A temperature and refractive index sensor based on fiber Bragg grating(FBG) end surface cascade open Fabry-Pérot(FP) cavity has been designed and demonstrated experimentally. The open FP cavity has been fabricated on the end face of an FBG by dislocation fusion in this work, the open FP cavity could be used for refractive index sensing, and the temperature is measured by the FBG. The working principle of the sensor and the method of improving the sensitivity are analyzed by theoretical simulation. The refractive index sensitivity of the sensor is 1 108.4 nm/RIU, while the maximum fluctuation of the sensor stability experiment detection is 0.005 nm. The results show that it has satisfactory characteristics. The sensor is a compact all-fiber structure, so it has potential applications in the field of temperature refractive index sensing, such as biomedical and capacitor electrolyte detection.

Strong anisotropic corrosion and mechanical properties caused by specimen orientations greatly limit the applications of wrought magnesium alloys.To investigate the influences of specimen orientation,the corrosion tests and(corrosion)fatigue crack growth tests were conducted.The rolled and transverse surfaces of the materials show distinct corrosion rate differences in the stable corrosion stage,but the truth is the opposite for the initial stage of corrosion.In air,specimen orientations have a significant influence on the plastic deformation mechanisms near the crack tip,which results in different fatigue fracture surfaces and cracking paths.Compared with R-T specimens,N-T specimens show a slower fatigue crack growth(FCG)rate in air,which can be attributed to crack closure effects and deformation twinning near the crack tip.The corrosion environment will not significantly change the main plastic deformation mechanisms for the same type of specimen.However,the FCG rate in phosphate buffer saline(PBS)is one order of magnitude higher than that in air,which is caused by the combined effects of hydrogen-induced cracking and anodic dissolution.Owing to the similar corrosion rates at crack tips,the specimens with different orientations display close FCG rates in PBS.

Lithium–sulfur(Li–S)batteries are supposed to be one of the most potential next-generation batteries owing to their high theoretical capacity and low cost.Nevertheless,the shuttle effect of firm multi-step two-electron reaction between sulfur and lithium in liquid electrolyte makes the capacity much smaller than the theoretical value.Many methods were proposed for inhibiting the shuttle effect of polysulfide,improving corresponding redox kinetics and enhancing the integral performance of Li–S batteries.Here,we will comprehensively and systematically summarize the strategies for inhibiting the shuttle effect from all components of Li–S batteries.First,the electrochemical principles/mechanism and origin of the shuttle effect are described in detail.Moreover,the efficient strategies,including boosting the sulfur conversion rate of sulfur,confining sulfur or lithium polysulfides(LPS)within cathode host,confining LPS in the shield layer,and preventing LPS from contacting the anode,will be discussed to suppress the shuttle effect.Then,recent advances in inhibition of shuttle effect in cathode,electrolyte,separator,and anode with the aforementioned strategies have been summarized to direct the further design of efficient materials for Li–S batteries.Finally,we present prospects for inhibition of the LPS shuttle and potential development directions in Li–S batteries.

We derive the potential energy of gravity waves(GWs)in the upper troposphere and stratosphere at 45°S-45°N from December 2019 to November 2022 by using temperature profiles retrieved from the Constellation Observing System for Meteorology,Ionosphere,and Climate-2(COSMIC-2)satellite.Owing to the dense sampling of COSMIC-2,in addition to the strong peaks of gravity wave potential energy(GWPE)above the Andes and Tibetan Plateau,we found weak peaks above the Rocky,Atlas,Caucasus,and Tianshan Mountains.The land-sea contrast is responsible for the longitudinal variations of the GWPE in the lower and upper stratosphere.At 40°N/S,the peaks were mainly above the topographic regions during the winter.At 20°N/S,the peaks were a slight distance away from the topographic regions and might be the combined effect of nontopographic GWs and mountain waves.Near the Equator,the peaks were mainly above the regions with the lowest sea level altitude and may have resulted from convection.Our results indicate that even above the local regions with lower sea level altitudes compared with the Andes and Tibetan Plateau,the GWPE also exhibits fine structures in geographic distributions.We found that dissipation layers above the tropopause jet provide the body force to generate secondary waves in the upper stratosphere,especially during the winter months of each hemisphere and at latitudes of greater than 20°N/S.

Purpose:To identify the potential target genes of blast lung injury(BLI)for the diagnosis and treatment.Methods:This is an experimental study.The BLI models in rats and goats were established by conducting a fuel-air explosive power test in an unobstructed environment,which was subsequently validated through hematoxylin-eosin staining.Transcriptome sequencing was performed on lung tissues from both goats and rats.Differentially expressed genes were identified using the criteria ofq≤0.05 and|log2 fold change|≥1.Following that,enrichment analyses were conducted for gene ontology and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathways.The potential target genes were further confirmed through quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay.Results:Observations through microscopy unveiled the presence of reddish edema fluid,erythrocytes,and instances of focal or patchy bleeding within the alveolar cavity.Transcriptome sequencing analysis identified a total of 83 differentially expressed genes in both rats and goats.Notably,49 genes exhibited a consistent expression pattern,with 38 genes displaying up-regulation and 11 genes demonstrating down-regulation.Enrichment analysis highlighted the potential involvement of the interleukin-17 signaling pathway and vascular smooth muscle contraction pathway in the underlying mechanism of BLI.Furthermore,the experimental findings in both goats and rats demonstrated a strong association between BLI and several key genes,including anterior gradient 2,ankyrin repeat domain 65,bactericidal/permeability-increasing fold containing family A member 1,bactericidal/permeability-increasing fold containing family B member 1,and keratin 4,which exhibited up-regulation.Conclusions:Anterior gradient 2,ankyrin repeat domain 65,bactericidal/permeability-increasing fold containing family A member 1,bactericidal/permeability-increasing fold containing family B member 1,and keratin 4 hold potential as target genes for the prognosis,diagnosis,and treatment of BL

