Potassium alleviated high nitrogen-induced apple growth inhibition by regulating photosynthetic nitrogen allocation and enhancing nitrogen utilization capacity

There is a close relationship between potassium(K)and nitrogen(N).However,the roles of K under high N conditions remain unclear.Using a hydroponics approach,we monitored the morphological,physiological,and molecular changes in M9T337 apple(Malus domestica)rootstocks under different nitrate(10 and 30 mmol·L^(-1)NO_(3)^(-))and K supply(0.5,6,10,and 20 mmol·L_(-1)K^(+))conditions.Results revealed that high nitrate inhibited the root growth of M9T337 rootstocks,downregulated the expressions of K transporter genes(MdPT5,MdHKT1,and MdATK1),and reduced the net NO3-and K+influx at the surface of roots,thereby resulting in an N/K imbalance in rootstocks.Further investigation showed that 10 mmol·L^(-1)K increased the activity of N metabolic enzymes(NR,GS,NiR,and GOGAT),upregulated the expressions of genes related to nitrate uptake and transport(MdNRT1.1,MdNRT1.2,MdNRT1.5,and MdNRT2.4),promoted15N transport from the roots to the shoots,optimized leaf N distribution,and improved photosynthetic N utilization efficiency under high nitrate conditions.These results suggest that the negative effects of high nitrate may be related to the N/K imbalance and that reducing N/K in plants by increasing K supply level can effectively alleviate the inhibition of N assimilation by high nitrate stress.

BACKGROUND Lymphovascular invasion(LVI)and perineural invasion(PNI)are important prognostic factors for gastric cancer(GC)that indicate an increased risk of metastasis and poor outcomes.Accurate preoperative prediction of LVI/PNI status could help clinicians identify high-risk patients and guide treatment deci-sions.However,prior models using conventional computed tomography(CT)images to predict LVI or PNI separately have had limited accuracy.Spectral CT provides quantitative enhancement parameters that may better capture tumor invasion.We hypothesized that a predictive model combining clinical and spectral CT parameters would accurately preoperatively predict LVI/PNI status in GC patients.AIM To develop and test a machine learning model that fuses spectral CT parameters and clinical indicators to predict LVI/PNI status accurately.METHODS This study used a retrospective dataset involving 257 GC patients(training cohort,n=172;validation cohort,n=85).First,several clinical indicators,including serum tumor markers,CT-TN stages and CT-detected extramural vein invasion(CT-EMVI),were extracted,as were quantitative spectral CT parameters from the delineated tumor regions.Next,a two-step feature selection approach using correlation-based methods and information gain ranking inside a 10-fold cross-validation loop was utilized to select informative clinical and spectral CT parameters.A logistic regression(LR)-based nomogram model was subsequently constructed to predict LVI/PNI status,and its performance was evaluated using the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC).RESULTS In both the training and validation cohorts,CT T3-4 stage,CT-N positive status,and CT-EMVI positive status are more prevalent in the LVI/PNI-positive group and these differences are statistically significant(Pge,CT-EMVI,single-energy CT values of 70 keV of venous phase(VP-70 keV),and the ratio of standardized iodine concentration of equilibrium phase(EP-NIC)were ind

