The global practical implementation of proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs)heavily relies on the advancement of highly effective platinum(Pt)-based electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).To achieve high ORR performance,electrocatalysts with highly accessible reactive surfaces are needed to promote the uncovering of active positions for easy mass *** this critical review,we introduce different approaches for the emerging development of effective ORR electrocatalysts,which offer high activity and *** strategies,including morphological engineering,geometric configuration modification via supporting materials,alloys regulation,core-shell,and confinement engineering of single atom electrocatalysts(SAEs),are discussed in line with the goals and requirements of ORR performance *** review the ongoing development of Pt electrocatalysts based on the syntheses,nanoarchitecture,electrochemical performances,and *** eventually explore the obstacles and research directions on further developing more effective electrocatalysts.

A growing body of evidence suggests that the gut microbiota contributes to the development of neurodegenerative diseases via the microbiota-gut-brain *** a contributing factor,microbiota dysbiosis always occurs in pathological changes of neurodegenerative diseases,such as Alzheimer’s disease,Parkinson’s disease,and amyotrophic lateral ***-throughput sequencing technology has helped to reveal that the bidirectional communication between the central nervous system and the enteric nervous system is facilitated by the microbiota’s diverse microorganisms,and for both neuroimmune and neuroendocrine ***,we summarize the bioinformatics analysis and wet-biology validation for the gut metagenomics in neurodegenerative diseases,with an emphasis on multi-omics studies and the gut *** pathogen-associated signaling biomarkers for identifying brain disorders and potential therapeutic targets are also ***,we discuss the role of diet,prebiotics,probiotics,postbiotics and exercise interventions in remodeling the microbiome and reducing the symptoms of neurodegenerative diseases.

Biogeographical barriers to gene flow are central to plant *** East Asia,plant distribution is greatly influenced by two phylogeographic breaks,the Mekong-Salween Divide and Tanaka-Kaiyong Line,however,few studies have investigated how these barriers affect the genetic diversity of species that are distributed across *** we used 14 microsatellite loci and four chloroplast DNA fragments to examine genetic diversity and distribution patterns of 49 populations of Populus rotundifolia,a species that spans both the Mekong-Salween Divide and the Tanaka-Kaiyong Line in southwestern *** and migration hypotheses were tested using coalescent-based *** historical gene flow was observed between the western and eastern groups of ***,but substantial flow occurred across both the Mekong-Salween Divide and Tanaka-Kaiyong Line,manifesting in clear admixture and high genetic diversity in the central ***-borne pollen and seeds may have facilitated the dispersal of *** following prevalent northwest winds in the *** also found that the Hengduan Mountains,where multiple genetic barriers were detected,acted on the whole as a barrier between the western and eastern groups of *** niche modeling suggested that *** has undergone range expansion since the last glacial maximum,and demographic reconstruction indicated an earlier population expansion around 600 *** phylogeographic pattern of *** reflects the interplay of biological traits,wind patterns,barriers,niche differentiation,and Quaternary climate *** study emphasizes the need for multiple lines of evidence in understanding the Quaternary evolution of plants in topographically complex areas.

Liver transplantation(LT)is the standard therapy for individuals afflicted with end-stage liver *** notable advancements in LT technology,the incidence of early allograft dysfunction(EAD)remains a critical concern,exacerbating the current organ shortage and detrimentally affecting the prognosis of ***,the perplexing hepatic heterogeneity has impeded characterization of the cellular traits and molecular events that contribute to ***,we constructed a pioneering single-cell transcriptomic landscape of human transplanted livers derived from non-EAD and EAD patients,with 12 liver samples collected from 7 donors during the cold perfusion and portal reperfusion *** of the 75231 cells of non-EAD and EAD patients revealed an EAD-associated immune niche comprising mucosal-associated invariant T cells,granzyme B^(+)(GZMB^(+))granzyme K^(+)(GZMK^(+))natural killer cells,and S100 calcium binding protein A12^(+)(S100A12^(+))***,we verified this immune niche and its association with EAD occurrence in two independent *** findings elucidate the cellular characteristics of transplanted livers and the EAD-associated pathogenic immune niche at the single-cell level,thus,offering valuable insights into EAD onset.

The emergence of fluorescent light-up molecular probe,which can specifically turn on their fluorescent in the presence of stimulation factors,has open up a new opportunity to advance biosensing and *** this work,we designed and synthesized a peptide-AIE conjugate probe for cell imaging with controlled in situ assembled *** modular designed probe is consisted of a selfassembled peptide-tetraphenylethene(TPE)motif,a fibroblast activation protein alpha(FAP-α)responsive motif,a hydrophilic motif and a targeting *** probe exhibits typically turn-on fluorescence property specifically triggered by FAP-α,which is a significant overexpressed membrane protein on pancreatic tumor ***,the peptide modified the TPE dramatically impacts the assembled nanostructure,which can be modulated by peptide *** a result,the peptide FF(PhePhe)modification of TPE as the self-assembled motif provides a suitable balance of the probe with lightup property and nanofiber assembled structure in ***,our probe could effectively detect the FAP-αon tumor cells with high ***,the nanofibers in situ assembled on the surface of CAFs enhanced the probe accumulation and prolonged the retention for cell *** envision that this study may inspire new insights into the design of nanostructure controlled AIE light-up bio-probe.

Effect of Cu doping and annealing treatment on the microstructure and mag-netic properties of nanocrystalline single-phase Nd-Fe-B alloys

The effects of Cu addition and annealing treatment on the magnetic properties and microstructure of Ndl2.3Fe81.7-xCuxB6 （x=0-1.2） ribbons melt-spun and annealed were systematically investigated by the methods of vibrating sample magnetometer （VSM）, X-ray diffraction （XRD）, and transmission electron microscopy （TEM）. Optimum magnetic properties were achieved by annealing melt-spun Nd12.3Fe81.5Cu0.2B6 ribbons at 550℃ for 15 min, which only contained Nd2Fe14B phase. The remanence, coercive force, and maximum energy product increase by 18.4%, 36.2%, and 49% respectively compared with those of Cu-free samples. The sig- nificant improvement in magnetic properties originates from the freer grains of the samples by introducing Cu, which leads to the stronger exchange-coupling between neighboring grains.