Toll like receptors(TLRs)are the main innate immune‘pattern recognition receptors’of animals,which play a central role in host cell recognition and responses to invasive pathogens,particularly common structures of microbial pathogens.In this study,the gene expression profiles of TLRs in the spleen,head kidney,gill,small intestine,liver,muscle,and heart of healthy Paralichthys olivaceus were detected by real-time quantitative PCR(qPCR).The TLR family members were widely expressed in different tissues with different basic expression profiles.The highest expressions of TLR1,5m,7,8,9,14,and 21 were found in the spleen;the highest expressions of TLR3 and TLR21 were found in the gill;the highest expressions of TLR2 and 5s were found in the small intestine.The second highest expressions of TLR3,7,and 8 were found in small intestine.The gene expression profiles of TLRs stimulated with Edwardsiella tarda DNA,RNA,and lipopolysaccharide(LPS)were also detected in spleen,head kidney and gill.TLR9 and TLR21 were sensitive to E.tarda DNA;TLR 8 and TLR21 were sensitive to E.tarda RNA;and TLR1 and TLR14 were sensitive to E.tarda LPS.The expressions of the other TLR genes showed no significant changes.The results imply that the expressions of these TLR genes in P.olivaceus are differently regulated in the whole body and play important roles in the immune response against E.tarda infection.

Globally, most organic-rich shales are deposited with volcanic ash layers. Volcanic ash, a source for many sedimentary basins, can affect the sedimentary water environment, alter the primary productivity, and preserve the organic matter（OM） through physical, chemical, and biological reactions. With an increasing number of breakthroughs in shale oil exploration in the Bohai Bay Basin in recent years, less attention has been paid to the crucial role of volcanic impact especially its influence on the OM enrichment and hydrocarbon formation. Here, we studied the petrology, mineralogy, and geochemical characteristics of the organic-rich shale in the upper submember of the fourth member（Es4～1） and the lower submember of the third member（Es3～3） of the Shahejie Formation, aiming to better understand the volcanic impact on organic-rich shale formation. Our results show that total organic carbon is higher in the upper shale intervals rich in volcanic ash with enriched light rare earth elements and moderate Eu anomalies. This indicates that volcanism promoted OM formation before or after the eruption. The positive correlation between Eu/Eu* and Post-Archean Australian Shale indicates hydrothermal activity before the volcanic eruption. The plane graph of the hydrocarbon-generating intensity（S1+S2） suggests that the heat released by volcanism promoted hydrocarbon generation. Meanwhile, the nutrients carried by volcanic ash promoted biological blooms during Es4～1 and Es3～3 deposition, yielding a high primary productivity. Biological blooms consume large amounts of oxygen and form anoxic environments conducive to the burial and preservation of OM. Therefore, this study helps to further understand the organic-inorganic interactions caused by typical geological events and provides a guide for the next step of shale oil exploration and development in other lacustrine basins in China.

A high-sensitivity low-temperature sensor based on Fabry-Pérot interferometer(FPI)is fabricated and experimentally demonstrated in this letter.The FPI air cavity is fabricated by splicing a single-mode optical fiber(SMF)with a glass capillary tube partially filled with ultraviolet(UV)glue.Due to the high coefficient of thermal expansion of UV-glue,the sensor can obtain high sensitivity.Experimental results show that the sensor has a temperature sensitivity of-3.7534 nm/℃in the temperature range of-4—4℃,and the linearity is 0.999.The engineering performance of the sensor is tested by simulating the frozen soil environment.The proposed sensor has high sensitivity and good temperature response.The sensor structure is compact and simple,low cost and has potential application in the cryogenic detection environment.

站点需求响应的电动模块公交车重组调度优化

传统的电动公交系统受到固定车辆容量等限制,难以通过灵活地调度应对时空不均衡的站点需求。为突破这一瓶颈,基于一种采用耦合/解离操作实现容量动态调整的电动模块车技术,提出考虑站点需求响应的模块化公交重组调度优化模型,可以较好解决乘客在车站的滞留问题。模型以单公交线路为研究对象,通过优化电动模块车在组合站点的容量重组操作和不同班次间的序列决策,旨在最小化包括车辆派遣、运营能耗等多项成本在内的总成本。特别考虑到模块车电池容量较小等特点,调度模型强调了车辆个体的能耗限制和充电计划。针对提出的混合整数非线性规划模型,引入辅助变量将约束中所涵盖的非线性部分转化为线性约束,增强模型的可求解性。采用郑州市电动公交实际运营数据提取的多项参数作为模型输入,将优化后的车辆使用数、系统总成本、未服务乘客的惩罚成本以及充电成本等多项指标与其他2种调度策略进行对比。结果表明:相较于传统电动公交,考虑站点需求响应的模块车调度策略可使系统总成本降低约26.6%,特别是站点间动态容量调整的优势可以使滞留乘客的人数降低95.4%,提高公共交通服务的便民性;与非站点响应的模块车调度模式相比,总成本也降低约7.3%,其中运营和充电成本的减少最为显著。最后展开敏感性分析为实际运营中关于车型选择、电池容量配置以及寻找乘客服务水平和运营经济性二者的均衡点提供了决策依据。
