In power converter control,predictive control has several merits,such as simple concept and fast ***,the necessity to use the weighting factor inside the cost function makes the control design complex in the case of regulating multivariables where the value of the weighting factor is obtained by a nontrivial ***,it primarily depends on the system parameters and operating points of the control *** paper aims to enhance the model predictive algorithm of the singlestage topology of a quasi-Z Source Inverter(qZSI).The concept of a multi-objective optimization approach is used in addition to the sub-cost function definition to remove the weighting *** using the sub-cost function definition,the inductor current is pushed away from the main loop of the predictive ***,no weighting factor is needed to manage the priority of the inductor *** other two control targets,which are the capacitor voltage and load currents,will be controlled by the multi-objective optimization approach without using any weighting factors.A detailed theoretical analysis of the proposed technique will be given and validated based on simulation results.

With high penetration of renewable energy sources(RESs)in modern power systems,system frequency becomes more prone to fluctuation as RESs do not naturally have inertial properties.A conventional energy storage system(ESS)based on a battery has been used to tackle the shortage in system inertia but has low and short-term power support during the *** address the issues,this paper proposes a new synthetic inertia control(SIC)design with a superconducting magnetic energy storage(SMES)system to mimic the necessary inertia power and damping properties in a short time and thereby regulate the microgrid(µG)frequency during *** addition,system frequency deviation is reduced by employing the proportional-integral(PI)controller with the proposed SIC *** efficacy of the proposed SIC system is validated by comparison with the conventional ESS and SMES systems without using the PI controller,under various load/renewable perturbations,nonlinearities,and *** simulation results highlight that the proposed system with SMES can efficiently manage several disturbances and high system uncertainty compared to the conventional ESS and SMES systems,without using the PI controller.

Owing to the significant number of hybrid generation systems(HGSs)containing various energy sources,coordina-tion between these sources plays a vital role in preserving frequency *** this paper,an adaptive coordination control strategy for renewable energy sources(RESs),an aqua electrolyzer(AE)for hydrogen production,and a fuel cell(FC)-based energy storage system(ESS)is proposed to enhance the frequency stability of an *** the proposed system,the excess energy from RESs is used to power electrolysis via an AE for hydrogen energy storage in *** proposed method is based on a proportional-integral(Pl)controller,which is optimally designed using a grey wolf optimization(GWO)algorithm to estimate the surplus energy from RESs(ie,a proportion of total power generation of RESs:Kn).The studied HGS contains various types of generation systems including a diesel generator,wind tur-bines,photovoltaic(PV)systems,AE with FCs,and ESSs(e.g.,battery and flywheel).The proposed method varies Kn with varying frequency deviation values to obtain the best benefits from RESs,while damping the frequency *** proposed method is validated by considering different loading conditions and comparing with other existing studies that consider Kn as a constant *** simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method,which changes Kn value and subsequently stores the power extracted from the RESs in hydrogen energy storage according to frequency deviation changes,performs better than those that use constant *** statistical analysis for frequency deviation of HGS with the proposed method has the best values and achieves large improvements for minimum,maximum,difference between maximum and minimum,mean,and standard deviation compared to the existing method.

The generation of photovoltaic(PV)solar energy is increasing continuously because it is renewable,unlimited,and clean *** the past,generation systems depended on non-renewable sources such as oil,coal,and ***,this paper assesses the performance of a 51 kW PV solar power plant connected to a low-voltage grid to feed an administrative building in the 6th of October City,*** performance analysis of the considered grid-connected PV system is carried out using power system simulator for Engineering(PSS/E)*** the PSS/E program,monitors and uses the power analyzer that displays the parameters and measures some parameters such as current,voltage,total power,power factor,frequency,and current and voltage harmonics,the used inverter from the type of grid inverter for the considered *** results conclude that when the maximum solar radiation is reached,the maximum current can be obtained from the solar panels,thus obtaining the maximum power and power *** total voltage harmonic distortion,a current harmonic distortion within permissible limits using active harmonic distortion because this type is fast in processing up to 300 *** connection between solar stations and the national grid makes the system more efficient.

