The uncertainties associated with multi-area power systems comprising both thermal and distributed renewable generation(DRg)sources such as solar and wind necessitate the use of an efficient load frequency control(LFC)***,a hybrid version of two metaheuristic algorithms(arithmetic optimization and African vulture’s optimization algorithm)is *** is called the‘arithmetic optimized African vulture’s optimization algorithm(AOAVOA)’.This algorithm is used to tune a novel type-2 fuzzy-based proportional–derivative branched with dual degree-of-freedom proportional–integral–derivative controller for the LFC of a three-area hybrid deregulated power ***,electric vehicle(EV),and DRg sources(including a solar panel and a wind turbine system)are con-nected in ***-2 involves thermal and gas-generating units(gUs),while thermal and geothermal units are linked in *** restrictions such as thermo-boiler dynamics,thermal-governor dead-band,and genera-tion rate constraints are also *** proposed LFC method is compared to other controllers and optimizers to demonstrate its superiority in rejecting step and random load *** functioning as energy storage ele-ments,EVs and DRg units can enhance dynamic responses during peak *** a result,the effect of the afore-mentioned units on dynamic reactions is also *** validate its effectiveness,the closed-loop system is subjected to robust stability analysis and is compared to various existing control schemes from the *** is determined that the suggested AOAVOA improves fitness by 40.20%over the arithmetic optimizer(AO),while fre-quency regulation is improved by 4.55%over an AO-tuned type-2 fuzzy-based branched controller.

According to a World Health Organization(WHO)report,the world has experienced more than 766 million cases of positive SARS-CoV-2 infection and more than 6.9 million deaths due to COVID through May *** WHO declared a pandemic due to the rapid spread of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)virus,and the fight against this pandemic is not over *** reasons for virus spread include the lack of detection kits,appropriate detection techniques,delay in detection,asymptomatic cases and failure in mass *** the last 3 years,several researchers and medical companies have introduced successful test kits to detect the infection of symptomatic patients in real time,which was necessary to monitor the ***,it is also important to have information on asymptomatic cases,which can be obtained by antibody testing for the SARS-CoV-2 *** this work,we developed a simple,advantageous immobilization procedure for rapidly detecting the SARS-CoV-2 spike ***-MEMS-derived glassy carbon(gC)is used as the sensor electrode,and the detection is based on covalently linking the SARS-CoV-2 antibody to the gC *** was used as a cross-linker between the antibody and glassy carbon electrode(gCE).The binding was investigated using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)characterization and cyclic voltammetric(CV)*** impedance spectroscopy(EIS)was utilized to measure the change in total impedance before and after incubation of the SARS-CoV-2 antibody with various concentrations of SARS-CoV-2 spike *** developed sensor can sense 1 fg/ml to 1µg/ml SARS-CoV-2 spike *** detection is label-free,and the chances of false positives are *** calculated LOD was~31 copies of viral RNA/*** coefficient of variation(CV)number is calculated from EIS data at 100 Hz,which is found to be 0.398%.The developed sensor may be used for mass screening because it is cost-effective.

This research introduces a challenge in integrating and cleaning the data,which is a crucial task in object *** the object is detected and then measured,the vibration at different light intensities may inﬂuence the durability and reliability of mechanical systems or structures and cause problems such as damage,abnormal stopping,and *** research failed to improve the accuracy rate and the computation time in tracking an object and in the vibration *** solve all these problems,this proposed research simpliﬁes the scaling factor determination by assigning a known real-world dimension to a predetermined portion of the image.A novel white color sticker of the known dimensions marked with a color dot is pasted on the surface of an object for the best result in the template matching using the Improved Up-Sampled Cross-Correlation(UCC)*** vibration measurement is calculated using the Finite-Difference Algorithm(FDA),a machine vision systemﬁtted with a macro lens sensor that is capable of capturing the image at a closer range,which does not affect the quality of displacement measurement from the video ***ﬁeld test was conducted on the TAFE(Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited)tractor parts,and the percentage of error was recorded between 30%and 50%at very low vibration values close to zero,whereas it was recorded between 5%and 10%error in most high-accelerations,the essential range for vibration ***,the suggested system is more suitable for measuring the vibration of stationary machinery having low frequency *** use of a macro lens enables to capture of image frames at very close-ups.A 30%to 50%error percentage has been reported when the vibration amplitude is very ***,this study is not suitable for Nano vibration analysis.

Drug-eluting stents: is it the beginning of the end for coronary artery bypass surgery?

Myocardial revascularization therapy of coronary artery disease is one of the most important medical advances of the past 50 years.1 Coronary revascularization by either bypass surgery or coronary angioplasty relieves angina and may improve the prognosis in patients with coronary artery disease.2,3 Randomized comparisons reveal no difference in survival free from myocardial infarction (MI) between surgery and balloon angioplasty.4,5 Stenting significantly improved the long-term outcome, while surgery is still associated with fewer reinterventions during follow-up.6-10 However, subsequent improvements in both percutaneous and surgical techniques may now limit the validity of any conclusions that have been drawn from the earlier studies. In fact, the lines of demarcation for patients suited for bypass or angioplasty are becoming blurry with each passing day.

Emergency off-pump coronary artery surgery

Background Off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting is fast-becoming a procedure of choice for elective revascularization in high-risk patients with multi-vessel coronary artery disease. However,the role of off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting for patients with acute coronary syndromes requiring emergency revascularization still requires validation. We present our experience to show the feasibility of off-pump coronary artery surgery as an emergency revascularization technique. Methods From April 2001 to September 2003,emergency (operation within 24 hours after hospitalization) coronary artery bypass grafting without cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) was performed in 66 patients with a mean age of (66.9±5.4) years (range 49-72 years). They presented acute coronary syndromes with 38 patients on platelet glycoprotein Ⅱb/Ⅲa receptor antagonists. All patients underwent off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery via sternotomy with the intention of complete coronary *** An average of 2.9 grafts per patient were performed and the posterior descending artery and marginal branches of the circumflex artery were grafted in 83.3% of the patients. There were 4 events of intraoperative cardiac instability, precipitated by occlusion of right coronary artery or positioning of a cardiomegaly heart,leading to immediate conversion to CPB. The mortality rate was 3% (2/66). Two patients suffered postoperative stroke while three needed hemofiltration for acute renal failure. Post surgery elective coronary angiography (n=46) showed no significant *** Emergency off-pump coronary artery surgery with complete revascularization is feasible in patients with acute coronary syndrome with low morbidity and mortality and excellent early results.

Effective bond of cement sheath to casing or formation depends on higher tensile strength and lower young's modulus which are a measure of its ability to withstand deformation under load without *** work utilized Ethylene Vinyl Acetate(EVA)redispersible polymer powder as additive in the class g cement to characterize bonding *** strength was measured for samples cured at 90°C for 3 days,whereas compressive strength was measured for samples cured at 120°C for 1 day and 3 days under atmospheric *** results showed that,with the addition of beyond 10% by weight of cement(BWOC)of polymer,not only tensile strength was improved,but also reduced young's *** of EVA additive beyond 10% BWOC showed significant benefit of flexibility in the cement ***(Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy)indicated that presence of high VA(Vinyl Acetate)has no effect on polymerization of Silicates,which shows it does not hider in the formation of C–S–H *** of chemical bond augmented with longer curing time and increased polymer content,as seen in O–H stretching vibration at 3434 cm^(−1) and from Carboxylate anion at 1571 cm^(−1) to confirm on *** Intrusion porosimeter(MIP)showed significant reduction in fraction of mesopore sizes within the cement matrix,with the polymer addition.
