Pre-breakdown to stable phase and origin of multiple current pulses in argon dielectric barrier discharge

We report on the results of numerical models of the(i)initial growth and(ii)steady state phases of atmospheric-pressure homogeneous dielectric barrier discharge in *** employ our new inhouse code called Py DBD,which solves continuity equations for both particles and energy,shows exceptional stability,is accelerated by adaptive time stepping and is openly available to the scientific *** argon plasma is numerically challenging due to the lower speeds of more inertial ions compared to more commonly modeled neon and helium,but its common use for plasma jets in medicine makes its modeling *** DBD is here applied to modeling two setups:(i)the exponential growth from natural electron-ion seeds(onset phase)until saturation is reached and(ii)the multiple current pulses that naturally appear during the steady state *** find that the time required for the onset phase,when the plasma density grows from 10^(9)m^(-3)to 10^(17)m^(-3),varies from 80μs at 4.5 k V down to a fewμs above 6.5 k V,for voltage frequency f=80 k Hz and gap width d_(g)=0.9 *** the steady state,our model reproduces two previously observed features of the current in dielectric barrier discharge reactors:(1)an oscillatory behavior associated to the capacitative character of the circuit and(2)several(N_(p))current pulses occurring every half sinusoidal *** show that the oscillations are present during the exponential growth,while current pulses appear approaching the steady *** each micro-discharge,the gas voltage decreases abruptly and charged particles rapidly accumulate at the dielectric boundaries,causing avalanches of charged particles near the reactor ***,we run a parametric study finding that N_(p)increases linearly with voltage amplitude V_(amp),is inversely proportional to dielectric gap d_(g)and decreases when voltage frequency f *** code developed for this publication is freely available at the address https://***/gabers

3-multi ranked encryption with enhanced security in cloud computing

Searchable Encryption(SE)enables data owners to search remotely stored ciphertexts selectively.A practical model that is closest to real life should be able to handle search queries with multiple keywords and multiple data owners/users,and even return the top-k most relevant search results when *** refer to a model that satisfies all of the conditions a 3-multi ranked search ***,SE schemes that have been proposed to date use fully trusted trapdoor generation centers,and several methods assume a secure connection between the data users and a trapdoor generation *** is,they assume the trapdoor generation center is the only entity that can learn the information regarding queried keywords,but it will never attempt to use it in any other manner than that requested,which is impractical in real *** this study,to enhance the security,we propose a new 3-multi ranked SE scheme that satisfies all conditions without these security *** proposed scheme uses randomized keywords to protect the interested keywords of users from both outside adversaries and the honest-but-curious trapdoor generation center,thereby preventing attackers from determining whether two different queries include the same ***,we develop a method for managing multiple encrypted keywords from every data owner,each encrypted with a different *** evaluation demonstrates that,despite the trade-off overhead that results from the weaker security assumption,the proposed scheme achieves reasonable performance compared to extant schemes,which implies that our scheme is practical and closest to real life.

Anisotropic FCGR behaviour in hot-rolled mg-3Al-0.5Ce alloy

In this work,anisotropic fatigue crack growth rate(FCGR)behaviour in a hot-rolled mg-3wt%Al-0.5wt%Ce alloy was investigated using compact tension(CT)specimens with notch(an)parallel to the rolling direction(RD)and transverse direction(TD).The FCGR tests were conducted at a constant load ratio(R=0.1)and maximum stress intensity factor(kmax=15.6 mPa√m)to investigate the crack closure *** both constant R and kmax conditions:(i)the load-displacement curves for every loading cycle were linear for a_(n)∥ to RD and TD,indicating no crack closure;(ii)the FCGR was found to be lower for an∥RD than an∥TD over the entire stress intensity factor range(△k).The hot-rolled sample contained long-aligned Al11Ce3 intermetallic phase within grain boundaries that are elongated along *** the FCGR test,{10.12}extension twins(ET)with lamellae∼⊥and c-axis∼∥to these elongated intermetallics along RD developed irrespective of the notch *** the loading cycle,these intermetallics along RD generate back-stresses,reducing the in-plane tensile stress∼||and∼⊥to crack-tip to∼0 for a_(n)∥to RD and TD,***,lenticular ET∼||⊥and∼||,with c-axis∼||and∼⊥to crack path activates,leading to trans and inter lamellar crack for anto RD and TD,respectively,and anisotropic *** crack in a_(n)∥RD reduces the FCGR due to plastic energy dissipation as perceived by comparatively more geometrically necessary boundaries(GNBs).On the other hand,faster FCGR was obtained for a_(n)∥TD due to interlamellar ***,the crack growth through the matrix-ET interfaces was favoured due to strain *** Fractography for a_(n)∥RD shows smaller elongated grooves along crack propagation,which indicates crack ***,larger elongated grooves for a_(n)||TD indicated easy crack propagation due to favourable interlamellar crack.