The conjugation of external species with twodimensional（2D） materials has broad application prospects.In this study,we have explored the potential of noble metal/2D MOF heterostructures in hydrogen storage.Specifically,the MgH2-Ni-MOF@Pd system has shown remarkable hydrogen desorption/sorption performances,starting to liberate hydrogen at 181 0C,which is 230 0C lower than that of pristine MgH2.Under the catalytic effect of Ni-MOF@Pd,the dehydrogenation apparent activation energy of MgH2 is noticeably decreased from（133.5 ± 17.5） to（34.58 ± 1.87） kJ·mol-1,and the hydrogenation apparent activation energy is reduced from（70.41 ± 7.43） to（25.78 ± 4.64） kJ·mol-1,which is lowered by 63.4%.The fully-dehydrogenated MgH2-NiMOF@Pd composite rapidly uptakes hydrogen,with 2.62wt% at 100℃ and 6.06 wt% at 150℃ within 300 s,respectively.The mechanism analysis of MgH2 catalyzed by Ni-MOF@Pd has revealed that the transformation of Mg2Ni and Mg2NiH4could act as a "hydrogen pump",providing numerous channels for fast diffusion and transport of hydrogen atoms.Moreover,in the dehydrogenation process,the element Pd reacts with MgH2to form the MgPd alloy phase,which makes MgH2take precedence to decompose through the Mg-Pd alloy rather than self-decomposition,further reducing thermal stability and improving de/hydrogenation kinetics.The synergistic effect of Mg-Pd,Mg2Ni,and the special ultra-thin 2D sheet structure of the additive is the main reason for the good hydrogen storage property of MgH2-Ni-MOF@Pd.Our findings provide inspiration for designing efficient multifunctional additives with unique morphologies to optimize the hydrogen desorption/sorption behaviors of hydrogen storage materials.

Electrocatalytic water splitting coupled with sustainable energies is identified as an environmentally friendly and renewable strategy to generate high-quality hydrogen for the fuel cells.However,the main challenge is to develop high performance,low cost and chemically stable electrocatalysts to decline the energy barriers and enhance the sluggish kinetics of hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).Herein,a three-dimensional hierarchically ordered macroporous Ru-CoP@NC electrocatalyst(3DOM Ru-CoP@NC)derived from ordered macro-microporous metal-organic frameworks has been prepared using the precursor@template and double-solvent methods.The prepared 3DOM Ru-CoP@NC catalyst exhibits an overpotential of 15 mV(j=10 mA·cm^(-2))and a reaction Tafel slope of 38 mV·dec^(-1)in alkaline electrolyte,which are superior to commercial Pt@C catalyst.Additionally,the overpotential and reaction Tafel slope of this catalyst in acidic media are 45 mV and 50 mV·dec^(-1),respectively.The outstanding HER activities of 3DOM Ru-CoP@NC catalysts are ascribed to the 3D highly interconnectedreticular nanospaces that can increase effective reaction active sites.The N dope d carbon framework improves the electronic properties and conductivity.Moreover,the strong interaction of Ru and CoP nanoparticles also boosts the HER process.These results indicate that 3DOM Ru-CoP@NC catalysts with high catalytic activities have a broad application prospect in the future.

MXenes have aroused intensive enthusiasm because of their exotic properties and promising applications.However,to date,they are usually synthesized by etching technologies.Developing synthetic technologies provides more opportunities for innovation and may extend unexplored applications.Here,we report a bottom-up gas-phase synthesis of Cl-terminated MXene(Ti_(2)CCl_(2)).The gas-phase synthesis endows Ti_(2)CCl_(2) with unique surface chemistry,high phase purity,and excellent metallic conductivity,which can be used to accelerate polysulfide conversion kinetics and dramatically prolong the cyclability of Li-S batteries.In-depth mechanistic analysis deciphers the origin of the formation of Ti_(2)CCl_(2) and offers a paradigm for tuning MXene chemical vapor deposition.In brief,the gas-phase synthesis transforms the synthesis of MXenes and unlocks the hardly achieved potentials of MXenes.

S-Box based on Composite field arithmetic（CFA） technology is optimized by genetic algorithm（GA）and Cartesian genetic programming（CGP） model for reducing the hardware complexity. After using the CFA technique to map Multiplicative inverse（MI） over GF（2～8）into composite field GF(（2～4）2), the compact MI circuit over GF（2～4） is selected from 100 evolved circuits, and same design method is applied to the compact multiplication circuit over GF（2～2）. Compared with the direct implementations, the areas of optimized circuits of MI over GF（2～4） and multiplication over GF(（2～2）2) are reduced by66% and 57.69%, respectively. The area reductions for MI over GF（2～8） and the whole of S-Box are up to 59.23%and 56.14%, separately. In 180 nm 1.8V COMS technology,compared to previous works, the S-Box proposed in this paper has the minimum area and minimum power, which are 11.27% and 6.65% smaller than that of the smallest area S-Box, respectively.

