Background MicroRnAs(miRnAs)are presented in the uterine lumen of many mammals,and in vitro experiments have determined that several miRnAs are important for the regulation of endometrial and trophoblast *** aim was to identify and contrast the miRnAs present in extracellular vesicles(EVs)in the uterine lumen fluid(ULF)at the onset of attachment in cattle pregnancies(gestation d 18)initiated by artificial insemination(AI)or by the trans-fer of an in vitro-produced blastocyst(IVP-ET).A third group had no conceptus after the transfer of an IVP *** The abundance of 263 annotated miRnAs was quantified in the EVs collected from *** was an increase in the transcript abundance of 20 miRnAs in the ULF EVs from the AI pregnant group,while 4 miRnAs had a lower abundance relative to the group not containing a ***,4 miRnAs were more abun-dant in ULF EVs in the AI pregnant group relative to IVP-ET group(bta-mir-17,bta-mir-7-3,MIR7-1,MIR18A).Specific miRnAs in the ULF EVs were co-expressed with messenger RnAs expressed in extra-embryonic tissues and endome-trium,including genes that are known to be their *** The results provide biological insights into the participation of miRnAs in the regulation of trophoblast proliferation and differentiation,as well as in endometrium *** knowledge that in vitro cultured embryos can contribute to the altered abundance of specific miRnAs in the uterine lumen can lead to the development of cor-rective approaches to reduce conceptus losses during the first month of pregnancy in cattle.

nitrate contamination of groundwater is a worldwide problem, particularly in agricultural countries. Exposure to high levels of nitrates in groundwater can have adverse effects on the health of residents who use groundwater for drinking. This study aims to assess the health risk associated with the ingestion of nitrates in well water in the town of M’bahiakro. Health risk maps were created on the basis of hazard quotients (HQ) using the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) health risk assessment model. The results indicate that residents of the Koko, Dougouba and Baoulekro neighbourhoods, whatever their age, are potentially exposed to the toxic effects of nO3−during their daily intake of nitrate-contaminated well water, with reference to hazard quotients (HQ) greater than 1. nitrate concentrations in the groundwater should therefore be controlled in order to prevent their harmful effects on the health of the population and guarantee its use in rice-growing activities in M’Bahiakro.

nature of light scalars through photon-photon collisions

The surprising thing is that arising almost 50 years ago from the linear sigma model （LSM） with spontaneously broken chiral symmetry, the light scalar meson problem has become central in the nonperturbative quantum chromodynamics （QCD） for it has been made clear that LSM could be the low energy realization of QCD. First we review briefly signs of four-quark nature of light scalars. Then we show that the light scalars are produced in the two photon collisions via four-quark transitions in contrast to the classic P wave tensor qq mesons that are produced via two-quark transitions γγ→qq. Thus we get new evidence of the four-quark nature of these states.

In today’s manufacturing industries,hard competition between rival firms makes it compulsory for researchers to design lighter and cheaper machine components due to the megatrends of cost-effectiveness and *** this point,aluminum syntactic foams(ASFs)are new-generation engineering composites and come into the upfront as a *** to their features like low density,sufficient elongation,and perfect energy absorption ability,these advanced foams have been considerably seductive for many industrial sectors *** this study,an industrial-oriented automatic die casting technology was used for the first time to manufacture the combination of AA7075/porous expanded clay(PEC).Micro evaluations(optical and FESEM)reveal that there is a homogenous particle distribution in the foam samples,and inspections are compatible with the other ASF ***,T6 aging heat treatment was operated on one half of the produced foams to explore the probable impact of aging on the compressive *** results show that PEC particles can be an alternative to expensive hollow spheres used in the previous ***,a favorable relationship is ascertained between the aging treatment and mechanical properties such as compression strength and plateau strength.

当外界扰动频率接近块系岩体的固有频率时,会出现准共振现象。这一现象导致岩块间的弱夹层应变急剧变化,从而加快弱夹层的动态损伤断裂。为了研究块系岩体准共振导致岩块间弱夹层的动态拉压损伤断裂规律,基于块系岩体模型,分析准共振状态下弱夹层的变形特征。结合岩石动态损伤断裂准则,对准共振状态下弱夹层的动态损伤断裂进行理论计算分析,进而研究动态破坏规律。通过数值模拟揭示了准共振状态下块系岩体中弱夹层的损伤演化特征。结果表明:当块系岩体发生准共振现象时,岩块间的相对位移急剧增加,使得弱夹层的应变和损伤程度明显增大;弱夹层的损伤程度在准共振频率下最高,同时受外部扰动力和弱夹层的刚度、黏性、厚度及岩块质量等系统参数的影响;块系岩体发生准共振时断裂应力增大,但从断裂到完全破坏的时间明显缩短,即残余承载能力大幅下降。该研究对认识块系岩体的动态断裂具有一定的参考价值。

The extensive use of polymeric materials in single-use packaging has driven the need to develop biodegradable *** study investigates the incorporation of graphene oxide(gO)and Moringa oleifera seed oil(MOSO)into a gelatin matrix to create polymer films and evaluate their potential as active packaging *** properties of these films were evaluated using structural,thermal,mechanical,optical,and physicochemical methods to determine their suitability for food packaging *** results showed that gO and MOSO were homogeneously dispersed in the gelatin matrix,forming colloidal particles(around 5μm in diameter).The addition of gO increased opacity by approximately 20 times the base value while MOSO affected light transmittance without impacting *** properties were affected differently,gO acted as a crosslinking agent reducing elongation and increasing tensile strength at break,on the other hand MOSO acted as a plasticizer,making films more plastic increasing elongation a 30%.These effects counteracted each other,and similar behavior was recorded in differential scanning *** films exhibited an improved water vapor resistance,which is crucial for food *** findings indicate that the incorporation of gO and MOSO into a gelatin matrix may produce biodegradable polymer films with enhanced properties,suitable for active packaging in the food industry.

Influence of Fermentation and Drying Practices on the Ochratoxin A Content of Cocoa Beans from the Main Production Areas in Côte d’Ivoire

Côte d’Ivoire has been the world’s leading producer of cocoa beans for several decades. Apart from this production performance, the quality of the beans, which are mainly exported to the major chocolate-making countries, presents a quality problem to the point of suffering a discount on the international market. One of these quality problems is the content of ochratoxin A, a mycotoxin produced by fungi. Finally, to verify the level of contamination in beans produced in Côte d’Ivoire, a study was carried out. It consisted of collecting information on fermentation and drying times (The two major post-harvest operations) and collecting beans, which were analyzed by electrophoresis using the High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method. The results obtained show ochratoxin A contents of between 0.05 µg/kg and 0.17 µg/kg. The general level of contamination is therefore very low and below the tolerable limit which is 2 µg/kg. In addition, the correlative study between the fermentation and drying times of the beans revealed no significant influence (p n of these operations on the level of ochratoxin A contamination. Major contamination can occur after post-harvest activities carried out by producers. This is certainly due to the development of fungi responsible for the production of ochratoxin A during the period of storage and marketing of cocoa beans in conditions of high humidity in storage enclosures. Producers need to be made more aware of the need to ensure that cocoa beans are properly dried and stored in dry areas to avoid moisture build-up, which is a source of mould growth and ochratoxin A production.
