Security Analysis of A Stream Cipher with Proven Properties

Si and Ding proposed a stream cipher with two keys(the first and the second key) and an expected security strength. To further measure the security, we analyze the stream cipher by considering the selective discrete Fourier spectra attack and the fast selective discrete Fourier spectra attack. The two attacks reveal a fact that the second key is more important than the first key, that is, if the second key is leaked out, the first key can be obtained with a lower time complexity than that of the expected security. In addition, we analyze the ability of the stream cipher to resist the guess-anddetermine attack. The results show an attacker is able to gain the two keys with an exponentially improved time complexity and a polynomial data complexity. It implies that we need a securer permutation over finite fields to design a new binary additive stream cipher to achieve the expected security level.

Optimal set of the frequency hopping sequences can be derived from some irreducible cyclic *** paper determines the linear span of the frequency hopping sequences in the optimal set. The linear span is much less than the length of the frequency hopping sequences. In order to improve the linear span, we use two types of permutation polynomials, power permutation and binomial permutation, to transform the optimal set of the frequency hopping sequences. The transformed frequency hopping sequences have optimal Hamming correlation and larger linear span than the original frequency hopping sequences. Compared with the original frequency hopping sequences, the transformed optimal frequency hopping sequences have higher security to resist the cryptanalytic method.

Having the advantages of certificateless signature and the aggregate signature at the same time,certificateless aggregate signature has been widely applied in e-business, e-government and software security since it was proposed in 2007. Although a number of certificateless aggregate signature schemes have been proposed, all of them are based on the classic number theory problem,which are no longer secure in the quantum era. In this paper, a certificateless sequential aggregate signature over number theory research unit lattice is proposed, which is proven to be secure in random oracle model. Moreover,we extend the new scheme into an efficient certificatebased sequential aggregate signature which is also secure in quantum era.

It is widely recognized that the development of ZABs is impeded by the kinetic bottleneck of oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).The application of conformational entropy strategy to oxides often involves introducing multiple elements with different properties,thereby providing outstanding bifunctional catalytic activity for OER/***,the possible underlying catalytic pathways and potential interactions between various components are still poorly *** paper presents an excellent medium-entropy perovskite oxide,Sr(FeCoNiMo)_(1/4)O_(3−δ)(lower overpotential of 301 mV at 10 mA cm^(−2)).Zinc-air batteries employing it as a cathode catalyst demonstrate excellent round-trip efficiency(62%).By combining theoretical calculation with experiments,we aim to establish the link between the electronic structure of perovskite oxides with different elemental compositions and their OER *** reveals that the conformational entropy strategy can simultaneously shift the O 2p-band center and metal d-band center of perovskite oxide towards the vicinity of the Fermi energy level,thereby triggering a more favorable lattice oxygen-participated mechanism(LOM)during the OER *** outcomes of this work provide crucial insights into the role of conformational entropy strategies in oxygen catalysis and offer potential avenues for constructing efficient and stable electrocatalysts.

Because of its wide application in anonymous authentication and attribute-based messaging, the attribute-based signature scheme has attracted the public attention since it was proposed in 2008. However, most of the existing attribute-based signature schemes are no longer secure in quantum era. Fortunately, lattice-based cryptography offers the hope of withstanding quantum computers. And lattices has elevated it to the status of a promising potential alternative to cryptography based on discrete log and factoring, owing to implementation simplicity, provable security reductions and quantum-immune. In this paper, the first lattice attribute-based signature scheme in random oracle model is proposed, which is proved existential unforgeability and perfect privacy. Compared with the current attribute-based signature schemes, our new attribute-based signature scheme can resist quantum attacks and has much shorter public-key size and signature size. Furthermore, this scheme is extended into an attribute-based signature scheme on number theory research unit（NTRU） lattice, which is also secure even in quantum era and has much higher efficiency than the former.

Over the last decade the 3C-based （Chromosome Conformation Capture, 3C） approaches have been developed to describe the frequency of chromatin interaction. The invention of Hi-C allows us to obtain genome-wide chromatin interaction map. However, it is challenging to develop efficient and robust analytical tools to interpret the Hi-C data. Here we present a new method called Clustering based Hi-C Domain Finder （CHDF）, which is based on the difference of interaction intensity inside/outside domains, to identify Hi-C domains. We also compared CHDF with existing methods including Direction Index （DI） and HiCseg. CHDF can define more chromatin domains validated by higher resolution local chromatin structure data （Chromosome Conformation Capture Carbon Copy （5C） data）. Using Hi-C data of lower sequencing depth, chromatin structure identified by CHDF is closer to that discovered by data of higher sequencing depth. Furthermore, the implement of CHDF is faster than the other two. Using CHDF, we are potentially able to discover more hints and clues about chromatin structural elements at domain level.
