The objective of.this study was to in.estigate whether treatmen. with Tribulus terrestris(Tt)has an. impact on.the testicular morphology an. f.n.tion.in.a roden. model.Twen.y male rats were divided in.o a con.rol group an. a group receivin. 100 mg kg^(-1) body weight of.Tt supplemen.ation.Af.er 4o days of.experimen.,the an.mals were submitted to euthan.sia;epididymal tail spermatozoa were collected;an. spermatozoa con.en.ration.motility,an. viability were an.lyzed.In.addition.testicles were collected an. processed f.r histomorphometrical an.lyses.data were compared usin. the Studen.'s t-test an. con.idered sign.f.can. when.Pn.en.ration.motility,an. viability showed n. dif.eren.e between.the groups.f.rther,testicular weight an. volume,semin.f.rous tubule diameter,tun.ca propria surf.ce den.ity,semin.f.rous epithelium surf.ce den.ity,an. in.ertubular compartmen. surf.ce den.ity were statistically similar between.the groups.However,semin.f.rous epithelium height an. tubular lumen.surf.ce den.ity were augmen.ed in.an.mals treated with Tt.Treatmen. with Tt does n.t cause a major impact on.testicular morphology,promotin. on.y subtle modif.cation..n. dif.eren.e on.spermatozoa parameters was observed.

In.on.sia is on. of.the largest cocon.t-producin. coun.ries in.the world.The utilization.of.cocon.t shell waste in.o briquettes will in.rease the sellin. value an. become a great export opportun.ty.However,the ef.ect of.adhesives on.the quality of.cocon.t shell charcoal briquettes made usin. screw extruder machin. has n.t been.widely studied.This study aims to determin. the ef.ect of.adhesive type on.the quality of.cocon.t shell charcoal briquettes.The process of.f.bricatin. briquettes in.this study in.luded crushin.,mixin.,blen.in.,pressin.,an. dryin..In.the mixin. process,3 types of.adhesives were used,n.mely tapioca f.our(Briquette_1),cassava f.our(Briquette_2),an. modif.ed cassava f.our(Briquette_3)with a con.en.ration.of.5%of.the weight of.cocon.t shell charcoal powders.The quality of.the resultin. briquettes an. commercial briquettes will be evaluated by moisture con.en.,ash con.en.,volatile matter,f.xed carbon.calorif.c value,den.ity,compressive,an. drop test testin..The results of.this research showed that the type of.adhesive had a sign.f.can. ef.ect on.the quality of.the briquettes produced.Specimen.Briquette_1 had better quality than.commercial briquettes(Briquette_4)an. other briquette specimen..The test results showed that Briquette_1 produced briquettes with better compressive stren.th an. f.iability than.the other specimen.,at 6.95 n.mm^(2) an. 4.44%,respectively.The moisture con.en.,ash con.en.,f.xed carbon.an. calorif.c value of.Briquette_1 have met the requiremen.s set by the In.on.sian.n.tion.l Stan.ard(Sn.)n.mber 01-6235-2000.Mean.hile,the volatile matter con.en. an. den.ity of.Briquette_1 are by the stan.ards of.Japan.an. the Un.ted States America(USA).

BACKGROUn. Hepatocellular carcin.ma(HCC)is an.aggressive malign.n. n.oplasm that requires liver tran.plan.ation.LT).Despite patien.s with HCC bein. prioritized by most organ.allocation.systems worldwide,they still have to wait f.r lon. periods.Locoregion.l therapies(LRTs)are employed as bridgin. therapies in.patien.s with HCC awaitin. LT.Although largely used in.the past,tran.arterial embolization.TAE)has been.replaced by tran.arterial chemoembolization.TACE).However,the superiority of.TACE over TAE has n.t been.con.isten.ly shown.in.the literature.AIM To compare the outcomes of.TACE an. TAE in.patien.s with HCC awaitin. LT.METHODS All con.ecutive patien.s with HCC awaitin. LT between.2011 an. 2020 at a sin.le cen.er were in.luded.All patien.s un.erwen. LRT with either TACE or TAE.Some patien.s also un.erwen. percutan.ous ethan.l in.ection.PEI),con.om-itan.ly or in.dif.eren. treatmen. session..The choice of.LRT f.r each HCC n.dule was determin.d by a multidisciplin.ry con.en.us.The primary outcome was waitlist dropout due to tumor progression.an. the secon.ary outcome was the occurren.e of.adverse even.s.In.the subset of.patien.s who un.erwen. LT,complete pathological respon.e an. post-tran.plan. recurren.e-f.ee survival were also assessed.RESULTS Twelve(18.5%)patien.s in.the TACE group(on.y TACE an. TACE+PEI;n.65)an. 3(7.9%)patien.s in.the TAE group(on.y TAE an. TAE+PEI;n.38)dropped out of.the waitlist due to tumor progression.P log-ran. test=0.29).Adverse even.s occurred in.8(12.3%)an. 2(5.3%)patien.s in.the TACE an. TAE groups,respectively(P=0.316).f.rty-eight(73.8%)of.the 65 patien.s in.the TACE group an. 29(76.3%)of.the 38 patien.s in.the TAE group un.erwen. Jan.ary an. f.bruary of.two con.ecutive summers(2017 an. 2018).We f.un. that pon.s had dif.eren. limn.logical characteristics,due to their location.geomorphological f.atures an. presen.e of.the surroun.in. f.ora an. f.un..Physico-chemical parameters as well as microbial commun.ty dif.ered between.pon.s,mon.hs an. years.In.2017,most pon.s were oligo to mesotrophic states.The larger accumulated rain.0}ll(as a result of.en.iron.en.al chan.es on.the An.arctic Pen.n.ula)durin. 2018,particularly in.f.bruary,causes n.trien. run.f. in.o water bodies.This af.ects those pon.s with the highest seabird circulation.such as gen.oo pen.uin.in.reasin. eutrophication.As a result,picoplan.ton.c abun.an.es were higher,an. the commun.ty structure shif.s to a largely heterotrophic bacteria domin.ted on..These results suggest that these commun.ties could act as sen.in.ls to en.iron.en.al chan.es,an.icipatin. a f.ture with mostly hypertrophic pon.s.
