Microstructures of nanoporous Pd are essentially important for its physical and chemical *** this work,we show that the microstructures of nanoporous Pd can be tuned by adjusting compositions of the precursor alloys,and dealloying and heat treatment *** the ligament and pore sizes decrease with increasing the electrochemical potential upon dealloying and the concentration of noble component in the precursor *** treatment causes coarsening of the nanoporous *** a critical temperature,the nanoporous structures are subjected to significant *** the critical temperature,surface diffusion is believed to dominate the coarsening *** the critical temperature,the nanoporous structure coarsens remarkably at a rather high rate,which is ascribed to a multiple-mechanism controlled process.

The eutectic Ag-Cu alloys exhibiting fine Ag-Cu lamellar eutectic structure formed upon rapid solidification have great potentials being used in various engineering ***,the desired fine primary lamellar eutectic structure(PLES)is usually replaced by a coarse anomalous eutectic structure(AES)when the undercooling prior to solidification exceeds a certain *** forming mechanism of AES in the undercooled eutectic Ag-Cu alloy has been a controversial *** this work,the undercooled Ag-39.9 at.% Cu eutectic alloy is solidified under different cooling conditions by using techniques of melt fluxing and copper mold *** results show that the coupled eutectic growth of this alloy undergoes a transition from a slow eutectic-cellular growth(ECg)to a rapid eutectic-dendritic growth(EDg)above a undercooling of 72 K,accompanying with an abrupt change of the distribution and amount of AES in as-solidified *** kinds of primary lamellar eutectic structures are formed by ECg and EDg during recalescence,*** destabilization of PLES that causes the formation of AES is ascribed to two different mechanisms based on the microstructural examination and theoretical *** 72 K,the destabilization of PLES formed by slow ECg is caused by the mechanism of"termination migration"driven by interfacial *** above 72 K,the destabilization of PLES formed by rapid EDg is attributed to the unstable perturbation of interface driven by interfacial energy and solute supersaturation.

Two-dimensional carbon-based materials have shown promising electromagnetic wave absorption capabilities in mid-and high-frequency ranges,but face challenges in low-frequency absorption due to limited control over polarization response mecha-nisms and ambiguous resonance *** this study,we pro-pose a novel approach to enhance absorption efficiency in aligned three-dimensional(3D)MXene/CNF(cellulose nanofibers)cavities by modifying polarization properties and manipulating resonance response in the 3D MXene *** controlled polarization mechanism results in a significant shift of the main absorption region from the X-band to the S-band,leading to a remarkable reflection loss value of-47.9 db in the low-frequency ***,our findings revealed the importance of the oriented electromagnetic coupling in influencing electromagnetic response and microwave absorption *** present study inspired us to develop a generic strategy for low-frequency tuned absorption in the absence of magnetic element participation,while orientation-induced polarization and the derived magnetic resonance coupling are the key controlling factors of the method.

The utilization of stone columns has emerged as a popular ground improvement strategy,whereas the drainage performance can be adversely hampered by clogging *** the ample progress of calculation methods for the consolidation of stone column-improved ground,theoretical investigations into the clogging effect have not been thoroughly ***,it is imperative to involve the column consolidation deformation to mitigate computational error on the consolidation of composite ground with high replacement *** this context,an analytical model accounting for the initial clogging and coupled time and depth-dependent clogging of stone columns is ***,the resulting governing equations and analytical solutions are obtained under a new flow continuity relationship to incorporate column consolidation *** accuracy and reliability of the proposed model are illustrated by degradation analysis and case studies with good ***,the computed results of the current study are juxtaposed against the existing models,and an in-depth assessment of the impacts of several crucial parameters on the consolidation behavior is *** results reveal that ignoring column consolidation deformation leads to an overestimate of the consolidation rate,with maximum error reaching up to 16%as the replacement ratio ***,the initial clogging also has a significant influence on the consolidation ***,the increment of depth and time-clogging factors a and b will induce a noticeable retardation of the consolidation process,particularly in the later stage.

