Oil pollution and the energy crisis make oil-water separation an urgent for human *** widespread use of materials with a single emulsion separation capability is *** on-demand separation materials can adapt to a wide range of application scenarios,thus having a wider range of *** underoil superhydrophilic surface is of great significance for realizing the on-demand separation of oil/water emulsions through the removal of water in the oil and oil in the water.A 3D porous emulsion separation material based on the superhydrophilic principle of sphagnum moss was *** material was prepared in a simple step by taking advantage of the adhesion of polydopamine and the introduction of the as-prepared superhydrophilic BaSO4 nanoparticles to achieve superhydrophilicity with a water contact angle(WCA)of 0°and an oil contact angle(OCA)of 157.3°,resulting in excellent separation performance for both water-in-oil and oil-in-water *** superhydrophilic porous composite(OSPC)can complete two kinds of emulsion separations by filtration or *** adsorbs water from water-in-oil emulsion to achieve separation,with a good adsorption capacity of 74.38 g/g and efficiency up to 99%.It can also filter oil-in-water emulsions with an efficiency of 99.92%.The separation efficiencies are all almost unchanged after ten separation ***,the material has excellent flame retardancy,which reduces the possibility of secondary *** three-dimensional porous sponge has excellent on-demand separation performance for multiple *** provides a new preparation strategy for underoil superhydrophilic materials and a new idea for the design direction of special wetting materials for the on-demand separation of oil/water emulsions.

CMAS-phobic and infiltration-inhibiting protective layer material for thermal barrier coatings

Calcium-magnesium-alumina-silicate(CMAS)corrosion has attracted special attention in the thermal barrier coating(TBC)*** high temperatures,when CMAS melts,it adheres to the coating surface and penetrates the interior,severely destroying the *** this study,a promising CMAS-phobic and infiltration-inhibiting material,GdPO4,on which molten CMAs is difficult to wet and penetrate,was *** desirable attributes are explained by analyzing the material characteristics of GdPO_(4) and its interfacial reaction with ***4 is demonstrated to have low surface energy,making it difficult for molten CMAS to wet and adhere to the *** in contact with molten CMAS,a double-layer structured reaction layer consisting of an acicular upper sublayer and a compact lower sublayer is formed on the GdPO4 surface,which can effectively impede molten CMAS spreading and ***-principles calculation results revealed that the reaction layer has low surface energy and low adhesion to CMAS,which are favorable for molten CMAS ***,the formation of the reaction layer increases the viscosity of the molten CMAS,which can increase melt wetting and ***,GdPO4,which exhibits excellent CMAS-phobicity and infiltration-inhibiting ability,is a promising protective layer material for TBCs against CMAS adhesion and attack.

This research aimed to examine the diagnostic accuracy and clinical significance of endoscopic ultrasonography(EUS)in the context of small rectal neuroendocrine neoplasms(NENs).A total of 108 patients with rectal subepithelial lesions(SELs)with a diameter of<20 mm were included in the *** diagnosis and depth assessment of EUS was compared to the histology *** prevalence of NENs in rectal SELs was 78.7%(85/108).The sensitivity of EUS in detecting rectal NENs was 98.9%(84/85),while the specificity was 52.2%(12/23).Overall,the diagnostic accuracy of EUS in identifying rectal NENs was 88.9%(96/108).The overall accuracy rate for EUS in assessing the depth of invasion in rectal NENs was 92.9%(78/84).Therefore,EUS demonstrates reasonable diagnostic accuracy in detecting small rectal NENs,with good sensitivity but inferior *** may also assist physicians in assessing the depth of invasion in small rectal NENs before endoscopic excision.

Overexpression of PbrGA2ox1 enhances pear drought tolerance through the regulation of GA_(3)-inhibited reactive oxygen species detoxification and abscisic acid signaling

Drought stress is a devastating natural disaster driven by the continuing intensification of global warming,which seriously threatens the productivity and quality of several horticultural crops,including ***(GAs)play crucial roles in plant growth,development,and responses to drought *** studies have shown significant reductions of GA levels in plants under drought stress;however,our understanding of the intrinsic regulation mechanisms of GA-mediated drought stress in pear remains very ***,we show that drought stress can impair the accumulation of bioactive GAs(BGAs),and subsequently identified PbrGA2ox1 as a chloroplast-localized GA deactivation *** gene was significantly induced by drought stress and abscisic acid(ABA)treatment,but was suppressed by GA_(3)***2ox1-overexpressing transgenic tobacco plants(Nicotiana benthamiana)exhibited enhanced tolerance to dehydration and drought stresses,whereas knock-down of PbrGA2ox1 in pear(Pyrus betulaefolia)by virus-induced gene silencing led to elevated drought *** plants were hypersensitive to ABA,and had a lower BGAs content,enhanced reactive oxygen species(ROS)scavenging ability,and augmented ABA accumulation and signaling under drought stress compared to wild-type ***,the opposite effects were observed with PbrGA2ox1 silencing in ***,exogenous GA_(3)treatment aggravated the ROS toxic effect and restrained ABA synthesis and signaling,resulting in the compromised drought tolerance of *** summary,our results shed light on the mechanism by which BGAs are eliminated in pear leaves under drought stress,providing further insights into the mechanism regulating the effects of GA on the drought tolerance of plants.

