IV and is reported as the Esquivel Peritoneal Surface Disease Severity Score (E-PSDSS). Results: One hundred and seventy-three patients underwent cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and HIPEC. There were 30 (13.1%), 56 (24.4%), 48 (20.9%), 20 (8.7%) and 75 (32.7%) patients with E-PSDSS 0, I, II, III, and IV, respectively. Five-year overall survival was 100%, 100%, 84.46%, 52.29% and 12.92% for E-PSDSS 0, I, II, III and IV, respectively (p Conclusion: The E-PSDSS combines specimen examination and reporting according to the College of American Pathologists with the pTnM requirements from the AJCC staging manual. It represents an important prognostic indicator in patients with mucinous appendiceal neoplasms.

The environmental planning and the current policy initiatives in European Union are aimed at continuous improvement of the productive fabric, heading toward a system in which the ＂quality＂ of products will no longer regardless of their environmental impacts. In this context, the methodology of LCA （life cycle assessment） is certainly one of the most innovative methods in the field of environmental protection as it allows evaluating the environmental burdens associated with a product, process or activity by identifying and quantifying material and energy consumption and environmental emissions. The objectives focus on finding the main impacts of the wine life cycle, as well as identifying crucial activities/stages in the wine production which establish the largest impacts. This paper＇s objective is to expose the advantages resulting from the use of the LCA method in the wine production sector, with a specific application to wine production in the Tuscany region.

Liver injury has been reported in coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)cases but the impact of pre-existing liver damage and related etiology have not been completely *** research interests include the potential reciprocal influence of COVID-19 and pre-existing liver damage related to hepatitis C virus(HCV)infection,in *** this end,we have evaluated three cohorts of patients admitted at three Italian hospitals during the coronavirus pandemic;these included 332 patients with COVID-19 and 1527 patients with HCV who were from established real-world antiviral treatment study cohorts(sofosbuvir/velpatasvir),with either liver disease(various severities;n=1319)or cirrhosis(n=208).Among the COVID-19 patients,10 had cirrhosis(3%),including 7 of metabolic origin and 3 of viral *** among the COVID-19 patients was 27.1%,with 70%of those with cirrhosis of metabolic etiology having ***,older age,low white blood cell count and lymphocyte count being identified as risk predictors of death[odds ratio(OR)=13.7,95%confidence interval(CI):2.59-83.01,P=0.006;OR=1.05,95%CI:1.03-1.08,P=0.0001;OR=1.09,95%CI:1.36-1.16,P=0.001;OR=0.61,95%CI:0.39-0.93,P=0.023,respectively].In the two cohorts of HCV patients,COVID-19 diagnosis was made in 0.07%of those with liver disease and 1%of those with ***,the prevalence of HCV antibodies among COVID-19-infected patients was comparable to that currently reported for the general population in *** the COVID-19 patients,pre-existing metabolic cirrhosis appears to be associated with higher mortality,while HCV antibodies may be suggestive of“protection”against COVID-19.

Background: Regular physical activity(PA) has documented effects in prevention and treatment of many non-communicable diseases(nCDs).Physical inactivity is recognized as the fourth leading risk factor for premature death, worldwide. Despite these facts, physical inactivity is increasing,not only in high-income, but also in middle-and low-income countries. To address this negative trend, evidence-based methods to increase PA are needed. The purpose of this paper is to describe the implementation and assessment of 4 strategies designed to increase PA in ***: Four strategies were used: i) introduction and evaluation of an education and training program on the Swedish method of Physical Activity on Prescription(PAP) among health care professionals, ii) translation of the PAP evidence-based handbook, Physical Activity in the Prevention and Treatment of Disease(called FYSS in Swedish) into Vietnamese, iii) launch of a mass-media campaign to promote PA, and iv)advocacy to support development of PA guidelines in ***: The evaluation indicated that the participating health care professionals had a positive attitude to PAP. However, they also reported uncertainty in prescribing PA. FYSS was translated and disseminated successfully to health care professionals. A mass-media campaign identified the beneficial effects of PA to health care professionals, journalists, policy makers, and the public. Last, the process of developing national guidelines on PA was ***: This project led to enhanced awareness and appreciation of PA in the prevention and treatment of nCDs among health care professionals as well as initiation of national PA guidelines. Important lessons also were learned in the presentation of PAP, which will be considered when designing similar projects in the future.

We described the case of a peripancreatic paraganglioma(PGL)misdiagnosed as pancreatic *** exploration revealed an unremarkable pancreas and a large well-defined cystic mass originating at the mesocolon *** enucleation of the mass was performed,preserving the pancreatic ***,a diagnosis of PGL was ***,two previously unreported mutations,one affecting the KDR gene in exon 7 and another on the JAK3 gene in exon 4 were *** mutations are known to be *** and cytologic findings were blindly reviewed by an expert panel of clinicians,radiologists,and pathologists to identify possible causes of the *** major issue was lack of evidence of a cleavage plane from the pancreas at imaging,which prompted radiologists to establish an intraparenchymal *** blinded revision shifted the diagnosis towards an extrapancreatic lesion,as the pancreatic parenchyma showed no structural alterations and no dislocation of the Wirsung *** post,the identified biases were the emergency setting of the radiologic examination and the very thin mesocolon sheet,which hindered clear definition of the lesion *** endoscopic ultrasonography diagnosis was confirmed,emphasizing the intrinsic limit of this technique in detecting large ***,pathologic review favored a diagnosis of PGL due to the morphological features and immonohistochemical *** months after tumor excision,the patient is asymptomatic with no disease relapse evident by either radiology or laboratory *** report strongly highlights the difficulties in rendering an accurate preoperative diagnosis of PGL.

Objective: In vitro cell and blood compatibility of three dietary supplements, comprised of multiple plant extracts, Pneumo Go(PG), Green active(GA) and Equistasi(Eq), and their main component, the phytocomplex Matrix U.B.ò(Union Bio S.r.l.)(M), were evaluated. Moreover, preliminary in vivo tests were performed on GA in order to assess its ability to reduce pain in an animal ***: Cell compatibility was determined using fibroblasts(nIH3T3) and primary adult human microvascular endothelial cells(HMVECad) and the neutral red uptake test. Blood compatibility was evaluated by analyzing blood parameters after incubation of the products with sodium citrate anticoagulated whole blood. Thrombin time was determined by adding thrombin to aliquots of human plasma containing the samples. Clotting time was revealed by an automatic coagulometer. The in vivo analgesic effect of GA was evaluated in Wistar rats using the formalin ***: M and PG reduced the percentage of viable nIH3T3 cells, indicating their interference in the cell cycle. GA and Eq stimulated fibroblast proliferation and neutralized the toxic effect of M. M and PG reduced HMVECad cell viability. GA and Eq did not affect cell viability as well as negative control. The hemocompatibility tests indicated that all the samples did not interfere with fibrinogen. The in vivo test carried out in male rats showed a significant analgesic effect of GA in all formalin-induced pain ***: no hemotoxicity and good cell compatibility were found for all the tested samples. GA and Eq were the best candidates for further biocompatibility testing. Moreover, GA reduced pain in the animal model.
