Novel Lewis acidic ionic liquids containing thionyl cations and chloroaluminate anions were obtained by one-pot synthesis for the first time. Their acidities were determined by acetonitrile probe on IR spectrography. The ionic liquids were used as catalyst for Friedel-Crafts alkylation of benzene and 1-dodecene. The turnovers of l-dodecene were higher than 99%. Monoalkylbenzene selectivity was 98%, while the 2-substituent product selectivity was 45%.

Objective： To identify the commonalities between rheumatoid arthritis （RA） and diabetes mellitus （DM） to understand the mechanisms of Chinese medicine （CM） in different diseases with the same treatment. Methods： A text mining approach was adopted to analyze the commonalities between RA and DM according to CM and biological elements. The major commonalities were subsequently verified in RA and DM rat models, in which herbal formula for the treatment of both RA and DM identified via text mining was used as the intervention. Results： Similarities were identified between RA and DM regarding the CM approach used for diagnosis and treatment, as well as the networks of biological activities affected by each disease, including the involvement of adhesion molecules, oxidative stress, cytokines, T-lymphocytes, apoptosis, and inflammation. The Ramulus Cinnamomi-Radix Paeoniae Alba-Rhizoma Anemarrhenae is an herbal combination used to treat RA and DM. This formula demonstrated similar effects on oxidative stress and inflammation in rats with collagen-induced arthritis, which supports the text mining results regarding the commonalities between RA and DM. Conclusion： Commonalities between the biological activities involved in RA and DM were identified through text mining, and both RA and DM might be responsive to the same intervention at a specific stage.

Submergence can induce anaerobic stress on germinating seedlings in direct seeded rice paddy fields, limiting the practice of direct seeding. Longer coleoptiles improves the anaerobic tolerance of rice seedlings under submerged conditions. In a search for genes that could be beneficial for developing submergence-tolerant varieties 148 non-repetitive SNP loci were detected in on a genome-wide association study (GWAS) of coleoptile length (CL), coleoptile surface area (CSA), coleoptile volume (CV), and coleoptile diameter (CD) of 591 rice accessions subjected to 4 d of anaerobic conditions. Integration of GWAS results and gene expression data identified OsEE1, an early embryogenesis-specific enolase 1 gene associated with coleoptile length (CL) in rice grown in anaerobic conditions. Disruption of OsEE1 caused reduced CL in plants seeded under anaerobic conditions, whereas CL of OE-OsEE1 overexpression lines was significantly increased compared with the wild type. Functional analysis revealed that OsEE1 affects coleoptile length by modulating the glycolysis and tricarboxylic acid cycle pathways. Transcriptome sequencing of ko-osee1-1 knock out mutants highlighted enrichment in energy and carbohydrate metabolism, glycolysis, amino acid metabolism, and hormone signal transduction. Metabolite analysis indicated decreased levels of key metabolites in the tricarboxylic acid cycle and glycolysis pathways in ko-osee1-1 mutants compared to the wild type under anaerobic conditions. Overall, these findings shed light on the role of OsEE1 in determination coleoptile length of rice seedlings under anaerobic conditions. © 2024 Crop Science Society of China and Institute of Crop Science, CAAS

Objective: To explore the molecular-level mechanism on the hematopoiesis effect of Angelicae sinensis Radix(ASR) with systems-based interactome analysis. Methods: This systems-based interactome analysis was designed to enforce the workflow of "ASR(herb)→compound→target protein→internal protein actions→ending regulated protein for hematopoiesis". This workflow was deployed with restrictions on regulated proteins expresses in bone marrow and anemia disease and futher validated with experiments. Results: The hematopoiesis mechanism of ASR might be accomplished through regulating pathways of cell proliferation towards hemopoiesis with cross-talking agents of spleen tyrosine kinase(SYK), Janus kinase 2(JAK2), and interleukin-2-inducible T-cell kinase(ITK). The hematopoietic function of ASR was also validated by colonyforming assay performed on mice bone marrow cells. As a result, SYK, JAK2 and ITK were activated. Conclusion: This study provides a new approach to systematically study and predict the therapeutic mechanism for ASR based on interactome analysis towards biological process with experimental validations.

This study primarily investigates the rock fracture mechanism of bottom cushion layer blasting and explores the effects of the bottom cushion layer on rock *** involves analyses of the evolution patterns of blasting stress,characteristics of crack distribution,and rock fracture features in the ***,blasting model experiments were carried out using the dynamic caustics principle to investigate the influence of bottom cushion layers and initiation methods on the integrity of the bottom rock *** experimental results indicate that the combined use of bottom cushion layers and inverse initiation effectively protects the integrity of the bottom rock ***,the process of stress wave propagation and dynamic crack propagation in rocks was simulated using the continuum-discontinuum element method(CDEM)and the Landau explosion source model,with varying thicknesses of bottom cushion *** numerical simulation results indicate that with increasing cushion thickness,the absorption of energy generated by the explosion becomes more pronounced,resulting in fewer cracks in the bottom rock *** illustrates the positive role of the cushion layer in protecting the integrity of the bottom rock mass.

To explore air contamination resulting from special biomass combustion and suspended dust in Lhasa,the present study focused on the size distribution and chemical characteristics of particulate matter(PM)emission resulting from 7 types of non-fossil pollution *** investigated the concentration and size distribution of trace elements from 7 pollution sources collected in *** Lhasa’s atmospheric particulate matter data,enrichment factors(EFs)have been calculated to examine the potential impact of those pollution sources on the atmosphere quality of *** highest mass concentration of total elements of biomass combustion appeared at PM_(0.4),and the second highest concentration existed in the size fraction 0.4-1μm;the higher proportion(12%)of toxicmetals was produced by biomass *** elemental composition of suspended dust and atmospheric particulate matter was close(except for As and Cd);the highest concentration of elements was all noted in PM_(2.5-10)(PM3-10).Potassium was found to be one of the main biomass *** proportion of Cu in suspended dust is significantly lower than that of atmospheric particulate matter(0.53%and 3.75%),which indicates that there are other anthropogenic *** EFs analysis showed that the Cr,Cu,Zn,and Pb produced by biomass combustion were highly enriched(EFs>100)in all particle *** EFs of most trace elements increased with decreasing particle size,indicating the greater influence of humanfactors on smaller particles.

Na3V2（PO4）3（NVP） is regarded as alternative cathode material for sodium-ion batteries（SIBs） due to its potential high-rate performance and pronounced long-term cycle stability. However, electronic conductivity and tap density are difficult to be balanced. Herein, we report that high-temperature shock（HTS） can prepare “single crystalline like” NVP which combines high-rate capability with high tap density together into one with the assistance of carbon framework and large particle. Thus, high reversible capacity of 110m Ah/g at 0.1 C with 89.9% capacity retention after 1600 cycles at 1 C and specific capacity of 83.5 m Ah/g at 50 C rate has been exhibited. This study provides a novel strategy to guide the production of high tap density, and rate performance polyanionic cathode materials.
