Maximum Power Point Tracking(MPPT)is crucial for maximizing the energy output of photovoltaic(PV)systems by continuously adjusting the operating point of the panels to track the point of maximum power production under changing environmental *** work proposes the design of an MPPT system for solar PV installations using the Differential grey Wolf Optimizer(DgWO).It dynamically adjusts the parameters of the MPPT controller,specifically the duty cycle of the SEPIC converter,to efficiently track the Maximum Power Point(MPP).The proposed system aims to enhance the energy harvesting capability of solar PV systems by optimizing their performance under varying solar irradiance,temperature and shading *** results demonstrate the effectiveness of the DgWO-based MPPT system in maximizing the power output of solar PV installations compared to conventional MPPT *** research contributes to the development of advanced MPPT techniques for improving the efficiency and reliability of solar energy systems.

Electrocoagulation process using high current intensity to treat palm oil mill effluent(POME) was investigated in this *** operating parameters such as electrolysis time, inter-electrode distance and initial pH were carried out to determine the efficient process condition on the removal of chemical oxygen demand(COD),biological oxygen demand(BOD) and suspended solids(SS).The highest treatment was achieved at 50 min with the removal efficiencies for COD, BOD and SS obtained as 85%, 83%, and 84%, *** than 50 min treatment showed the fluctuated trends of removal efficiencies which can be considered *** application of higher current resulted in higher removals of organics while the gas bubbles also assisted in removing the pollutant particles by *** an inter-electrode distance study, the removal efficiency decreased when inter-electrode distance was either higher or lower than 10 mm due to the increase of solution resistance and the decrease of anode active surface *** initial pH study, it was found that high removal efficiencies were achieved in slightly acidic POME sample rather than in neutral or basic *** electrocoagulation process by using the optimum operating parameters was able to remove COD, BOD and SS up to 95%, 94% and 96% *** experimental results confirm that application of high current intensity in electrocoagulation provided high treatment efficiency at a reduced reaction time.

AIM:To study the association of colorectal carcinoma(CRC) with diet,smoking,alcohol,physical activity,body mass index,family history and ***: All consecutive patients with CRC confirmed by histopathology diagnosis were included. Age(±5 years) and gender matched controls were selected among the patients admitted in surgery ward for various conditions without any co-existing malignancy. Food frequency questionnaire(FFQ) was developed and validated after pretesting by investigator trained in data col ection techniques. Cases and controls were interviewed ensuring privacy,in similar interview setting,with same duration of time for both cases and controls without any leading question. Biological variables like family history of CRC in first degree relatives,history of diabetes mellitus; behavioral factors like tobacco use both smoking and smokeless form,alcohol consumption and physical activity were recorded. Dietary details were recorded using a FFQ consisting 29 food items with seven categories. Analysis was done using appropriate statistical ***: Ninety-four histopathologically confirmed cases of CRC and equal number of age and gender matched controls treated over a period of two years were studied. Age distribution,mean age,male to female ratio,education level and socioeconomic status were similar in cases and controls. Intake of food items was categorized into tertile due to skewed distribution of subjects as per recommended cut off for consumption of food item. On univariate analysis red meat [OR=7.4(2.935-18.732)],egg [OR=5.1(2.26-11.36)],fish,fried food and oil consumption were found to be risk factors for CRC. On multivariate analysis red meat consumption of more than 2-3 times a month(OR=5.4; 95%CI:1.55-19.05) and egg consumption of more than 2-3 times a week(OR = 3.67; 95%CI:1.23-9.35) were found to be independent risk factors for the development of ***: Egg and red meat consumption found to be independent risk factors for C

growing of tea on sloping land without any soil and water conservation measures causes enormous soil loss especially in the initial *** sound soil and water conservation planning,there is a need to evaluate the various conservation measures as related to the amount of expected runoff and soil *** this context,a field study was conducted in the farmer's field in Nigiris of South India for evaluating the impact of farming methods on soil and water conservation eficiency under new tea plantation One year old B-6 tea clones were planted at double hedge spacing(135 cm×75 cm×75 cm)in two slopes(8-12%and 30-35%)with treatments viz,contour staggered trenches(CST),vegetative barrier(VB),CST alternate with VB,CST with cover crop of beans and farmers'practice of *** runoff(14.6%)was observed from CST with cover crop of beans followed by CST(15.4%)under 8-12%slope range with exactly similar trend in runoff from the plots under 30-35%*** to runof,minimum soil loss was observed from CST(4.9 and 6.9t ha^(-1)yr^(-1))fllowed by CST with cover crop of beans(5.3 and 73 t ha^(-1)yr^(-1))under 8-12%and 30-35%*** CST and CST with cover crop of beans are resulted in better soil moisture under both the slope ranges in comparison to remaining measures as well as farmers'practice of ***,either CST alone or in combination with cover crop of beans are recommended for soil and water conservation under new tea plantation in the hill slopes.

Litsea elliptica Blume leaves have been traditionally used as medicinal herbs because of its antimutagenicity,chemopreventative and insecticidal properties. In this study,the toxic effects of L. elliptica essential oil against Sprague-Dawley rat’s red blood cells (RBCs) were evaluated. L. elliptica essential oil was given by oral gavage 5 times per week for 3 treated groups in the doses of 125,250,and 500 mg/(kg body weight),respectively,and the control group received distilled water. Full blood count,RBC osmotic fragility,RBC morphological changes,and RBC membrane lipid were analyzed 28 d after the treatment. Although L. elliptica essential oil administration had significantly different effects on hemoglobin (Hb),mean cell hemoglobin concentration (MCHC),mean cell volume (MCV),and mean cell hemoglobin (MCH) in the experimental groups as compared to the control group (Pge. L. elliptica induced morphological changes of RBC into the form of echinocyte. The percentage of echinocyte increased significantly among the treated groups in a dose-response manner (Pgroups were significantly lower than those of control group (Pgility and total proteins of RBC membrane findings did not differ significantly between control and treated groups (P>0.05). It is concluded that structural changes in the RBC membrane due to L. elliptica essential oil administration did not cause severe membrane damage.