Social Edge Service(SES)is an emerging mechanism in the Social Internet of Things(SIoT)orchestration for effective user-centric reliable communication and *** services are affected by active and/or passive attacks such as replay attacks,message tampering because of sharing the same spectrum,as well as inadequate trust measurement methods among intelligent devices(roadside units,mobile edge devices,servers)during computing and *** issues lead to computation and communication overhead of servers and computation *** address this issue,we propose the HybridgrAph-Deep-learning(HAD)approach in two stages for secure communication and ***,the Adaptive Trust Weight(ATW)model with relation-based feedback fusion analysis to estimate the fitness-priority of every node based on directed graph theory to detect malicious nodes and reduce computation and communication ***,a Quotient User-centric Coeval-Learning(QUCL)mechanism to formulate secure channel selection,and Nash equilibrium method for optimizing the communication to share data over edge *** simulation results confirm that our proposed approach has achieved effective communication and computation performance,and enhanced Social Edge Services(SES)reliability than state-of-the-art approaches.

A Batch Arrival Retrial Queue with Two Phases of Service and Bernoulli Vacation Schedule

We consider an mX/G/1 queueing system with two phases of heterogeneous service and Bernoulli vacation schedule which operate under a linear retrial policy. In addition, each individual customer is subject to a control admission policy upon the arrival. This model generalizes both the classical m/G/1 retrial queue with arrivals in batches and a two phase batch arrival queue with a single vacation under Bernoulli vacation schedule. We will carry out an extensive stationary analysis of the system, including existence of the stationary regime, embedded markov chain, steady state distribution of the server state and number of customer in the retrial group, stochastic decomposition and cmculation of the first moment.

Enhanced thermoelectric figure of merit at near room temperature in n-type binary silver telluride nanoparticles

In the present study,we have synthesized Ag2Te nanoparticles using the hydrothermal method and showed significant improvement in the thermoelectric properties compared to the bulk Ag2Te ***2Te nanoparticles showed the highest figure of merit(zT)of 1.37 at 373 k,which is the highest zT reported for this undoped *** high zT in Ag2Te nanoparticles is mainly due to about~2 times higher electrical conductivity(1967 S/cm)and subsequently~2 times lower thermal conductivity(0.53 W/(m$k))as compared to the bulk Ag2Te *** higher electrical conductivity in Ag2Te nanoparticles can be accredited for two reasons(i)better mobility of the charge carrier and(ii)increased carrier *** low thermal conductivity is associated with the enhanced scattering of phonons at the interface of the Ag2Te nanoparticles.

Characterization of Bi2/3Cu3Ti4O12 ceramics synthesized by semi-wet route

Bi2/3Cu3Ti4O12（BCTO） ceramic was synthesized by the semi-wet route using metal nitrate solutions and solid TiO2powder in a stoichiometric ratio. Fourier transform infrared（FTIR） study of BCTO precursor powder and calcined ceramic showed the presence of alcoholic functional groups and the stretching band of Ti-O and Cu-O respectively. X-ray diffraction（XRD）, scanning electron microscope（SEm） and energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy（EDX） were employed to characterize the structure, surface morphology and purity of the sintered BCTO ceramic respectively. X-ray diffraction study confirmed the single phase formation of BCTO ceramic at1073 k. The average dimension of grains calculated by SEm and AFm was found to be in the range of 0.73 ±0.2 μm with clear grain boundaries. magnetic property was investigated over a wide temperature range 2–300 k at a magnetic field of 7 tesla. The Curie temperature was calculated by zero field cooled(mZFC) and field cooled(mFC) magnetization at 100 Oe applied field which was found to be 125 k. The sintered BCTO ceramic shows high dielectric constant（ε'=2.9×10～4） at 323 k and 100 Hz.
