Exploring the correlation between temperature and crime:A case-crossover study of eight cities in America

Recent years have seen increasing academic interest in exploring the correlation between temperature and ***,it is uncertain whether similar long-term trends or seasonality(rather than causal effect)of temper-ature and crime is the major reason for the observed correlation between *** explore whether there is still a correlation between temperature and crime when long-term trends and seasonal cycles are filtered out,we use the Kalman filter to decompose the time series of temperature and crimes,and then the fast Fourier transform is used to calculate the exact circle of their seasonality *** on that,the box-plot method and linear regression are used to explore the correlation between temperature residuals and crime *** results show that more than half of the crime types have similar seasonal cycles(approximately 1 year)to that of ***,the daily residual analyses show that temperature residuals have a positive correlation with assault and robbery residuals in all cities,whose average slopes are more than *** other four types of crimes vary greatly from case to *** temperature residuals show a weak correlation with the residuals of some crime types.

This paper presents a comprehensive exploration into the integration of Internet of Things(IoT),big data analysis,cloud computing,and Artificial Intelligence(AI),which has led to an unprecedented era of *** delve into the emerging trend of machine learning on embedded devices,enabling tasks in resource-limited ***,the widespread adoption of machine learning raises significant privacy concerns,necessitating the development of privacy-preserving *** such technique,secure multi-party computation(MPC),allows collaborative computations without exposing private *** its potential,complex protocols and communication interactions hinder performance,especially on resource-constrained *** to enhance efficiency have been made,but scalability remains a *** the success of GPUs in deep learning,lever-aging embedded GPUs,such as those offered by NVIDIA,emerges as a promising ***,we propose an Embedded GPU-based Secure Two-party Computation(EG-STC)framework for Artificial Intelligence(AI)*** the best of our knowledge,this work represents the first endeavor to fully implement machine learning model training based on secure two-party computing on the Embedded GPU *** experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of *** an embedded GPU with a power draw of 5 W,our implementation achieved a secure two-party matrix multiplication throughput of 5881.5 kilo-operations per millisecond(kops/ms),with an energy efficiency ratio of 1176.3 kops/ms/***,leveraging our EG-STC framework,we achieved an overall time acceleration ratio of 5–6 times compared to solutions running on server-grade *** solution also exhibited a reduced runtime,requiring only 60%to 70%of the runtime of previously best-known methods on the same *** summary,our research contributes to the advancement of secure and efficient machine learning implementations on resource-constrained embedded

Deconvolution is a commonly employed technique for enhancing image quality in optical imaging ***-nately,its application in optical coherence tomography(OCT)is often hindered by sensitivity to noise,which leads to ad-ditive ringing *** artifacts considerably degrade the quality of deconvolved images,thereby limiting its effect-iveness in OCT *** this study,we propose a framework that integrates numerical random phase masks into the deconvolution process,effectively eliminating these artifacts and enhancing image *** optimized joint operation of an iterative Richardson-Lucy deconvolution and numerical synthesis of random phase masks(RPM),termed as De-conv-RPM,enables a 2.5-fold reduction in full width at half-maximum(FWHM).We demonstrate that the Deconv-RPM method significantly enhances image clarity,allowing for the discernment of previously unresolved cellular-level details in nonkeratinized epithelial cells ex vivo and moving blood cells in vivo.

本文运用词典法和大语言模型测度美联储言辞沟通和中国投资者情绪,分析美联储言辞沟通对中国投资者情绪的影响效应。结果表明:美联储言辞沟通与中国投资者情绪保持显著的正向关联,消极词汇和强弱语气词汇对投资者情绪的影响程度相对更强;仅有消极词汇对投资者情绪的影响存在显著的欠反应偏差,大部分词汇均对投资者情绪具备预期效应且具有显著的异质性;美联储言辞沟通对中国投资者情绪的影响效应具有非对称性,正向变动的边际效应强于负向变动;消极词汇在短期能提高投资者情绪的日内波动,而长期影响逐渐消失。

广东某办公楼基于气候特征,利用自身资源条件,因地制宜地集成了多种被动式设计,即将建筑朝向优化、金属穿孔板遮阳罩结合形体自遮阳以及中庭、天井、下沉庭院设计强化自然通风、自然采光等被动技术结合,同时辅以温湿度独立控制、湖水源热泵空调系统的主动式技术,以期最大化地降低建筑能耗。建筑运行后,依据实际运行及检测数据,有针对性地对室内外风环境、热湿环境、光环境及空气品质进行分析,验证了被动式、主动式节能技术应用效果良好,项目最终能耗较《民用建筑能耗标准》(GB/T 51161—2016)引导值降低了27.4%。但同时结合运行效果,提示今后设计可以在以下方面改进:考虑用能习惯设计供暖热源;适当减少半室外地下车库排风设备数量;温湿度独立控制空调系统在运行时,湿热天气需要提前开启空调除湿功能以防止结露。

教师评价是影响教师队伍质量的重要因素。本研究通过对我国东、中、西部地区的整群随机抽样,考察我国中小学教师评价制度中的评价主体、评价类型、考核指标以及评价效果。结果显示,校内考核部门、教师本人(自评)和校长作为评价主体对本校教师进行评价的频率最高;不同评价类型的评价主体中,校内考核部门、上级行政部门和校长是不同考核制度中最主要的评价主体;不同评价类型中所涵盖的考核指标各有侧重。基于这种现状,需要进一步健全教师评价队伍建设、提高学生和家长在评价中的话语权、探索新型评价方式,从而提升教师评价效果。

超高层建筑因特殊的物理形态和体量,直接导致其能耗相较常规建筑更大。依据“被动式设计优先、主动式设计优化”理念,需要优先考虑被动式技术措施降低能耗,但由于超高层建筑高度导致的风速、风压增大以及体量大导致的造价高等一系列问题,使常规措施在超高层建筑中应用的安全性、节能性、经济性均较差。通过案例调研及项目经验总结,提供了超高层公共建筑围护结构窗墙比控制、玻璃幕墙热工参数选取、遮阳设计、通风设计、采光设计的协同优化解决方案,并通过2个绿色建筑案例具体介绍了围护结构优化设计过程及设计新思路,为今后其他超高层建筑的节能优化设计提供借鉴及指导。
