Fish is a highly nutritious food widely consumed around the world. The production of fish for human consumption is from capture fishing and aquaculture activities. Tilapia is considered one of the fish with the highest production worldwide, being a source of quality protein at an affordable price. On the other hand, and in addition to its nutritional properties, fish is highly susceptible to deterioration and contamination, mainly due to its intrinsic properties, making it able to consume it for short periods of time, so to extend its availability, it is subjected to common conservation processes like refrigeration. Therefore, the present study is focused on the analysis of the degree of freshness and quality of tilapia fillet through sensory evaluation during refrigerated storage for 12 days. The results indicated that the tilapia fillet during storage had a grade of first quality from day 0 to 4sup>thsup> of storage recommended for consumption, second quality on the 6sup>thsup> day and out of quality from the 8sup>thsup> of storage, the latter being not recommended for human consumption.

Microalgae are widely used in the pharmaceutical and energy industries,therefore the conditions for their cultivation and extraction methods play an important role in the profiling and acquisition of *** efficiency of lipid extraction from microalgae has attracted great interest from industry because of the wide variety of lipids and amounts that can be *** obliquus(scenedesmus obliquus UTEX 393)was used in this *** was cultivated in Bold 3N medium modified with 75%nitrogen at 25℃,pH 6.8,125 r/min and a photoperiod of 18/6 h and illuminated with white light provided by a Light-Emitting Diode surface Mount Device extensions(LED sMD)with an intensity of 1200μE/(m^(2)·s).The cells were stained with the Red Nile(RN)technique to indicate lipid *** extraction methods were compared,classical,microwave(MW),soxhlet,and ultrasound(Us),using the same solvent proportions(hexane:chloroform:methanol=1:2:3).All samples were analyzed with Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and gas Chromatography coupled to Mass spectrometry(gC-Ms).The results showed:1)lipid production detected by RN was consistent with microalgal growth;2)the MW technique was the best extraction method,according to the statistical analysis through Randomized Complete Block(RCB)design and performance of 4.6%;and 3)the presence of saturated and unsaturated acids was indicated by FTIR ***-Ms was able to identify palmitic and linoleic acids as the likely major constituents of the sample.

The frequent occurrence of exceptionally very heavy rainfall in Mexico during the summer causes flash floods in many areas and major economic losses. As a consequence, a significant part of the annual government budget is diverted to the reconstruction of the disasters caused by floods every year, resulting hold up in the country development. A key element to mitigate the flash flood hazards is the implementation of an early warning system with the ability to process the necessary information in the shortest possible time, in order to?increase structural and non-structural resilience in flood prone regions. The real-time estimation of rainfall is essential for the implementation of such systems and the use of remote sensing instruments that feed the operational rainfall-runoff hydrological models is becoming of increasing importance worldwide. However, in some countries such as Mexico, the application of such technology for operational purposes is still in its infancy. Here the implementation of an operational hydrological model is described for the Mixcoac river basin as part of the non-structural measures that can be applied for intense precipitation events. The main goal is to examine the feasibility of the use of remote sensing instruments and establish a methodology to predict the runoff in real time in urban river basins with complex topography, to increase the resilience of the areas affected by annual floods. The study takes data from weather radar operated by the National Meteorological service of Mexico, as input to a distributed hydrological model. The distributed unit hydrograph model methodology is used in order to assess its feasibility in urban experimental basin. The basic concepts underlying the model, as well as calibration and validation are discussed. The results demonstrate the feasibility of using weather radar data for modeling rainfall-runoff process with distributed parameter models for urban watersheds. A product resulting from this study w

Maintaining standing postural balance is important for walking and handling abilities in patients with cerebral palsy. This study included 23 patients with cerebral palsy （seven with spastic diplegia and 16 with spastic hemiplegia）, aged from 7 to 16 years of age. standing posture balance measurements were performed using an AMTI model OR6-7 force platform with the eyes open and closed. Patients with diplegic cerebral palsy exhibited greater center of pressure displacement areas with the eyes open and greater center of pressure sway in the medial-lateral direction with the eyes open and closed compared with hemiplegic patients, Thus, diplegic patients exhibited weaker postural balance control ability and less standing stability compared with hemiplegic cerebral palsy patients.
