Research progress on formation and suppression of crack defects in oxide eutectic ceramics by laser additive manufacturing

Oxide eutectic ceramics have excellent high specific strength , high temperature resistance , corrosion resistance , oxidation and creep resistance , and so on , which are considered to be the promising materials to be used in ultra -high temperature oxidation , corrosion and other extreme environments. It shows great application prospects in the new generation of high thrust -to -weight ratio aero-engine for hightemperature hot -end structural components. Laser additive manufacturing technology has become one of the most promising cutting -edge technologies for the preparation of high-performance complex structural components in recent years. Crack defect is easy to occur in the process of laser rapid solidification of ceramics , which seriously affects the quality and performance of the oxide eutectic ceramics components. So , it has become a key factor restricting the engineering application. Two typical laser additive manufacturing technologies for ceramics including laser engineered net shaping and laser power bed fusion were briefly summarized. The crack morphology characteristics of different shaped components formed by the above two technologies were analyzed and compared. The formation mechanism of cracks in laser additive manufacturing of oxide ceramics was explored from the perspectives of microstructure characteristics ,stress state. Further ,a systematic summary was presented focusing on the improvement of microstructures and the reduction of thermal stress to inhibit crack formation through optimization of process parameters ,compositional design ,and outfield assistance. Finally ,it is pointed out that the future development trends and breakthrough directions of oxide eutectic ceramics by laser additive manufacturing in terms of and factors ,and research.

Effect of phosphatase and tensin homolog-induced putative kinase 1/ E3 ubiquitin ligase Parkin mediated mitochondrial autophagy on chronic kidney disease myocardial injury and the intervention mechanism of Shen Shuai recipe(肾衰方)

Objective: To study whether Shenshuai recipe (肾衰方， SSR) can play a protective role on chronic kidney disease myocardial injury model through phosphatase and tensin homolog-induced putative kinase 1 (PINK1)/E3 ubiquitin ligase Parkin (Parkin) mitochondrial autophagy pathway. Methods: Forty-eight nephrectomized rats were randomly divided into six groups: sham-operated group， model group， Benazepril group， low， medium and high-dose groups of SSR. The rats were given the corresponding intervention for six weeks， then were sacrificed. Serum was examined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cardiac ultrasound was used to detect cardiac function in 5/6 nephrectomized rats. Myocardial tissue was examined by light and electron microscopy; PINK1， Parkin， microtubule-associated protein1 light chain 3 II (LC3B)， sequestosome 1 (P62)， BECN1 (Beclin-1) and dynamin-related protein 1 (Drp-1) were measured by real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR)， Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC). Results: The expression levels of Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN) and Creatinine (SCr) in the model group were significantly higher than those in the sham-operated group， indicating that modeling was successful. SSR can protect myocardium by reducing the relative expression of creatine kinase myocardial isoenzyme and hypersensitivity cardiac troponin I (P mined by RT-PCR， WB and IHC， SSR can increase the relative expression of PINK1， Parkin， and LC3B (P < 0.05)， and decrease the relative expression of P62， Beclin-1 and Drp-1 (P < 0.05). Conclusions: The PINK1/Parkin mitochondrial autophagy pathway in myocardial tissues in 5/6 nephrectomy CKD myocardial injury rats was inhibited. Vibration Control of A Flexible Marine Riser System Subject to Input Dead Zone and Extraneous Disturbances

An observer-based adaptive backstepping boundary control is proposed for vibration control of flexible offshore riser systems with unknown nonlinear input dead zone and uncertain environmental disturbances.The control algorithm can update the control law online through real-time data to make the controller adapt to the environment and improve the control precision.Specifically,based on the adaptive backstepping framework,virtual control laws and Lyapunov functions are designed for each subsystem.Three direction interference observers are designed to track the timevarying boundary disturbance.On this basis,the inverse of the dead zone and linear state transformation are used to compensate for the original system and eliminate the adverse effects of the dead zone.In addition,the stability of the closed-loop system is proven by Lyapunov stability theory.All the system states are bounded,and the vibration offset of the riser converges to a small area of the initial position.Finally,four examples of flexible marine risers are simulated in MATLAB to verify the effectiveness of the proposed controller.

