The deformation mechanism,microstructure evolution,and precipitation behavior of a Mg-8.9Gd-1.8Y-0.5Zr-0.2Ag(wt.%)alloy multi-directionally forged at three different temperatures were *** the forging temperature increases,the particle-stimulated nucleation(PSN)effect diminishes as the num-ber of dynamic precipitates decreases,pyramidal slip is activated,grain boundary migration accelerates,and continuous dynamic recrystallization(CDRX)*** microstructures varied greatly,although fine-grained structures were formed at all different forging *** precipitation be-tween dynamic precipitate growth,dislocation-induced precipitation,and homogeneous precipitation was observed after aging *** them,the medium temperature(748 K)forged and aged alloy ex-hibits the best mechanical performance,with an ultimate tensile strength of 436 MPa,and elongation of 16.3%.The calculation indicates that the mixed precipitation structure containing theβprecipitate band provides a 35%higher strengthening contribution than the typical homogeneously distributed *** formation of precipitation-free zones(PFZs)ensures that aging will not cause a dramatic de-crease in ductility,which provides a reference for the industrial preparation of high-performance wrought Mg-Gd series alloys.

A novel alkalizing strain Enterobacter ***-2 that could resist 400 mg/L Cd was isolated from Cd-contaminated soil,which immobilized 96.05%Cd^(2+)from *** distribution analysis demonstrated that more than half of the Cd^(2+)was converted into extracellular precipitated Cd through mobilization of the alkali-producing mechanism by the strain LYX-2,achieving the high immobilization efficiency of Cd^(2+).Biosorption experiments revealed that strain LYX-2 had superior biosorption capacity of 48.28 mg/g for *** experiments with Brassica rapa *** performed with and without strain *** to control,15.92%bioavailable Cd was converted to non-bioavailable Cd and Cd content in aboveground vegetables was decreased by 37.10%with addition of strain *** Cd was mainly immobilized through extracellular precipitation,cell-surface biosorption and intracellular accumulation of strain LYX-2,which was investigated through Cd distribution,Scanning Electron Microscope and Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy(SEM-EDS),Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FT-IR),X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy(XPS)and Transmission Electron Microscopy(TEM)*** addition,the application of strain LYX-2 significantly promoted the growth of vegetables about *** results indicated that highly Cd-resistant alkalizing strain LYX-2,as a novel microbial passivator,had excellent ability and reuse value to achieve the remediation of Cd-contaminated soil coupled with safe production of vegetables simultaneously.

Surface engineering with polydopamine coatings has been considered a promising surface functionalisation ***,it is difficult to control the self-polymerisation for polydopamine formation,which usually causes severe interparticle *** this study,polydopamine self-polymerisation was controlled by adjusting its reducing environment using a reductant(NaBH4)to fabricate mixed cellulose ester(MCE)/polydopamine *** oxidising environment using NaIO4 was additionally tested as the *** results showed that a thin polydopamine coating with small polydopamine particles was formed on the skeleton frameworks of the MCE membrane with NaBH4,and the self-polymerisation rate was *** polydopamine coating formed in the reducing environment facilitated excellent water transport performance with a water permeance of approximately 400 L·m^(−2)·h^(−1)·bar^(−1) as well as efficient organic foulant removal with a bovine serum albumin rejection of approximately 90%.In addition,the polydopamine coating with NaBH4 exhibited both excellent chemical stability and anti-microbial activity,demonstrating the contribution of the reducing environment to the performance of the MCE/polydopamine *** shows significant potential for use in water purification.