Design of an adaptive precoding/STBC baseband transceiver on a reconfigurable architecture

Precoding and space-time block coding （STBC）techniques using the uniform channel decomposition （UCD）are proposed to improve the bit error rate （BER） of themultiple-antenna communication system, but at a cost of areduced data rate. In order to achieve a higher overall systemperformance, a novel adaptive transceiver architecture whichflexibly combines both UCD and UCD ＋ STBC technologies isproposed. The channel state information （CSI） feedback pathwas added to the precoder to select which coding method wasto be used, i.e. UCD alone or UCD ＋ STBC. With thesmaller constellation sizes, Matlab simulation results showthat, the adaptive transceiver architecture will select the UCD-only mode under the higher SNR conditions in order to achievea higher bit rate. The UCD ＋ STBC mode will be selectedunder the lower SNR conditions （e. g., SNR 〈 10 dB） inorder to maintain good BER performance at the cost of areduced data rate. This architecture was implemented andverified using both UMC 0.18 ASIC process technology and aXilinx xc4vlx Virtex-4 FPGA at 150 MHz. The simulationresults demonstrate that the required number of reconfigurablearithmetic unit slices grows linearly with the channel matrixsize, while the number of adder array unit and reconfigurablelogic unit slices increases slightly with the constellation size.

地氯雷他定(DL)是一种治疗过敏性鼻炎和慢性荨麻疹的经典抗组胺药,在采用光谱法研究其结构相关的N—H键时,检测结果会受到不同预处理方式及测试方法的影响。采用透射模式傅里叶变换红外法(TR-FTIR)对DL进行检测,常规氯化钾压片法获得的光谱在3 325和3 304 cm-1处出现2个较弱的峰高约为1∶1的N—H伸缩特征吸收峰;石蜡糊法没有明显信号;样品先与石蜡混合成糊状再加入氯化钾压片,则会在3 327和3 304 cm-1处出现2个峰高约为1∶2.3的特征吸收峰;采用衰减全反射式傅里叶变换红外光谱法(ATR-FTIR)对DL进行检测,无论是改变ATR晶体类型还是改变仪器的检测器,此区间几乎检测不出特征峰;采用漫反射式傅里叶变换红外光谱法(DRS-FTIR),不需要对样品进行预处理,能检测出3 327和3 304 cm-1处2个峰高比约为1∶5的特征吸收峰。采用傅里叶变换拉曼方法(FT-Raman),无需预处理,信噪比高,能检测出3 327和3 304 cm-1处2个峰高比约为1∶6的特征峰;而分别采用激发波长为532、 633和785 nm的激光拉曼,荧光信号很强,1 700 cm^(-1)以上观察不到任何有用信号。为了进一步研究预处理过程对DL的影响,采用差示扫描量热法(DSC)对不同预处理后的样品进行了熔点测试,结果显示:(1) DL原样熔点为156.4℃, DL进行研磨后的样品熔点为156.6℃, DL与氯化钾进行物理混合后的样品熔点为156.6℃,说明研磨及物理混合对DL的晶型没有造成破坏;(2) DL与氯化钾一起混合研磨的样品,熔点为153.0℃,与石蜡混合后熔点为141.5℃,先石蜡制糊再加入氯化钾研磨的试样,熔点为145.0℃,熔点均比原样明显偏低且熔程变宽,说明这些预处理可能使原样的结构发生了变化。为避免预处理过程引入的不确定性,在对DL进行光谱检测时建议选用DRS-FTIR及FT-Raman方法。
