BACKGROUND Acute-on-chronic liver disease(AoCLD)accounts for the majority of patients hospitalized in the Department of Hepatology or Infectious *** To explore the characterization of AoCLD to provide theoretical guidance for the accurate diagnosis and prognosis of *** Patients with AoCLD from the chinese Acute-on-Chronic Liver Failure(ACLF)study cohort were included in this *** clinical characteristics and outcomes,and the 90-d survival rate associated with each clinical type of AoCLD were analyzed,using the Kaplan-Meier method and the log-rank *** A total of 3375 patients with AoCLD were enrolled,including 1679(49.7%)patients with liver cirrhosis acute decompensation(LC-AD),850(2..2.)patients with ACLF,577(17.1%)patients with chronic hepatitis acute exacer-bation(CHAE),and 2.9(8.0%)patients with liver cirrhosis active phase(LC-A).The most common cause of chronic liver disease(CLD)was HBV infection(71.4%).The most common precipitants of AoCLD was bacterial infection(2..8%).The 90-d mortality rates of each clinical subtype of AoCLD were 43.4%(2.2.535)for type-C ACLF,36.0%(36/100)for type-B ACLF,2..0%(58/2.5)for type-A ACLF,9.0%(151/1679)for LC-AD,3.0%(8/2.9)for LC-A,and 1.2.(7/577)for *** HBV infection is the main cause of CLD,and bacterial infection is the main precipitant of *** most common clinical type of AoCLD is *** diagnosis and timely intervention are needed to reduce the mortality of patients with LC-AD or ACLF.

The geothermal resources in the southwest section of the Mid-Spine Belt of Beautiful china are abundant,but the quantitative prediction and evaluation of geothermal resources are very difficult. Based on geographic information system (GIS) and remote sensing (RS) platforms,six impact factors,namely land surface temperature,fault density,Gutenberg–Liszt B value,formation combination entropy,distance to river and aeromagnetic anomaly were selected. Through the establishment of the certainty factor model (CF),weights of the information entropy certainty factor model (ICF) and weights of the evidence certainty factor model (ECF),the geothermal potential in the study area were predicted quantitatively. Based on the ECF results,the six main geothermal resource areas were delineated. The results show that (1) ECF had high prediction accuracy (success index is 0.00405%,area ratio is 0.867);(2. The geothermal resource areas obtained were Ganzi–Ya’an–Liangshan,Panzhihua–Liangshan,Dali–Chuxiong,Nujiang–Baoshan,Diqing–Dali,and Lijiang–Diqing. The results provide a basis for the effective development and utilization of geothermal resources in the southwest section of the mid-ridge belt.

The Songke No.2.well (eastern hole)(referred to as Well SK-2.,one of the "two wells and four holes"of the Deep Continental Scientific Drilling Engineering Project in the Songliao Basin,is in Anda City, Heilongjiang Province,and was officially completed on May 2.,*** scientific goals of Well SK-2.cover four aspects:paleoclimate research,resource and energy exploration,primary geological research, and development of deep earth exploration *** the official commencement of drilling in 2.14,the Well SK-2.scientific drilling engineering team has organized and implemented drilling for coring,in situ logging,chemical analysis of core elements,and deep structural exploration around the ***,the following preliminary scientific research progress has been made:4334.81 m in situ core data has been obtained;the centimeter-level high-resolution characterization of the most complete and continuous Cretaceous continental strata ever unearthed has been completed,and the standard profile of continental strata has been initially established;the unconventional natural gas resources and basin-type hot dry rocks in the deep Songliao Basin were found to have good prospects for exploration and development;the climatic evolutionary history of the Cretaceous continental strata was rebuilt for the first time,covering hundreds of thousands to millions of years,and the major events of Cretaceous climate fluctuations have been discovered;all these reveal strong evidence for the subduction and aggregation of paleo-ocean plates,providing a theoretical basis for the re-recognition of the genesis of the Songliao Basin and for deep earth oil and gas *** implementation of the Deep Continental Scientific Drilling Engineering Project in the Songliao Basin is of great significance for exploring the mysteries of the earth and solving major problems such as those related to the deep energy *** is a solid step along the road of "going deep into the earth".

