实验室评价干摩擦轴承的性能通常采用的是单向负荷,而在实际应用中出现的却经常是交变负荷。本实验就交变负荷对轴承性能的主要影响进行了评价。用含聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)的几种衬里对球面轴承进行了摆动试验,并在试验过程中采用了不同的负荷波形。与单向负荷相比,在方波条件下,交变负荷的轴承衬里磨损增加,有的甚至出现了剥层现象。我们对产生剥层的原因进行了讨论。在高温(150℃),低温(-50℃)、高压(344×10~6pa)及轴承被水或其它液压液污染的条件下,方波形交变负荷对轴承性能的损害更为严重。对轴承进行密封似乎能够在某种程度上缓解上述问题。

Study on the Applicability of Landsat-8 Images as a Tool for Monitoring the Trophic State of Lake guiers (Senegal)

In this study, an algorithm to transform LANDSAT 8 images of Lake guiers into chlorophyll-a concentration maps was developed. The objective was to see the feasibility of this method as a mapping tool for monitoring the trophic state of the Lake. The available data are 15 in-situ measurements of the CHL-a content of Lake guiers’ water using a Micro FLU device and images of the lake acquired in 2013 and 2016 by the LANSAT 8 OLI sensor. A series of correlation tests (simple linear functions, multi-variables, or containing two- order terms) were performed between the spectral sensor signal of June 19, 2016 LANSAT 8 image (“corrected” and converted into reflectance) and the CHL-a content of Lake waters measured on the same day of the satellite record. This was, to find the best regression equation that can be inferred to develop an algorithm to transform LANDSAT 8 image into CHL-a concentration maps. The best equation obtained by correlating the ground truths and the reflectance ratios of the visible and near infrared bands (B2, B3, B4 and B5), is as follows: where B2 = Blue band, B3 = green band, B4 = Red band, B5 = NIR band. The obtained R2 is 0.703 (e.g., a correlation coefficientof 0.84), revealed that the measured concentrations are well reproduced by the regression model. Applying this model to the 2013 and 2016 image data revealed the monthly variations of the lake CHL-a contents and their seasonal evolution and interannual variations. The obtained results are quite consistent with those from similar studies and provide valuable information regarding Lake guiers’ vulnerability to algal development. The calculation and analysis of the variability of the CHL-a contents over the study period made it possible to evaluate the trophic state of the Lake, which shows a general tendency for eutrophication process, leading to a progressive degradation of the quality of the water resource.

This work presents the development of a solar regulator which manages the charge and discharge of a (lead) battery installed in a photovoltaic system in order to extend its lifetime. The regulator is controlled by a microcontroller (PIC16F877A) and protects the battery against overcharging, deep discharge, but also against temperature drifts. The operating principle is based on the control of a DC-DC converter by a rectangular signal MLI generated by the microcontroller. In addition to the protection function of the regulator, there is included a control and monitoring panel consisting of a visualization interface on which the system quantities can be observed. Thus, it will be given to the user to be able to act on the system. This display interface uses as a display an LCD screen and LEDs. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the operation of the proposed solar controller.

Design and Realization of a UV-C Based Disinfection Tools Monitored by Mobile Application

In many outbreaks, patients and healthcare workers are particularly at risk from nosocomial infections as a result of non-effective disinfection methods. With increasing incidence of viral infections such as severe acute respiratory syndrome, in one hand, and the increase in the rate of antibiotic resistant bacteria associated with nosocomial infections in other hand, there is a need to design novel engineering tools for inactivation of nosocomial pathogens. Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVgI) is considered as a promising method to inactivate bacteria and viruses. This paper presents UV-C Based disinfection tools monitored by mobile application, designed for hospital and Epidemic Treatment Center. The evolution of the irradiation intensity over time was evaluated, and the theorical disinfection duration for several nosocomial pathogens was determined. In the case of SARS-CoV2, less than 12 minutes were needed to achieve 99.99% viral reduction in a room of 36 sqm.

Negative thermal expansion of gallium arsenide has been investigated through temperature dependent Extended X-ray Absorption Fine Structure (EXAFS) measurements. The bond thermal expansion coefficient αbond has been evaluated and compared to negative expansion coefficient αtens due to tension effects. The overall thermal expansion coefficient is the sum?of?αbond?and αtens. Below 60 K, αtens is greater than αbond? yielding to a negative expansion in this temperature region. Tension effects are progressively overcome by the stretching effects in the region 60 - 300 K. The asymmetry of nearest neighbors distribution is not negligible since the gaussian approximation underestimates the bond expansion by about 0.00426 Å. This error decreases when the temperature is lowered. The accuracy in the thermal expansion evaluation and the connection between third cumulant and thermal expansion are discussed.
