Insulin-like growth factor-bindin g proteins (IgFBPs) are critical regulators of the mitogenic activity of insulin-like growth factors (IgFs). IgFBP5, one of these IgFBPs, has special structural features, including a nuclear transport domain, heparin-binding motif, and IgF/extracellular matrix/acid-labile subunit-binding sites. Furthermore, IgFBP5 has several functional effects on carcinogenesis and even normal cell processes, such as cell growth, death, motility, and tissue remodeling. These biological effects are sometimes related with IgF (IgF-dependent effects) and sometimes not (IgF-independent effects). The functional role of IgFBP5 is most likely determined in a cell-type and tissue-type specific manner but also depends on cell context, especially in terms of the diversity of interacting proteins and the potential for nuclear localization. Clinical findings show that IgFBP5 has the potential to be a useful clinical biomarker for predicting response to therapy and clinical outcome of cancer patients. In this review, we summarize the functional diversity and clinical importance of IgFBP5 in different types of cancers.

Proposing new statistical distributions which are more flexible than the existing distributions have become a recent trend in the practice of distribution *** often search for new and appropriate statistical models to address data related to financial and risk management *** the present study,an extension of the Lomax distribution is proposed via using the approach of the weighted T-X family of *** mathematical properties along with the characterization of the new model via truncated moments are *** model parameters are estimated via a prominent approach called the maximum likelihood estimation method.A brief Monte Carlo simulation study to assess the performance of the model parameters is *** application to medical care insurance data is provided to illustrate the potentials of the newly proposed extension of the Lomax *** comparison of the proposed model is made with the(i)Two-parameter Lomax distribution,(ii)Three-parameter models called the half logistic Lomax and exponentiated Lomax distributions,and(iii)A four-parameter model called the Kumaraswamy Lomax *** statistical analysis indicates that the proposed model performs better than the competitive models in analyzing data in financial and actuarial sciences.

The paper describes 3D numerical Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) model and approximate sector approach for viscous turbulent flow through flow path of one stage axial supercharge gas turbine of marine diesel engine. Computational data are tested by comparison with experimental data. The back step flow path opening and tip clearance jet are taken into *** approach could be applied for variety of turbine theory and design tasks: for offer optimal design in order to minimize kinetic energy stage losses; for solution of partial supply problem; for analysis of flow pattern in near extraction stages; for estimation of rotational frequency variable forces on blades; for sector vane adjustment (with thin leading edges mainly), for direct flow modeling in the turbine etc. The development of this work could be seen in the direction of unsteady stage model application.

Effect of Yttrium Addition on Microstructural Characteristics and Superplastic Behavior of Friction Stir Processed ZK60 Alloy

As-extruded ZK60 and ZK60-Y magnesium alloy plates were successfully processed via friction stir processing （FSP） at a tool rotation rate of 1600 r/rain and a traverse speed of 200 mm/min. FSP resulted in the formation of equiaxed recrystallized microstructures with the average grain sizes of ,-8.5 and -4.7 μm in the ZK60 and ZK60-Y alloys, respectively. Moreover, FSP broke and dispersed the MgZn2 and W-phase （Mg3Zn3Y2） particles and dissolved MgZn2 phase in the FSP ZK60 alloy. With the addition of rare earth element yttrium （Y） into the ZK60 alloy, the ratio of the high angle grain boundaries （HAgBs） in the FSP alloys increased from 64% to 90%, and a certain amount of twins appeared in the FSP ZK60-Y alloy. The maximum elongation of 1200% and optimum strain rate of 3 X 10-3 s-1 achieved at 450 °C in the FSP ZK60-Y alloy were substantially higher than those of the FSP ZK60 alloy. This is attributed to the fine grains with high ratio of HAgBs and the distribution of a large number of dispersed second phase particles with high thermal stability in the FSP ZK60-Y alloy. grain boundary sliding was identified as the primary deformation mechanism in the FSP ZK60 and ZK60-Y alloys from the superplastic data analyses and surficial morphology observations.

Data from spacecrafts suggest that space plasma has an abundance of suprathermal particles which are controlled by the spectral index κ when modeled on kappa particle velocity distribution. In this paper, considering homogeneous plasma, the effect of integer values of κ on the damping rate of an obliquely propagating magnetosonic（MS） wave is studied. The frequency of the MS wave is assumed to be less than ion cyclotron frequency, i.e.,iw（28）w. Under this assumption, the dispersion relation is investigated both numerically and analytically, and it is found that the real frequency of the wave is not a sensitive function of κ, but the imaginary part of the frequency is. It is also shown that for those values of κ where a large number of resonant particles participate in wave–particle interaction, the wave is heavily damped, as expected. The possible application of the results to the solar wind is discussed.

We derive two new retarded solutions in the teleparallel theory equivalent to general relativity （TEgR）. One of these solutions gives a divergent energy. Therefore, we use the regularized expression of the gravitational energymomentum tensor, which is a coordinate dependent. A detailed analysis of the loss of the mass of Bondi space-time is carried out using the flux of the gravitational energy-momentum.

Nitrogen oxides（NOx：NO,NO2）are a concern due to their adverse health *** engine transport sector is the major emitter of *** regulations have been strengthened and to comply with them,one of the two methods commonly used is the selective catalytic reduction of NOxby NH3（NH3-SCR）,NH3being supplied by the in-situ hydrolysis of *** and durability of the catalyst for this process are highly *** is evaluated by hydrothermal treatment of the catalysts at temperature above 800℃.In this study,very active catalysts for the NH3-SCR of NOxwere prepared by using a silicoaluminophosphate commercial zeolite as copper host *** by X-ray diffraction（XRD）,scanning electron microscopy（SEM）and temperature programmed desorption of ammonia（NH3-TPD）showed that this commercial zeolite was hydrothermally stable up to 850℃ and,was able to retain some structural properties up to950℃.After hydrothermal treatment at 850℃,the NOxreduction efficiency into NH3-SCR depends on the copper *** catalyst with a copper content of 1.25 wt.%was the most *** difference in activity was much more important when using NO than the fast NO/NO2reaction mixture.

We discuss a hardship in synthesis of heaviest super heavy elements in massive nuclei reactions due to the hindrance to complete fusion of reacting nuclei caused on the onset of quasifission process which strongly competes with complete fusion and due to the strong increase of fission yields along the de-excitation cascade of the compound nucleus in comparison with the evaporation residue *** hindrance to formation of compound nucleus and evaporation residue is determined by the characteristic of the entrance channel.