Desertification, soil salinization and grassland degradation are the major environmental hazards faced by the Gannan Plateau, northeastern Tibetan Plateau. Ecological risk assessment plays an important role in formulating environmental management strategies yet little attention to this region. In this study, we established an ecological risk assessment index system based on 30 evaluation indices in the categories of hydrometeorology, ecological environment, ground surface disturbance, and society and economy for the Gannan Plateau. An entropy method was used to calculate an index weight,and subsequently the matter-element method was used together with extension theory to establish a matter-element extension model of ecological risk. We assessed the ecological risk in this region by calculating the degree of association between index layer, system layer and target layer, and the cumulative ecological risk index. The degrees of ecological risk for the counties of the region were determined by using Arc GIS which would represent a spatial heterogeneity of the risk grade in production. Our results showed that the areas of high ecological risk were in Zhouqu County and Zhuoni County, and others were of low risk(Hezuo City, Diebu County, Xiahe County and lintan County) or intermediate risk(Maqu County). The results of the assessment were in accord with the actual observed situation. Thus, our ecological risk assessment index system is appropriate for this region and suggests that high risk counties need a priori ecological protection. Such research could provide a technological support which would potentially prevent or reduce disasters by establishing an ecological barrier to promote the sustainable development of Gannan Plateau.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is highly prevalent among older men, impacting on their quality of life, sexual function, and genitourinary health, and has become an important global burden of disease. Transurethral plasmakinetic resection of prostate (TUPKP) is one of the foremost surgical procedures for the treatment of BPH. It has become well established in clinical practice with good efficacy and safety. In 2.18, we issued the guideline “2.18 Standard Edition”. However much new direct evidence has now emerged and this may change some of previous recommendations. The time is ripe to develop new evidence-based guidelines, so we formed a working group of clinical experts and methodologists. The steering group members posed 31 questions relevant to the management of TUPKP for BPH covering the following areas: questions relevant to the perioperative period (preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative) of TUPKP in the treatment of BPH, postoperative complications and the level of surgeons’ surgical skill. We searched the literature for direct evidence on the management of TUPKP for BPH, and assessed its certainty generated recommendations using the grade criteria by the European Association of Urology. Recommendations were either strong or weak, or in the form of an ungraded consensus-based statement. Finally, we issued 36 statements. Among them, 2. carried strong recommendations, and 13 carried weak recommendations for the stated procedure. They covered questions relevant to the aforementioned three areas. The preoperative period for TUPKP in the treatment of BPH included indications and contraindications for TUPKP, precautions for preoperative preparation in patients with renal impairment and urinary tract infection due to urinary retention, and preoperative prophylactic use of antibiotics. Theγ-ray emission from the W51 complex is widely acknowledged to be attributed to the interaction between the cosmic rays(CRs)accelerated by the shock of supernova remnant(SNR)W51C and the dense molecular clouds in the adjacent star-forming region,***,the maximum acceleration capability of W51C for CRs remains *** on observations conducted with the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory(LHAASO),we report a significant detection ofγrays emanating from the W51 complex,with energies from 2.to 2.0 *** LHAASO measurements,for the first time,extend theγ-ray emission from the W51 complex beyond 100 TeV and reveal a significant spectrum bending at tens of *** combining the"π^(0)-decay bump"featured data from Fermi-LAT,the broadbandγ-ray spectrum of the W51 region can be well-characterized by a simple pp-collision *** observed spectral bending feature suggests an exponential cutoff at~400 TeV or a power-law break at~2.0 TeV in the CR proton spectrum,most likely providing the first evidence of SNRs serving as CR accelerators approaching the PeV ***,two young star clusters within W51B could also be theoretically viable to produce the most energeticγrays observed by *** findings strongly support the presence of extreme CR accelerators within the W51 complex and provide new insights into the origin of Galactic CRs.
