Two vic-dioxime ligands （LxH2） containing morpholine group have been synthesized from 4-[2-（dimethylaminoethyl）] morpholine with anti-phenylchloroglyoxime or anti-monochloroglyoxime in absolute THF at -15 ℃. Reaction of two vic-dioxime ligands with MCl2·nH2O （M： Ni, Cu or Co and n=2 or 6） salts in 1 ： 2 molar ratio afforded metal complexes of type [M（LxH）2] or [M（LxH）2·2H2O]. All of metal complexes are non-electrolytes as shown by their molar conductivities （Am） in DMF （dimethyl formamide） at 10^-3 mol·L^-1. Structures of the ligands and metal complexes have been solved by elemental analyses, FT-IR, UV-Vis, ^1H NMR and ^13C NMR, magnetic susceptibility measurements, molar conductivity measurements. Furthermore, redox properties of the metal complexes were investigated by cyclic voltammetry.

Additive manufacturing(AM)has revolutionized the design and manufacturing of patient-specific,three-dimensional(3D),complex porous structures known as scaffolds for tissue engineering *** use of advanced image acquisition techniques,image processing,and computer-aided design methods has enabled the precise design and additive manufacturing of anatomically correct and patient-specific implants and ***,these sophisticated techniques can be timeconsuming,labor-intensive,and ***,the necessary imaging and manufacturing equipment may not be readily available when urgent treatment is needed for trauma *** this study,a novel design and AM methods are proposed for the development of modular and customizable scaffold blocks that can be adapted to fit the bone defect area of a *** modular scaffold blocks can be combined to quickly form any patient-specific scaffold directly from two-dimensional(2D)medical images when the surgeon lacks access to a 3D printer or cannot wait for lengthy 3D imaging,modeling,and 3D printing during *** proposed method begins with developing a bone surface-modeling algorithm that reconstructs a model of the patient’s bone from 2D medical image measurements without the need for expensive 3D medical imaging or *** algorithm can generate both patient-specific and average bone ***,a biomimetic continuous path planning method is developed for the additive manufacturing of scaffolds,allowing porous scaffold blocks with the desired biomechanical properties to be manufactured directly from 2D data or *** algorithms are implemented,and the designed scaffold blocks are 3D printed using an extrusion-based AM *** and instructions are also provided to assist surgeons in assembling scaffold blocks for the self-repair of patient-specific large bone defects.

In this study, the stress based finite element method is coupled with the boundary element method in two different ways. In the first one, the ordinary distribution matrix is used for coupling. In the second one, the stress traction equilibrium is used at the interface line of both regions as a new coupling process. This new coupling procedure is presented without a distribution matrix. Several case studies are solved for the validation of the developed coupling procedure. The results of case studies are compared with the distribution matrix coupling, displacement based finite element method, assumed stress finite element method, boundary element method, ANSYS and analytical results whenever possible. It is shown that the coupling of the stress traction equilibrium with assumed stress finite elements gives as accurate results as those by the distribution matrix coupling.

Purpose:Digitoxin is a cardiac glycoside used in the treatment of heart *** by its known antiinflammatory effect,this study aims to investigate the effect of digoxin in a sepsis model and to bring to light its effect and underlying mechanism in acute lung injury(ALI).Method:28 wistar albino rats were divided into 4 *** model is performed by the feces intraperitoneal-injection procedure(FIP).Results:TNF-a,CRP,IL-6,IL 1-Beta,lactic acid,and MDA values were significantly decreased in the FIP+digitoxin group compared to the FIP+Saline *** the same groups were examined,histological improvements such as decrease in alveolar inflammation and decrease in septal thickening in the digitoxin group and thorax CT were found to be significantly higher in the Hounsfield unit digitoxin group compared to the Saline ***:Digitoxin has shown biochemical improvement in sepsis with all known mechanisms of action,and healing effects in both computerized tomography and histology in the lung.

Background:Recently,awareness of the cumulative radiation exposure for pediatric oncology patients has been increasing,together with increased survival rates and longer life *** aim of our study was to quantify the amount of ionising radiation from imaging modalities of pediatric oncology ***:Eighty-eight patients who were diagnosed with childhood cancer and followed up for 5 years between 2004-2014 in our center were included in the ***' medical files were reviewed retrospectively for imaging history in the first 5 years after *** estimated effective doses from radiologic imaging modalities were ***,the basic demographic data,histologic type,stage,and outcomes of disease were collected for all ***:The individual total estimated effective doses ranged from 8.73 to 167 mSv,with a median of 62.92 *** tomography was the greatest contributor of total effective *** doses ranged 21.45-113.20 mSv (median:62.92 mSv) in Hodgkin lymphoma,12.53-167.10 mSv (median:52 mSv) in non-Hodgkin lymphoma,4.13-172.98 mSv (median:52 mSv) in neuroblastoma,31-149.89 mSv (median:63.10 mSv) in Wilms' tumor,11.50-73.72 mSv (median:36.90 mSv) in germ cell tumor,26.46-125.86 mSv (median:80.90 mSv) in other solid tumor and 0.02-13.31 mSv (5.25 mSv) in brain tumor ***-two children (25%) died with progressive disease during the 5-year follow-up ***:Similar to previous studies,the total estimated effective doses in children with cancer have been found various according to diagnosis,stage and clinical *** clarify the harmfull effects of radiation burden,prospective studies should be conducted in children with cancer.

AIM:To investigate the effects of gallbladder stones on motor functions of the gallbladder and the dynamics of bile flow in asymptomatic gallstone ***:Quantitative hepatobiliary scintigraphy was performed to detect the parameters of gallbladder motor function [gallbladder ejection fraction(GBEF),gallbladder visualization time(GBVT),gallbladder time to peak activity(GBTmax),gallbladder half emptying time(GBT1/2),and transit time of bile to duodenum(TTBD)] in 24 patients with asymptomatic cholelithiasis who were diagnosed incidentally during routine abdominal ultrasonographic examination and 20 healthy subjects with normal ***:Even though there was no significant difference in the clinical and laboratory parameters between the patient and control groups,all parameters of gallbladder function except TTBD were found to differ significantly between the two *** in the patient group was decreased(P=0.000) and GBVT,GBTmax,GBT1/2 in the patient group were longer(P=0.000,P=0.015,P=0.001,respectively).CONCLUSION:Our results showed that even if there were not any clinical and laboratory findings,gallbladder filling and emptying could be impaired in patients with gallstone disease.

Melanoma is a serious malignant skin *** eliminating melanoma and healing after-surgical wounds are always challenges in clinical *** address these problems,we propose manganese-doped calcium silicate nanowire-incorporated alginate hydrogels(named MCSA hydrogels)for in situ photothermal ablation of melanoma followed by the wound healing *** proposed MCSA hydrogel had controllable gelation properties,reasonable strength,and excellent bioactivity due to the incorporated calcium silicate nanowires as the in situ cross-linking agents and bioactive *** doping of manganese into calcium silicate nanowires gave them excellent photothermal effects for eradicating melanoma effectively under near infrared(NIR)***,the synergistic effect of manganese and silicon in the MCSA hydrogel effectively promotes migration and proliferation of vascular endothelial cells and promotes ***,such bifunctional bioactive hydrogels could achieve combined functions of photothermal therapy and wound healing,showing great promise for melanoma therapy and tissue regeneration.
