Ca_(3-x)(PO_(4))_(2):xTb^(3+)(0.2≤x≤0.4),Ca_(2.3)(PO_(4))_(2):0.35 Tb^(3+),0.35 A^(+)(A=Li,Na,K),and Ca_(2.3)(PO_(4))_(2):0.35 Tb^(3+),yLi^(+)(0.35≤y≤0.455)phosphors were prepared by solid-state reaction.All the prepared phosphors formed a rhombohedral unit cell with the R3c space group.To improve the photoluminescence(PL)properties of the Ca_(2.65)(PO_(4))_(2):0.35 Tb^(3+)phosphor,monovalent charge compensators such as Li^(+),NA^(+),and K^(+)were added to the Ca_(2.65)(PO_(4))_(2):0.35 Tb^(3+)phosphor.The charge compensators acted as fluxes,so they improved the crystallinity.The excitation and emission properties were significantly improved through the incorporation of charge compensators.In particular,among the charge compensators,Li^(+)ion substantially enhanced the emission intensity and color purity.Furthermore,considering the evaporation of Li_(2)CO_(3)during the annealing process,we optimized the concentration of Li^(+)charge compensator to enhance its PL performance.Impressively,the green emission intensity of the Ca_(2.3)(PO_(4))_(2):0.35 Tb^(3+),0.385 Li^(+)phosphor was 260%higher than that of the Ca_(2.65)(PO_(4))_(2):0.35 Tb^(3+)phosphor.we believe that the effect of charge compensators on the PL properties and the optimum concentration of Li^(+)cha rge compensator are useful for the design of phosphors in light-emitting diodes.

This paper proposes an empirical wavelet transform(EwT)based method for identification and analysis of sub-synchronous oscillation(SSO)modes in the power system using phasor measurement unit(PMU)data.The phasors from PMUs are preprocessed to check for the presence of oscillations.If the presence is established,the signal is decomposed using EwT and the parameters of the mono-components are estimated through Yoshida algorithm.The superiority of the proposed method is tested using test signals with known parameters and simulated using actual SSO signals from the Hami Power grid in Northwest China.Results show the effectiveness of the proposed EwT-Yoshida method in detecting the SSO and estimating its parameters.

Variability in the location and shape of the dayside magnetopause is attributed to magnetic reconnection,a fundamental process that enables the transfer of mass,energy,and momentum from the solar wind into the magnetosphere.The spatial and temporal properties of the magnetopause,under varying solar and magnetospheric conditions,remain largely unknown because empirical studies using in-situ observations are challenging to interpret.global wide field-of-view(FOV)imaging is the only means to simultaneously observe the spatial distribution of the plasma properties over the vast dayside magnetospheric region and,subsequently,quantify the energy transport from the interplanetary medium into the terrestrial magnetosphere.Two upcoming missions,ESA/CAS SMILE and NASA’s LEXI will provide wide-field imagery of the dayside magnetosheath in soft X-rays,an emission generated by charge exchange interactions between high charge-state heavy ions of solar wind origin and exospheric neutral atoms.High-cadence two-dimensional observations of the magnetosheath will allow the estimation of dynamic properties of its inner boundary,the magnetopause,and enable studies of its response to changes in the solar wind dynamic pressure and interplanetary magnetic field orientation.This work introduces a statistically-based estimation approach based on inverse theory to estimate the spatial distribution of magnetosheath soft X-ray emissivities and,with this,identify the location of the magnetopause over the Sun−Earth line.To do so,we simulate the magnetosheath structure using the MHD-based OpenggCM model and generate synthetic soft X-ray images using LEXI’s orbit and attitude information.Our results show that 3-D estimations using the described statistically-based technique are robust against Poisson-distributed shot noise inherent to soft X-ray images.Also,our proposed methodology shows that the accuracy of both three-dimensional(3-D)estimation and the magnetopause standoff distance calculation highly depends on the observational point.

Early-life stress is associated with a high prevalence of mental illnesses such as post-traumatic stress disorders,attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder,schizophrenia,and anxiety or depressive behavior,which constitute major public health problems.In the early stages of brain development after birth,events such as synaptogenesis,neuron maturation,and glial differentiation occur in a highly orchestrated manner,and external stress can cause adverse long-term effects throughout life.Our body utilizes multifaceted mechanisms,including neuroendocrine and neurotransmitter signaling pathways,to appropriately process external stress.Newborn individuals first exposed to early-life stress deploy neurogenesis as a stress-defense mechanism;however,in adulthood,early-life stress induces apoptosis of mature neurons,activation of immune responses,and reduction of neurotrophic factors,leading to anxiety,depression,and cognitive and memory dysfunction.This process involves the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis and neurotransmitters secreted by the central nervous system,including norepinephrine,dopamine,and serotonin.The rodent early-life stress model is generally used to experimentally assess the effects of stress during neurodevelopment.This paper reviews the use of the early-life stress model and stress response mechanisms of the body and discusses the experimental results regarding how early-life stress mediates stress-related pathways at a high vulnerability of psychiatric disorder in adulthood.

This paper focuses on a newly developed transmission for a milli-scale eight-legged crawling robot called OriSCO.The transmission allows intuitive steering by directly changing the direction of the propulsion force.The transmission is based on the constrained spherical six-bar linkage.The constrained spherical six-bar linkage passes only reciprocating motion out of the motor’s rotating motion,allowing the crawling legs to kick the ground and obtain propulsion.Steering is achieved by adjusting the geometric constraints of the spherical six-bar using a servomotor,allowing the direction of propulsion to be changed.As a result,the OriSCO can move along the ground at a speed of 2.15 body lengths/s,and the robot is 60 mm long.

