This study inves.igates.the influence of electropolymerization conditions on the deposition of polypyrrole(PPy)onto cotton-derived carbon fiber(CF)modified with reduced graphene oxide(rGO)for supercapacitors applications us.ng an experimental/theorical *** surface modification of CF by rGO and/or by PPy electrodeposited at 10,25 and 50 mV s^(-1) was thoroughly examined physicochemical and *** electrodes.compris.ng CF-rGo-PPy,synthes.zed via electropolymerization at 25 mV s^(-1),demonstrated a remarkable increase in capacitance,showcas.ng~742 F g^(-1) compared to 153 F g^(-1) for ***,N_(2)-surface area,XPs,and TD-DFT approach revealed that the higher capacitance observed in CF-rGo-PPy electrodes.underscores.the influence of morphology and charged nitrogen species.on the electrochemical performance of thes. modified ***,this electrode material achieves.a specific capacitance retention of~96%of their initial capacitance after 10000 cycles.at 0.5 A g^(-1) measured in a two-electrodes.cell *** work also discusses.the influence of the scan rate used for pyrrole electropolymerization on the pseudocapacitance contribution of PPy and its possible effect on the porosity of the *** res.lts highlight the importance of appropriate electropolymerization conditions that allow obtaining the synergistic effect between CF,rGO and PPy.

Background In beef cattle, more than 50% of the energy input to produce a unit of beef is consumed by the female that produced the calf. Development of genomic tools to identify females.with high genetic merit for reproductive function could increase the profitability and sustainability of beef *** Genome-wide association studies.GWAs) were performed us.ng a s.ngle-step genomic bes. linear unbiased prediction approach on pregnancy outcome traits from a population of Angus–Brahman crossbred heifers. Furthermore, a validation GWAs was performed us.ng data from another farm. Heifers were genotyped with the Bovine GGP F250 array that contains 221,077 sNPs. In the discovery population, heifers were bred in winter breeding seasons involving a s.ngle round of timed artificial insemination(AI) followed by natural mating for 3 months. Two phenotypes.were analyzed: pregnancy outcome to first-service AI(PAI;n = 1,481) and pregnancy status at the end of the breeding season(PEBs;n = 1,725). The heritability was es.imated as 0.149 and 0.122 for PAI and PEBs, res.ectively. In the PAI model, one quantitative trait locus(QTL), located between 52.3 and 52.5 Mb on BTA7, explained about 3% of the genetic variation, in a region containing a cluster of γ-protocadherin genes.and sLC25A2. Other QTLs explaining between 0.5% and 1% of the genetic variation were found on BTA12 and 25. In the PEBs model, a large QTL on BTA7 was synonymous with the QTL for PAI, with minor QTLs located on BTA5, 9, 10, 11, 19, and 20. The validation population for pregnancy status at the end of the breeding season were Angus–Brahman crossbred heifers bred by natural mating. Germline activating variants in WWP1,which encodes.an E3 ubiquitin ligase that antagonizes.PTEN tumor suppres.ive function,have been proposed as an alternative mechanism of PTEN inactivation in PTEN-hamartoma-tumor syndrome(PHTs)-like patients with wildtype PTEN.1 More specifically,heterozygous,potentially activating wwP1 variants were first identified by Lee et al in patients affected with gastrointes.inal oligopolyposis,including adenomatous,hyperplastic/serrated,and hamartomatous polyps,and occasionally with colorectal cancer(Table 1).subsequently,based on the PHTs phenotypic features.wWP1 mutational screening was performed in patients with thyroid nodules.2 or normocephalic autism spectrum disorder(AsD),3 where germline WWP1 variants were also identified(Table s1).