A unified stochastic damage model for concrete based on multi-scale energy dissipation analysis

This work proposes a unified damage model for concrete within the framework of stochastic damage mechanics. Based on the micro-meso stochastic fracture model(MMSF), the nonlinear energy dissipation process of the microspring from nanoscale to microscale is investigated. In nanoscale, the rate process theory is adopted to describe the crack growth rate;therefore, the corresponding energy dissipation caused by a representative crack propagation can be obtained. The scale gap from nanoscale to microscale is bridged by a crack hierarchy model. Thus, the total energy dissipated by all cracks from the nanoscale to the microscale is gained. It is found that the fracture strain of the microspring can be derived from the above multi-scale energy dissipation analysis. When energy dissipation is regarded as some microdamage to the microspring, the constitutive law of the microspring is no longer linearly elastic, as previously assumed. By changing the expression of the damage evolution law from fracture strain to energy dissipation threshold, the new damage evolution model is derived. The proposed model can not only replicate the original static model but also extend to cases of rate dependence. By deriving the fracture strain under different strain rates, the rate sensitivity of concrete materials can be reflected. The model parameters can be conveniently obtained by identifying them with experimental data. Finally, several numerical examples are presented to verify the proposed model.

IBI310 is a recombinant fully human IgG1 antibody against cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen *** study was conducted to evaluate IBI310 monotherapy or combination therapy with sintilimab in the patients with advanced melanoma or urothelial carcinoma(UC).Patients in phase 1a received IBI310 at 0.3/1/2/3 mg/kg intravenously(IV)every 3 weeks(Q3W)following the accelerated titration and 3+3 escalation *** in phase 1b received IBI310(1/2/3 mg/kg IV,Q3W)plus sintilimab(200 mg IV,Q3W)for four cycles,followed by sintilimab maintenance *** phase 1b expansion of IBI310 plus sintilimab was performed in patients with advanced melanoma or ***,53 patients were enrolled,including 10 patients with melanoma in phase 1a,34 with melanoma,and 9 with UC in phase ***,94.3%of patients(50/53)experienced at least one treatment-related adverse event(TRAE)with most being grade 1–2;26.4%of patients(14/53)experienced grade 3 or higher *** phase 1a,the disease control rate(DCR)was 50.0%(95%confidence interval[CI],18.7%–81.3%).In phase 1b,the objective response rate(ORR)and DCR were 17.6%(95%CI,6.8%–34.5%)and 44.1%(95%CI,27.2%–62.1%),respectively,for melanoma,and were 22.2%(95%CI,2.8%–60.0%)and 66.7%(95%CI,29.9%–92.5%),respectively,for ***310 monotherapy or combination therapy with sintilimab was well tolerated with favorable antitumor activity across patients with advanced melanoma and UC.

Surface engineering on MnO_(2)nanorods by La single atoms to accelerate oxygen reduction kinetics

Surface engineering,which modulates the electronic structure and adsorption/desorption properties of electrocatalysts,is one of the key strategies for improving the catalytic ***,we demonstrate a facile solid-phase reaction for surface engineering of MnO_(2)to boost the oxygen reduction *** reaction with surface hydroxy groups,La single atoms with loading amount up to 2.7 wt%are anchored onto a-MnO_(2)*** surface engineering,the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)kinetics is significantly improved with the half-wave potential from 0.70 to 0.84 V,the number of transferred electrons from 2.5 to 3.9 and the limiting current density from 4.8 to 6.0 mA·cm^(-2).In addition,the catalyst delivers superior discharge performance in both alkaline and neutral metal–air *** functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that atomic La modulates the surface electronic configuration of MnO_(2),reduces its d-band center and thus lowers the OOH*and O*reaction energy *** work provides a new route for rational design of highly active electrocatalyst and holds great potential for application in various catalytic reactions.