Design and synthesis of low cost and efficacious industrial catalyst for the oxidation of styrene has been an important research ***,ZSM-5 zeolite containing tetrahedral vanadium(V)and Br?nsted acid sites(V-H-ZSM-5)was prepared,and identified by characterizations such as XRD,SEM,UV–vis,NH3-TPD,H2-TPR N2-adsorption/desorption and FTIR.V-H-ZSM-5 performed extremely enhanced catalytic activity for the oxidation of styrene with 30%H2O2 at 40°***,in-situ FTIR spectrum was used to investigate the catalytic *** results demonstrate that Br?nsted acid site could not only increase the adsorption concentration of styrene in the micropores of V-H-ZSM-5 via theπcomplex interaction between double bond of styrene and Br?nsted acid sites,but also increase the oxidation potential of *** synergetic action of tetrahedral vanadium(V)and Br?nsted acid enhanced the catalytic activity for the oxidation of styrene with 30%***,V-H-ZSM-5 performed high reusability within five runs at a low reaction temperature(40°C)for the first time.

Combination of topology optimization and additive manufacturing technologies provides an effective approach for the development of light-weight and high-performance structures.A heavy-loaded aerospace bracket is designed by topology optimization and manufactured by additive manufacturing technology in this *** both mechanical forces and temperature loads,a formulation of thermo-elastic topology optimization is firstly proposed and the sensitivity analysis is derived in *** the procedure of numerical optimization design is presented and the final design is additively manufactured using Selective Laser Melting(SLM).The mass of the aerospace bracket is reduced by over 18%,benefiting from topology and size optimization,and the three constraints are satisfied as well in the final *** work indicates that the integration of thermo-elastic topology optimization and additive manufacturing technologies can be a rather powerful tool kit for the design of structures under thermal-mechanical loading.

Morphological Development of Fuel Droplets after Impacting Biomimetic Structured Surfaces with Different Temperatures

To improve the controllability for the evaporation process of fuel spray impinging on the cylinder wall,an experimental study on the development of morphological process of different fuel droplets on aluminium alloy surfaces is carried *** metal surfaces with different wettability are prepared by laser etching and chemical etching for the *** total,three different fuels are tested and compared under different surface temperatures,including diesel,n-butanol and dimethyl carbonate(DMC).The results show that under a lower wall temperature,the surface wettability,viscosity and surface tension of the fuels have significant effects on spreading and rebounding behaviour of the *** the wall temperature rises over the boiling points of the fuel but below its Leidenfrost temperature,the contact angles between the fuels and surfaces are varying according to the surface wettability,boiling point and Leidenfrost temperature of the *** the temperature of the surface exceeds the Leidenfrost temperature of all the fuels,after impacting the surfaces,different fuel droplets tend to have the same development pattern,regardless of the surface *** rebound level is mainly affected by the amount of fuel vapour generated during the wall-hitting ***,surface tension and other properties of the fuel have little effect on post-impacting behaviour of the droplet when the wall temperature is higher than the Leidenfrost temperature of the fuel.

Ionic liquids(ILs),because of the advantages of low volatility,good thermal stability,high gas solubility and easy recovery,can be regarded as the green substitute for traditional ***,the high viscosity and synthesis cost limits their application,the hybrid solvent which combining ILs together with others especially water can solve this *** with the pure IL systems,the study of the ILs-H_(2)O binary system is rare,and the experimental data of corresponding thermodynamic properties(such as density,heat capacity,etc.)are ***,it is also difficult to obtain all the data through ***,this work establishes a predicted model on ILs-water binary systems based on the group contribution(GC)*** different machine learning algorithms(ANN,XGBoost,LightBGM)are applied to fit the density and heat capacity of ILs-water binary *** then the three models are compared by two index of MAE and R^(2).The results show that the ANN-GC model has the best prediction effect on the density and heat capacity of ionic liquid-water mixed ***,the Shapley additive explanations(SHAP)method is harnessed to scrutinize the significance of each structure and parameter within the ANN-GC model in relation to prediction *** results reveal that system components(XIL)within the ILs-H_(2)O binary system exert the most substantial influence on density,while for the heat capacity,the substituents on the cation exhibit the greatest *** study not only introduces a robust prediction model for the density and heat capacity properties of IL-H_(2)O binary mixtures but also provides insight into the influence of mixture features on its density and heat capacity.