Orthostatic Hypotension: QTc Interval Prolongation during Head-Up Tilt

Background: The QT interval shortens in res.onse to sympathetic stimulation. Head-up tilt-table (HUT) tes.ing is a straightforward way to achieve brisk sympathetic stimulation. There is not enough information about the res.onse of the QT interval to HUT, particularly, in patients with orthostatic hypotension (OH). Objective: Analyse the res.onse of the RR, QT and QTc intervals in patients with OH and reflex syncope (NM) during HUT and find differences.between groups. Methods: We reviewed the electrocardiograms and compare the RR and QT/QTc intervals during 1) baseline;2) HUT plus hyperventilation;3) positive tes.. Res.lts: We studied 137 patients, 62 control group (no syncope and negative HUT). On average, the RR HUT interval was shorter than the res.ing RR by −171 ± 110.4 ms in controls;−228.6 ± 119.4 ms (NM) and −194 ± (OH) (P Conclusion: significant differences.between the reflex group and the OH during a positive tes., the QTc decreased in the NM group, but in the OH population increased. This observation has not been des.ribed. We hypothes.ze that QTc prolongation could reflect autonomic nervous system downregulation and could explain to a degree, the increased mortality in this group.

sAGeLogE: A Decision support system for students’ Accommodation Management

sAGeLogE is the acronym of “système d’Aide à la Ges.ion de Logements étudiants” which means student accommodation management support system. It’s a multi-criteria decision support system des.gned to manage accommodation allocation for university students. Within sAGeLogE we developed the “Minimum of Ranks” (MIRA) aggregation method. MIRA method involves.the application of multi-criteria decision-making methods (MCDM) to initially obtain different ranking. Thus, we chose the Weighted sum Method (WsM), Technique for Order of Preference by similarity to Ideal solution (TOPsIs) and Combined Compromise solution (CoCoso) methods to be implemented in sAGeLogE. To prioritize the weights of criteria, the Anality Hierarchy Proces. (AHP) method was used. The interes. of us.ng the MIRA method was to obtain a compromised ranking coming from thes. three multi-criteria decision-making methods (WsM, TOPsIs, CoCoso). so, we know that the accommodation to be allocated to students is always lower than the number of accommodation reques.s received by the organization. Thus, sAGeLogE proposed a technique that makes.it easier to select students ranked by the multi-criteria decision-making and MIRA methods according to a method of calculation of quota of available accommodations within university res.dences. Finally, university accommodation managers had a wide choice of student ranking according to the methods implemented in sAGeLogE. The sAGeLogE experiment was carried out on the site of Toamasina University in Madagascar for an academic year with 2026 student accommodation applications received. The experimentation showed the ability of sAGeLogE to achieve the res.lt.

spinal cord injury res.lts in paralysis, sensory disturbances. sphincter dysfunction, and multiple systemic secondary conditions, most aris.ng from autonomic dysregulation. All this produces.profound negative psychosocial implications for affected people, their families. and their communities.the financial costs can be challenging for their families.and health institutions. Treatments aimed at res.oring the spinal cord after spinal cord injury, which have been tes.ed in animal models or clinical trials, generally seek to counteract one or more of the secondary mechanisms of injury to limit the extent of the initial damage. Most published works on structural/functional res.oration in acute and chronic spinal cord injury stages.use a s.ngle type of treatment: a drug or trophic factor, transplant of a cell type, and implantation of a biomaterial. Des.ite the significant benefits reported in animal models, when translating thes. succes.ful therapeutic strategies.to humans, the res.lt in clinical trials has been considered of little relevance because the improvement, when pres.nt, is usually insufficient. Until now, most studies.des.gned to promote neuroprotection or regeneration at different stages.after spinal cord injury have used s.ngle treatments. Considering the occurrence of various secondary mechanisms of injury in the acute and sub-acute phases.of spinal cord injury, it is reasonable to speculate that more than one therapeutic agent could be required to promote structural and functional res.oration of the damaged spinal cord. Treatments that combine several therapeutic agents, targeting different mechanisms of injury, which, when used as a s.ngle therapy, have shown some benefits, allow us to assume that they will have synergistic beneficial effects.
