BACKGRo.ND: The aim o. the study is to.evaluate the theo.etical kno.ledge and psycho.o.o. skill acquisitio. o. basic life suppo.t(BLS) by a gro.p o. seco.dary scho.l students in Nigeria pre and po.t BLS training. METHo.S: This was quasi-experimental study design with 210 participants. They were taught o. adult BLS and all the participants practiced BLS o. a Resusci-Anne manikin immediately after the training. Data were co.lected using American Heart Asso.iatio.(AHA) structured questio.naire and psycho.o.o. skills checklist fo. BLS at baseline, and po.t BLS ***: The pre-training kno.ledge sco.e was 1.9±1.4. This increased after the BLS training to.11.4±2.4, and the mean difference between the pre and po.t BLS training sco.es was 9.48571. Pre-training psycho.o.o. skill sco.e was 0.00±0.00, this increased to.8.9±1.9 after the training, and the mean difference was 8.90000. The kno.ledge and psycho.o.o. skill difference between pre and po.t BLS training was signifi cant(Po.CLUSIo.: Mo.t Nigerian seco.dary scho.l students were no. kno.ledgeable abo.t BLS. Therefo.e, there is need fo. the creatio. o. mo.e awareness amo.g the students.

instability asso.iated Land co.er change can lead to.slo.e by accelerating ero.ive pro.esses with agriculture, fo.estry, and infrastructure. The Rio.Chiquito.Barranca del Muerto.subbasin has experienced an increase in land co.er change due to.go.ernment pro.rams and the establishment o. agricultural and urban areas. The aim o. this study was to.pro.ide a mo.el to.map the susceptibility to.gravitatio.al pro.esses alo.g sites where anthro.o.enic land co.er change has o.curred. The metho. was based o. the stratificatio. o. the subbasin acco.ding to.landfo.ms and carto.raphic variables. These variables were used in a multi- criteria assessment to.assign weights acco.ding to.their co.tributio. to.the o.set o. new gravitatio.alpro.esses. Tho.e weights were used to.create a susceptibility map based o. a weighted linear sum. The accuracy o. the resulting map was validated in an erro. matrix with a rando. stratified design based o. susceptibility classes per landfo.m. The results pro.uced a map o. areas with susceptibility to.gravitatio.al pro.esses due to.land co.er change; this susceptibility is very high in the undifferentiated pyro.lastic slo.e and limesto.e mo.ntain, where it derives no. o.ly fro. anthro.o.enie effects o. natural vegetatio. co.er, but also.fro. steep slo.es, weathered materials, lo. apparent density, high ero.ivity, and previo.s gravitatio.al pro.esses. Nitro.en （N） is an essential macro.utrient that affects plant gro.th and develo.ment. N is an impo.tant co.po.ent o. chlo.o.hyll, amino.acids, nucleic acids, and seco.dary metabo.ites. Nitrate is o.e o. the mo.t abundant N so.rces in the so.l. Because nitrate and o.her N nutrients are o.ten limiting, plants have develo.ed so.histicated mechanisms to.ensure adequate supply o. nutrients in a variable enviro.ment. Nitrate is abso.bed in the ro.t and mo.ilized to.o.her o.gans by nitrate transpo.ters. Nitrate sensing activates signaling pathways that impinge upo. mo.ecular, metabo.ic, physio.o.ical, and develo.mental respo.ses lo.ally and at the who.e plant level. With the advent o. geno.ics techno.o.ies and genetic to.ls, impo.tant advances in o.r understanding o. nitrate and o.her N nutrient respo.ses have been achieved in the past decade. Furthermo.e, techniques that take advantage o. natural po.ymo.- phisms present in divergent individuals fro. a single species have been essential in unco.ering new co.po.ents. Ho.ever, there are still gaps in o.r understanding o. ho. nitrate signaling affects bio.o.- ical pro.esses in plants. Mo.eo.er, we still lack an integrated view o. ho. all the regulato.y facto.s iden- tified interact o. cro.stalk to.o.chestrate the myriad N respo.ses plants typically exhibit. In this review, we pro.ide an updated o.erview o. mechanisms by which nitrate is sensed and transpo.ted thro.gho.t the plant. We discuss signaling co.po.ents and ho. nitrate sensing cro.stalks with ho.mo.al pathways fo. develo.mental respo.ses lo.ally and glo.ally in the plant. Understanding ho. nitrate impacts o. plant metabo.ism, physio.o.y, and gro.th and develo.ment in plants is key to.impro.ing cro.s fo. sustainable agriculture.
