Characteristic properties of date-palm fibre/sheep wool reinforced polyester composites

In this study,we attempted to characterise the effects of date-palm fibre(DPF)and a date-palm fibre/sheep wool hybrid in polyester to enhance high-performance and low-cost composite materials that can be used in insulation building systems,automotive parts,and home *** DPF was treated using 5%NaOH solution;and the sheep wool was cleaned with 50℃hot water and *** composite specimens were prepared with different fibre contents(0%,10%,20%,30%(w))using a compression moulding *** effect of fibre reinforcement was analysed in terms of the mechanical properties(tensile,flexural,impact,and hardness)and composite ***,scanning electron microscopy(SEM)was performed on the fibres before and after treatment,and the fractured surfaces of all composite specimens were examined after tensile *** results showed that the 20%DPF/sheep wool hybrid reinforced polyester produced the best *** ultimate tensile strength and modulus were 27 MPa and 3.69gPa,*** ultimate flexural strength and flexural modulus were 35.4 and 2507 MPa,*** impact strength was 39.5 kJ/m^(2)and the hardness was 64 *** density decreased to the lowest value of 1.02 g/cm^(3)with the 30%DPF/sheep wool *** SEM showed good adhesion and interfacial bonding between DPF/sheep wool hybrid fibres and the polyester matrix,particularly at 20%fibre content.

Security and safety remain paramount concerns for both governments and individuals *** today’s context,the frequency of crimes and terrorist attacks is alarmingly increasing,becoming increasingly intolerable to ***,there is a pressing need for swift identification of potential threats to preemptively alert law enforcement and security forces,thereby preventing potential attacks or violent *** advancements in big data analytics and deep learning have significantly enhanced the capabilities of computer vision in object detection,particularly in identifying *** paper introduces a novel automatic firearm detection surveillance system,utilizing a one-stage detection approach named MARIE(Mechanism for Realtime Identification of Firearms).MARIE incorporates the Single Shot Multibox Detector(SSD)model,which has been specifically optimized to balance the speed-accuracy trade-off critical in firearm detection *** SSD model was further refined by integrating MobileNetV2 and InceptionV2 architectures for superior feature extraction *** experimental results demonstrate that this modified SSD configuration provides highly satisfactory performance,surpassing existing methods trained on the same dataset in terms of the critical speedaccuracy *** these innovations,MARIE sets a new standard in surveillance technology,offering a robust solution to enhance public safety effectively.

Multiple sclerosis(MS)is the most common chronic disease of the central nervous system(CNS)in young adults and represents the first cause of severe handicap,originally non-traumatic(Oh et al.,2018).MS is chara cterized by the infiltration of auto reactive lymphocytes specific to myelin through the blood-brain barrier,which results in the appearance of inflammatory demyelinating lesions caused by the death of the central nervous system myelinating cells,oligodendrocytes(Oh et al.,2018).there is a prevalence sexual with a ratio of three times more affected women than men.

Modeling discrete-time analytical models based on random early detection: Exponential and linear

Congestion control is among primary topics in computer network in which random early detection(RED)method is one of its common ***,RED suffers from drawbacks in particular when its“average queue length”is set below the buffer’s“minimum threshold”position which makes the router buffer quickly *** deal with this issue,this paper proposes two discrete-time queue analytical models that aim to utilize an instant queue length parameter as a congestion *** assigns mean queue length(mql)and average queueing delay smaller values than those for RED and eventually reduces buffers overflow.A comparison between RED and the proposed analytical models was conducted to identify the model that offers better *** proposed models outperform the classic RED in regards to mql and average queueing delay measures when congestion *** work also compares one of the proposed models(RED-Linear)with another analytical model named threshold-based linear reduction of arrival rate(tLRAR).the results of the mql,average queueing delay and the probability of packet loss for tLRAR are deteriorated when heavy congestion occurs,whereas,the results of our RED-Linear were not impacted and this shows superiority of our model.

Every day walking consists of frequent voluntary modifications in the gait pattern to negotiate *** spinal cord injury,stepping over an obstacle becomes *** over an obstacle requires sensorimotor transformations in several structures of the brain,including the parietal cortex,premotor cortex,and motor *** information and planning are transformed into motor commands,which are sent from the motor cortex to spinal neuronal circuits to alter limb trajectory,coordinate the limbs,and maintain *** spinal cord injury,bidirectional communication between the brain and spinal cord is disrupted and animals,including humans,fail to voluntarily modify limb trajectory to step over an ***,in this review,we discuss the neuromechanical control of stepping over an obstacle,why it fails after spinal cord injury,and how it recovers to a certain extent.

Congestion is one of the well-studied problems in computer networks,which occurs when the request for network resources exceeds the buffer *** active queue management techniques such as BLUE and RED have been proposed in the literature to control congestions in early *** this paper,we propose two discrete-time queueing network analytical models to drop the arrival packets in preliminary stages when the network becomes *** first model is based on Lambda Decreasing and it drops packets from a probability value to another higher value according to the buffer *** the second proposed model drops packets linearly based on the current queue *** compare the performance of both our models with the original BLUE in order to decide which of these methods offers better quality of *** comparison is done in terms of packet dropping probability,average queue length,throughput ratio,average queueing delay,and packet loss rate.

An SPH Framework for Earthquake-Induced Liquefaction Hazard Assessment of geotechnical Structures

Chiral phase structure of the sixteen meson states in the SU(3) Polyakov linear-sigma model for finite temperature and chemical potential in a strong magnetic field

In characterizing the chiral phase-structure of pseudoscalar(J^(pc) = 0^(-+)), scalar(J^(pc) = 0^(++)), vector(J^(pc) =1^(--)) and axial-vector(J^(pc) = 1^(++)t) meson states and their dependence on temperature, chemical potential, and magnetic field,we utilize the SU(3) Polyakov linear-sigma model(PLSM) in the mean-field approximation. We first determine the chiral(non)strange quark condensates,σ_l and σ_s, and the corresponding deconfinement order parameters, φ and φ~*, in thermal and dense(finite chemical potential) medium and finite magnetic field. the temperature and the chemical potential characteristics of nonet meson states normalized to the lowest bosonic Matsubara frequency are analyzed. We note that all normalized meson masses become temperature independent at different critical temperatures. We observe that the chiral and deconfinement phase transitions are shifted to lower quasicritical temperatures with increasing chemical potential and magnetic field. thus, we conclude that the magnetic field seems to have almost the same effect as the chemical potential, especially on accelerating the phase transition, i.e. inverse magnetic catalysis. We also find that increasing the chemical potential enhances the mass degeneracy of the various meson masses, while increasing the magnetic field seems to reduce the critical chemical potential, at which the chiral phase transition takes place. Our mass spectrum calculations agree well with the recent PDg compilations and PNJL, lattice QCD calculations, and QMD/UrQMD simulations.

We propose in this paper a prophylactic treatment strategy for a predator-prey *** objective is to fight against the propagation of an infectious disease within two populations,one of which preys on the *** propagation is modeled by means of an SIS(susceptible-infectious-susceptible)epidemic model with vital dynamics and infection propagation in both species through contact and predation,including mortality rates in both populations due directly to the *** strategies are represented by new parameters modeling the uptake rates in the *** analyze the effect of various treatment strategy scenarios(prey only,predator only,or both)via their uptake rates and possible cost structures,on the size of the infected *** illustrate if and when applying such preventive treatments lead to a disease prevalence drop in both *** conduct our study using an optimal control model seeking to minimize the treatment cost(s),subject to the transmission dynamics and predator-prey dynamics.