Sparse measurements challenge fault location in distribution *** paper proposes a method for asymmetric ground fault location in distribution networks with limited measurements.A virtual injected current vector is formulated to estimate the fault line,which can be reconstructed from voltage sags measured at a few buses using compressive sensing(CS).The relationship between the virtual injected current ratio(VICR)and fault position is deduced from circuit analysis to pinpoint the ***,a two-stage recovery strategy is proposed for improving reconstruction accuracy of the current vector,where two different sensing matrixes are utilized to improve the *** proposed method is validated in IEEE 34 node test *** results show asymmetric ground fault type,resistance,fault position and access of distributed generators(Dgs)do not significantly influence performance of our *** addition,it works effectively under various scenarios of noisy measurement and line parameter *** on 134 node test feeders prove the proposed method is also suitable for systems with more complex structure.

The worldwide burden of skeletal diseases such as osteoporosis,degenerative joint disease and impaired fracture healing is steadily *** acid(TXA),a plasminogen inhibitor and anti-fibrinolytic agent,is used to reduce bleeding with high effectiveness and safety in major surgical *** its widespread clinical application,the effects of TXA beyond anti-fibrinolysis have been noticed and prompted renewed interest in its *** clinical trials have characterized the effects of TXA on reducing postoperative infection rates and regulating immune responses in patients undergoing ***,several animal studies suggest potential therapeutic effects of TXA on skeletal diseases such as osteoporosis and fracture *** a direct effect of TXA on the differentiation and function of bone cells in vitro was shown,few mechanisms of action have been ***,we summarize recent findings of the effects of TXA on skeletal diseases and discuss the underlying plasminogen-dependent and-independent mechanisms related to bone metabolism and the immune *** furthermore discuss potential novel indications for TXA application as a treatment strategy for skeletal diseases.

To unravel the intricacies of two-phase gas-liquid flow characteristics and heat transfer behavior,an array mini-channel gravity plate heat pipe(AMgPHP)is proposed in this work,which allows for observing the internal changes in the state of the working *** flow patterns such as pool flow,columnar flow,and slug flow,are experimentally explored and analyzed in *** is found that the optimal volume fill ratio is 20%by utilizing start-up time and thermal resistance as performance evaluation *** this fill ratio,a medium optimization strategy by blending ethanol within R141b is proposed and *** comparison to pure working fluids,the heat transfer performance of AMgFHP in the binary fluid has been significantly augmented due to temperature and concentration shifts resulting from disparate boiling *** the 10%volume fraction ethanol blending condition,the equivalent thermal conductivity of the heat pipe is dramatically elevated,with a value of 3110 W/(m·℃),along with the reduction of the minimum start-up power to 4 *** general,applying such a medium to heat pipes has considerable potential in practical applications.

Objective:To explore the effect of oleuropein on sepsis-induced acute lung injury(ALI)in vitro and in vivo and investigate the underlying ***:In an lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-mediated cell model of sepsis-induced ALI and a cecal ligation and puncture-induced mouse model of septic ALI,CCK-8 assay and flow cytometry analysis were used to detect cell activity and *** and relevant assay kits were used to measure the levels of inflammatory cytokines and oxidative stress,*** blot was applied to determine the expression of apoptosis-and AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK)/nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor-2(Nrf-2)/heme oxygenase-1(HO-1)signaling-associated ***-1 staining,adenosine triphosphate(ATP)assay kit,and MitoSOX Red assays were performed to detect mitochondrial membrane potential,ATP content,and mitochondrial ROS formation,***,lung injury was evaluated by measuring lung morphological alternations,lung wet-to-dry ratio,myeloperoxidase content,and total protein ***:Oleuropein reduced inflammatory reaction,oxidative damage,and apoptosis,and ameliorated mitochondrial dysfunction in LPS-exposed bEAS-2b cells and mice with septic ***,oleuropein activated the AMPK/Nrf-2/HO-1 signaling ***,these effects of oleuropein were abrogated by an AMPK inhibitor compound ***:Oleuropein can protect against sepsis-induced ALI in vitro and in vivo by activating the AMPK/Nrf-2/HO-1 signaling,which might be a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of sepsis-induced ALI.
