Due to their encouraging results,nanolubricants have been revolutionary in the field of *** degree,to which the new material may improve the tribology,energy savings,and durability,is a crucial consideration for any new additive to a conventional *** results of the earlier research on carbon,metal,metal oxide,and their composites and hybrid nanolubricants as well as their effects on tribology,are summarized in this review *** most popular measuring methodologies,the tribology results for lubricants with an oil base,biodegradable base,and a water base,as well as the reasons that explain these tribological advancements,are all included in this ***,prospects for more study in this area are emphasized.

neurodegeneration with brain iron accumulation is a broad term that describes a heterogeneous group of progressive and invalidating neurologic disorders in which iron deposits in certain brain areas,mainly the basal *** predominant clinical symptoms include spasticity,progressive dystonia,Parkinson's disease-like symptoms,neuropsychiatric alterations,and retinal *** the neurodegeneration with brain iron accumulation disorders,the most frequent subtype is pantothenate kinase-associated neurodegeneration(PKAn) caused by defects in the gene encoding the enzyme pantothenate kinase 2(PAnK2)which catalyzed the first reaction of the coenzyme A biosynthesis *** there is no effective treatment to prevent the inexorable course of these *** aim of this review is to open up a discussion on the utility of using cellular models derived from patients as a valuable tool for the development of precision medicine in ***,we have described that dermal fibroblasts obtained from PKAn patients can manifest the main pathological changes of the disease such as intracellular iron accumulation accompanied by large amounts of lipofuscin granules,mitochondrial dysfunction and a pronounced increase of markers of oxidative *** addition,PKAn fibroblasts showed a morphological senescence-like ***,pantothenate supplementation,the substrate of the PAnK2 enzyme,corrected all pathophysiological alterations in responder PKAn fibroblasts with low/residual PAnK2 enzyme ***,pantothenate treatment had no favourable effect on PKAn fibroblasts harbouring mutations associated with the expression of a truncated/incomplete *** correction of pathological alterations by pantothenate in individual mutations was also verified in induced neurons obtained by direct reprograming of PKAn *** observations indicate that pantothenate supplementation can increase/stabilize the expression levels of PAnK2 in s

net energy(nE)enables the prediction of more accurate feed energy values by taking into account the heat increment which is approximately 25%of apparent metabolizable energy(AME)in ***,application of nE in poultry industry has not been practiced *** predict the nE values of broiler diets,23 diets were prepared by using 13 major ingredients(wheat,corn,paddy rice,broken rice,cassava pellets,full-fat soybean,soybean meal,canola meal,animal protein,rice bran,wheat bran,palm kernel meal and palm kernel oil).The diets were formulated in order to meet the birds'requirements and get a wide range of chemical compositions(on DM basis;33.6%to 55.3%for starch;20.8%to 28.4%for CP,2.7%to 10.6%for ether extract[EE]and 7.0%to 17.2%for nDF),with low correlations between these nutrients and low correlations between the inclusion levels of ingredients allowing for the calculation of robust prediction equations of energy values of diets or *** diets were fed to Ross 308 broilers raised in 12 open-circuit respiratory chambers from 18 to 23 d of age(4 birds per cage)and growth performance,diet AME content and heat production were measured,and dietary nE values were *** trial was conducted on a weekly basis with 12 diets measured each week(1per chamber),1 of the 23 diets(reference diet)being measured each *** diet was tested at least *** total,235 energy balance data values were available for the final *** performance,AME(15.3 MJ/kg DM on average)and AME/GE(79.4%on average)values were as *** nE/AME value averaged 76.6%and was negatively influenced by CP and nDF and positively by EE in connection with efficiencies of AME provided by CP,EE and starch for nE of 73%,87%and 81%,*** best prediction equation was:nE=(0.815×AME)—(0.026×CP)+(0.020×EE)—(0.024×nDF)with nE and AME as MJ/kg DM,and CP,EE and nDF as%of *** nE prediction equations from this study agree with other recently reported equation