With rapidly growing of Renewable Energy Sources(RESs)in renewable power systems,several disturbances influence on the power systems such as;lack of system inertia that results from replacing the synchronous generators with RESs and frequency/voltage fluctuations that resulting from the intermittent nature of the ***,the modern power systems become more susceptible to the system instability than conventional power ***,in this study,a new application of Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage(SMES)(i.e.,auxiliary Load Frequency Control(LFC))has been integrated with the secondary frequency control(i.e.,LFC)for frequency stability enhancement of the Egyptian Power System(EPS)due to high RESs ***,the coordinated control strategy is based on the PI controller that is optimally designed by the Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)algorithm to minimize the frequency deviations of the *** EPS includes both conventional generation units(i.e.,non-reheat,reheat and hydraulic power plants)with inherent nonlinearities,and RESs(i.e.,wind and solar energy).System modelling and simulation results are carried out using Matlab/Simulink^(■)*** simulation results reveal the robustness of the proposed coordinated control strategy to preserve the system stability of the EPS with high penetration of RESs for different contingencies.

Efect of early feeding practices and eating behaviors on body composition in primary school children

Background Understanding children’s feeding practices and eating behaviors is important to determine etiology of childhood *** study aimed to explore the relationship between early feeding practices,eating behavior and body composition among primary school *** The data were collected from 403 primary school *** were administered structured questionnaire,including sociodemographic characteristics,early feeding practices and Child’s Eating Behavior *** and blood pressure(BP)measurements were *** Children with obesity and overweight showed higher food approach subscales and lower food avoidance subscales compared to a healthy and underweight *** who were exclusively or predominantly breast fed during the frst 6 months had the lowest scores for the food approach subscales,food responsiveness(FR)and emotional overeating(EOE)and had the highest scores for the food avoidance subscales,satiety responsiveness(SR)and emotional under eating(EUE).Children who were introduced solid food after 6 months showed lower scores for FR,enjoyment of food and EOE but scored highest for SR,slowness in eating(SE)and *** anthropometric measurements were positively correlated with all food approach subscales and negatively with SE,SR and food *** food approach subscales were positively correlated with BP *** food avoidance subscales were negatively correlated with both BP percentiles,except for EUE,which was negatively correlated with diastolic BP percentile ***,SR,SE and FR were predictors for child body mass *** Early feeding practices and eating behavior are considered as prevention approaches for obesity.

Objective:To evaluate the antipiroplasmic activities of methanolic extract of Olea europaea(MOE)and acetonic extract of Acacia laeta(AAL)against Babesia and Theileria parasites in vitro and evaluate the chemotherapeutic effects of these extracts against Babesia(B.)microti in ***:Fluorescence assay using SYBR Green 1 nucleic acid stain was used to detect inhibitory effects of the two extracts as well as the combination effects of the two extracts with diminazene aceturate and atovaquone on four Babesia species and Theileria equi in vitro while for in vivo experiments,8-weekold female BALB/c mice were injected intraperitoneally with 1× 107 ***-iRBCs and treated orally at a dose of 150 mg/kg of both ***:The half maximal inhibitory concentration(IC50)values of AAL against ***,***,***,***,and Theileria equi were lower than those of MOE *** assay on Madin-Darby bovine kidney,mouse embryonic fibroblast(NIH/3T3),and human foreskin fibroblast cell lines showed that MOE and AAL affected only the viability of Madin-Darby bovine kidney cell line with half maximal effective concentrations(EC50)of(794.7±41.9)and(873.9±17.5)μg/mL,*** oral treatments of MOE and AAL at 150 mg/kg inhibited the growth of *** in mice by 80.4% and 64.4%,*** MOE and diminazene aceturate combination showed a higher chemotherapeutic effect than that of ***:MOE and AAL have the potential to be an alternative remedy for treating ***,the combination therapy of MOE + DA was more potent against *** infection in mice than their monotherapies.