Neuregulin 4 (Nrg4),an epidermal growth factor (EGF) family member,can bind to and activate the ErbB4 receptor tyrosine kinase.Nrg4 has five different isoforms by alternative splicing and performs a wide variety of functions.Nrg4 is involved in a spectrum of physiological processes including neurobiogenesis,lipid metabolism,glucose metabolism,thermogenesis,and angiogenesis.In pathological processes,Nrg4 inhibits inflammatory factor levels and suppresses apoptosis in inflammatory diseases.In addition,Nrg4 could ameliorate obesity,insulin resistance,and cardiovascular diseases.Furthermore,Nrg4 improves non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) by promoting autophagy,improving lipid metabolism,and inhibiting cell death of hepatocytes.Besides,Nrg4 is closely related to the development of cancer,hyperthyroidism,and some other diseases.Therefore,elucidation of the functional role and mechanisms of Nrg4 will provide a clearer view of the therapeutic potential and possible risks of Nrg4.

Secular trends of asthma mortality in China and the United States from 1990 to 2019

Background:Asthma imposes a large healthcare burden in China and the United States(US).However,the trends of asthma mortality and the relative risk factors have not been comparatively analyzed between the countries.The aim of this study was to compare the mortality and risk factors between China and the US.Methods:The deaths,and mortality rates of asthma in China and the US during 1990–2019 were obtained from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019.The age–period–cohort model was used to estimate these mortality rates based on a log-linear scale with additive age,period,and cohort effects.The population attributable fractions of risk factors for asthma were estimated.Results:In 1990–2019,the asthma mortality rate was higher in China than in the US.The crude and age-standardized asthma mortality rates trended downward in both China and the US from 1990 to 2019.The decline in mortality was more obvious in China.Mortality gap between the two countries was narrowing.A sex difference in asthma mortality was observed with higher mortality in males in China and females in the US.The age effects showed that mortality increased with age in adults older than 20 years,particularly in the elderly.Downward trends were generally observed in the period and cohort rate ratios in both countries,with China experiencing a more obvious decrease.Smoking and high body mass index(BMI)were the leading risk factors for asthma mortality in China and the US,respectively.Mortality attributable to occupational asthmagens and smoking decreased the most in China and the US,respectively.Conclusions:In 1990–2019,the asthma mortality rate was higher in China than in the US;however,the mortality gap has narrowed.Mortality increased with age in adults.The improvements in asthma death risk with period and birth cohort were more obvious in China than in the US.Smoking,high BMI,and aging are major health problems associated with asthma control.The role of occupational asthmagens in asthma mortality underscores the importance of management and preventi

Experimental and numerical study regarding H-steel all-bolted connection steel frame with composite wall boards

H-steel all-bolted connection steel frame structures with heat preservation and decoration composite wall boards were investigated and the seismic performances of three scaled specimens were studied.The failure modes,hysteresis curves,bearing capacity,ductility,energy dissipation capacity,stiffness degradation and strain distribution were discussed.The calculation method of structural theoretical internal force was presented.The results showed that the overall structural seismic performance was better,and the structural ductility met the demands of elastic-plastic inter-story drift angle for seismic design.The H-steel weak-axis connection structure obtained better energy dissipation capacity,and its bearing capacity and stiffness were slightly different from the strong-axis connection.The heat preservation and decoration performance of composite wallboard and the all-bolted connection of the steel frame realized prefabrication during the whole construction period.The plastic hinge of the steel beam can be moved outwards because of the L-angles,which effectively avoids stress concentration in joint areas and expands the plastic hinge range.The errors between the theoretical structural capacity calculated by the plastic analysis method and the test results were within 2.44%.In addition,structural failure mechanisms and bearing capacities were verified by the finite element(FE)analysis,and the effects of the main parameters on the structures were investigated.The FE verification results were the same as in the test.The research results provide theoretical support and technical guidance for the application of thermal insulation and decorative composite wall panels in H-shaped steel all-bolted steel frames.