A systematic study of the magnetic and structural properties dependence on the particle size was *** this,commercial ndFeB powder was separated into five different mean particle sizes using ***,from the original powder,eleven samples were also produced by mechanical milling assisted by surfactant,using various milling times.A total of sixteen samples were studied by scanning electron microscopy(sEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),vibrating sample magnetometry(VsM),and Mdssbauer spectrometry(Ms).The particle sizes of the samples vary from the micrometer to the nanometer *** crystallite size decreases with decreasing particle *** result indicates that the nd2Fe14B phase is found in all the samples,and the presence of this phase is also corroborated by Ms using six sextets for fitting their spectra,with an additional singlet corresponding to the nd1.1Fe4B4 *** mean hyperfine magnetic field increases with increasing particle size because the magnetic dipolar interaction between the magnetic moment of the particles increases with particle *** the VsM measurements the magnetic energy density(BH)max values were calculated for different particle sizes,and their maximum value of 34.45 MGOe is obtained for the sample with the particle size of 60μm.

Lipid peroxidation and iron accumulation are closely associated with neurodegenerative diseases,such as Alzheimer’s,Parkinson’s,and Huntington’s diseases,or neurodegeneration with brain iron accumulation *** dysfunction,lipofuscin accumulation,autophagy disruption,and ferroptosis have been implicated as the critical pathomechanisms of lipid peroxidation and iron accumulation in these ***,the connection between lipid peroxidation and iron accumulation and the initial cause or consequence in neurodegeneration processes is *** this review,we have compiled the known mechanisms by which lipid peroxidation triggers iron accumulation and lipofuscin formation,and the effect of iron overload on lipid peroxidation and cellular *** vicious cycle established between both pathological alterations may lead to the development of ***,the investigation of these mechanisms is essential for exploring therapeutic strategies to restrict *** addition,we discuss the interplay between lipid peroxidation and iron accumulation in neurodegeneration,particularly in PLA2G6-associated neurodegeneration,a rare neurodegenerative disease with autosomal recessive inheritance,which belongs to the group of neurodegeneration with brain iron accumulation disorders.

Different energy systems have been proposed for energy evaluation of feeds for domestic *** oldest and most commonly used systems take into account the fecal energy loss to obtain digestible energy(DE),and fecal,urinary and fermentation gases energy losses to calculate metabolizable energy(ME).In the case of ruminants and pigs,the net energy(nE)system,which takes into account the heat increment associated with the metabolic utilization of ME,has progressively replaced the DE and ME systems over the last 50 *** poultry,apparent ME(AME)is used exclusively and nE is not yet used *** present paper considers some important methodological points for measuring nE in poultry feeds and summarizes the available knowledge on nE systems for *** prediction equations based on a common analysis of three recent studies representing a total of 50 complete and balanced diets fed to broilers are proposed;these equations including the AME content and easily available chemical indicators have been validated on another set of 30 *** equations are applicable to both ingredients and complete *** rely primarily on an accurate and reliable AME value which then represents the first limiting predictor of nE *** analysis indicates that nE would be a better predictor of broiler performance than AME and that the hierarchy between feeds is dependent on the energy system with a higher energy value for fat and a lower energy value for protein in an nE *** considerations for implementing such an nE system from the commonly used AME or AMEn(AME adjusted for zero nitrogen balance)systems are *** conclusion,there is sufficient information to allow the implementation of the nE concept in order to improve the accuracy of feed formulation in poultry.

Infectious diseases constitute a limiting factor in the development of the aquaculture production, and control has solely concentrated on the use of antibiotics. However, the massive use of antibiotics for the control of diseases has been questioned by acquisition of antibiotic resistance and the need of alternative is of prime importance. Probiotics, live microorganisms administered in adequate amounts that confer a healthy effect on the host, are emerging as significant microbial food supplements in the field of prophylaxis.