To determine the cause(s)of perturbations seen in dayside equatorial ground magnetograms,we conducted a systematic survey of simultaneous ground-based and geosynchronous satellite-based observations during the 90-day period from December 1,2020 to February 28,2021.we examined Huancayo ground magnetometer observations from 14:00:00 to 20:00:00 UT each day,during which Huancayo passed through local noon.From those data we chose perturbation events selected on the basis of large(>20 nT)event amplitude and classified the selected events as responding primarily to solar wind pressure,or to variations in the north/south component of the interplanetary magnetic field(IMF Bz),or perhaps in part to both.The results show that an equivalent number of events were identified for each model during this 90-day period.Variations in the lagged solar wind dynamic pressure routinely correspond to nearly simultaneous sudden impulses recorded at both geosynchronous orbit and on the ground.Variations in IMF Bz produce erosion signatures at geosynchronous orbit and can correspond to ground events if lag times for reconnection to enhance convection in the magnetosphere are taken into account.

The recent article published in Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy sheds light on the significance of N6-methyladenosine(m6A)methyltransferase-like protein METTL14 in mitigating the progression of metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD).1 In this study,wang et al.elucidated the downregulation of METTL14 in hepatocytes from both MAFLD patients and high-fat diet(HFD)-induced MAFLD mouse models,underscoring its pivotal role in maintaining hepatic lipid and redox homeostasis in normal livers.

Direct volume rendering(DVR)is a technique that emphasizes structures of interest(SOIs)within a volume visually,while simultaneously depicting adjacent regional information,e.g.,the spatial location of a structure concerning its neighbors.In DVR,transfer function(TF)plays a key role by enabling accurate identification of SOIs interactively as well as ensuring appropriate visibility of them.TF generation typically involves non-intuitive trial-and-error optimization of rendering parameters,which is time-consuming and inefficient.Attempts at mitigating this manual process have led to approaches that make use of a knowledge database consisting of pre-designed TFs by domain experts.In these approaches,a user navigates the knowledge database to find the most suitable pre-designed TF for their input volume to visualize the SOIs.Although these approaches potentially reduce the workload to generate the TFs,they,however,require manual TF navigation of the knowledge database,as well as the likely fine tuning of the selected TF to suit the input.In this work,we propose a TF design approach,CBR-TF,where we introduce a new content-based retrieval(CBR)method to automatically navigate the knowledge database.Instead of pre-designed TFs,our knowledge database contains volumes with SOI labels.given an input volume,our CBR-TF approach retrieves relevant volumes(with SOI labels)from the knowledge database;the retrieved labels are then used to generate and optimize TFs of the input.This approach largely reduces manual TF navigation and fine tuning.For our CBR-TF approach,we introduce a novel volumetric image feature which includes both a local primitive intensity profile along the SOIs and regional spatial semantics available from the co-planar images to the profile.For the regional spatial semantics,we adopt a convolutional neural network to obtain high-level image feature representations.For the intensity profile,we extend the dynamic time warping technique to address subtle alignment differences between similar profiles(SOIs).Final

There are more uncertainties with ice hydrometeor representations and related processes than liquid hydrometeors within microphysics parameterization(MP)schemes because of their complicated geometries and physical properties.Idealized supercell simulations are produced using the wRF model coupled with“full”Hebrew University spectral bin MP(HU-SBM),and NSSL and Thompson bulk MP(BMP)schemes.HU-SBM downdrafts are typically weaker than those of the NSSL and Thompson simulations,accompanied by less rain evaporation.HU-SBM produces more cloud ice(plates),graupel,and hail than the BMPs,yet precipitates less at the surface.The limiting mass bins(and subsequently,particle size)of rimed ice in HU-SBM and slower rimed ice fall speeds lead to smaller melting-level net rimed ice fluxes than those of the BMPs.Aggregation from plates in HU-SBM,together with snow–graupel collisions,leads to a greater snow contribution to rain than those of the BMPs.Replacing HU-SBM’s fall speeds using the formulations of the BMPs after aggregating the discrete bin values to mass mixing ratios and total number concentrations increases net rain and rimed ice fluxes.Still,they are smaller in magnitude than bulk rain,NSSL hail,and Thompson graupel net fluxes near the surface.Conversely,the melting-layer net rimed ice fluxes are reduced when the fall speeds for the NSSL and Thompson simulations are calculated using HU-SBM fall speed formulations after discretizing the bulk particle size distributions(PSDs)into spectral bins.The results highlight precipitation sensitivity to storm dynamics,fall speed,hydrometeor evolution governed by process rates,and MP PSD design.

Objective: Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a condition of insufficient penile erection, consistently or recurrently, for sexual activity. Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) induces transforming growth factor-beta (TgF-β), which causes the transition of epithelial cells into mesenchymal cells that affect ED. This study aimed to evaluate the roles of TNF-α, TgF-β, degree of lower urinary tract symptoms, and prostatic volume for the presence of ED in benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) patients.Methods: Our study performed an analytic observational retrospective cohort study using secondary data from four hospitals in Bali, Indonesia, including medical records and other administrative data. The sample was BPH patients with several history qualifications.Results: Our sample was 83 respondents, ranging from 50 years to 80 years, 61 respondents with ED and 22 with non-ED. The International Prostate Symptom Score showed a significant result, which indicates that ED is more common in patients with higher International Prostate Symptom Score (p=0.002). Moreover, the TNF-α of ≥43.9 pg/mg and TgF-β of ≥175.8 pg/mL were significantly associated with the presence of ED in BPH patients (pgnificant with ED (p=0.947).Conclusion: TNF-α, TgF-β, and lower urinary tract symptoms severity can predict the occurrence of ED in BPH, while prostatic volume was not significant.