Hemoglobin loss method calculates blood loss during pancreaticoduodenectomy and predicts bleeding-related risk factors

BACKGROUND The common clinical method to evaluate blood loss during pancreaticoduoden-ectomy(PD)is visual inspection,but most scholars believe that this method is extremely subjective and inaccurate.Currently,there is no accurate,objective me-thod to evaluate the amount of blood loss in PD patients.We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 341 patients who underwent PD in Shandong Provincial Hospital from March 2017 to February 2019.According to different surgical methods,they were divided into an open PD(OPD)group and a laparoscopic PD(LPD)group.The differences and correlations between the in-traoperative estimation of blood loss(IEBL)obtained by visual inspection and the intraoperative calculation of blood loss(ICBL)obtained using the Hb loss method were analyzed.ICBL,IEBL and perioperative calculation of blood loss(PCBL)were compared between the two groups,and single-factor regression analysis was performed.RESULTS There was no statistically significant difference in the preoperative general patient information between the two groups(P>0.05).PD had an ICBL of 743.2(393.0,1173.1)mL and an IEBL of 100.0(50.0,300.0)mL(P200μmol/L(95%CI:7.09-644.26;P=0.045)were independent risk factors for PCBL.The ICBLs of the LPD group and OPD group were 767.7(435.4,1249.0)mL and 663.8(347.7,1138.2)mL,respectively(P>0.05).The IEBL of the LPD group 200.0(50.0,200.0)mL was slightly greater than that of the OPD group 100.0(50.0,300.0)mL(P>0.05).PCBL was greater in the LPD group than the OPD group[1061.6(612.3,1632.3)mL vs 806.1(375.9,1347.6)mL](P<0.05).CONCLUSION The ICBL in patients who underwent PD was greater than the IEBL,but there is a certain correlation bet

AIM:To observe the effect of ghrelin,a growth hormonereleasing peptide,on retinal angiogenesis in vitro under high glucose(HG)stress and to explore the possible mechanism of autophagy.METHODS:Human retinal microvascular endothelial cells(HRMECs)were treated with high concentration of glucose alone or in combination with ghrelin.The cell migration,tube formation and the expression of the autophagy-related proteins LC3-II/I,Beclin-1,p62,phosphorylated AKT(p-AKT)/AKT and phosphorylated mammalian target of rapamycin(p-mTOR)/mTOR were detected.Then,to clarify the correlation between ghrelin effect and autophagy,AKT inhibitor VIII was adopted to treat HRMECs,and cell migration,tube formation as well as the protein expressions of LC3-II/I,Beclin-1 and p62 were observed.RESULTS:Under HG stress,ghrelin inhibited migration and tube formation of HRMECs.Ghrelin inhibited the increases in the protein levels of LC3-II/I,Beclin-1 and the decreases in the protein levels of p62,p-AKT/AKT and p-mTOR/mTOR induced by HG stress.Moreover,under the action of AKT/mTOR pathway inhibitors,the effects of ghrelin on migration and tube formation were both reduced.In addition,the expression of LC3-II/I and Beclin-1 were significantly up-regulated and the expression of p62 was down-regulated.CONCLUSION:Retinal angiogenesis under in vitro HG stress can be inhibited by ghrelin through activating AKT/mTOR pathway to inhibit autophagy.

Theoretical study on magnetocaloric effect and its electric-field regulation in CrI_(3)/metal heterostructure

The extraordinary properties of a heterostructure by stacking atom-thick van der Waals(vdW)magnets have been extensively studied.However,the magnetocaloric effect(MCE)of heterostructures that are based on monolayer magnets remains to be explored.Herein,we deliberate MCE of vd W heterostructure composed of a monolayer CrI_(3)and metal atomic layers(Ag,Hf,Au,and Pb).It is revealed that heterostructure engineering by introducing metal substrate can improve MCE of CrI_(3),particularly boosting relative cooling power to 471.72μJ m^(-2)and adiabatic temperature change to 2.1 K at 5 T for CrI_(3)/Hf.This improved MCE is ascribed to the enhancement of magnetic moment and intralayer exchange coupling in CrI_(3)due to the CrI_(3)/metal heterointerface induced charge transfer.Electric field is further found to tune MCE of CrI_(3)in heterostructures and could shift the peak temperature by around 10 K in CrI_(3)/Hf,thus manipulating the working temperature window of MCE.These theoretical results could enrich the research on low-dimensional magnetocaloric materials.
