Prediction model for corrosion rate of low-alloy steels under atmospheric conditions using machine learning algorithms

This work constructed a machine learning(Ml)model to predict the atmospheric corrosion rate of low-alloy steels(lAS).The material properties of lAS,environmental factors,and exposure time were used as the input,while the corrosion rate as the output.6 dif-ferent Ml algorithms were used to construct the proposed *** optimization and filtering,the eXtreme gradient boosting(Xg-Boost)model exhibited good corrosion rate prediction *** features of material properties were then transformed into atomic and physical features using the proposed property transformation approach,and the dominant descriptors that affected the corrosion rate were filtered using the recursive feature elimination(RFE)as well as XgBoost *** established Ml models exhibited better predic-tion performance and generalization ability via property transformation *** addition,the SHapley additive exPlanations(SHAP)method was applied to analyze the relationship between the descriptors and corrosion *** results showed that the property transformation model could effectively help with analyzing the corrosion behavior,thereby significantly improving the generalization ability of corrosion rate prediction models.

In order to lower the usage of expensive Cyanex 923 and increase the extraction capacity of the system of Cextrant 230,the synergistic extraction of thorium from chloride media by a mixture of Cextrant 230 and Cyanex 923 was *** maximum synergistic enhancement coefficient(R)of 1.53 is obtained at 1:1 molar ratio of Cextrant 230/Cyanex *** syne rgistic extracted species of Th^(4+)is determined as ThCl_(4)·2Cextrant 230·Cyanex *** synergistic extraction of Th^(4+)is an entropy-driven exothermic *** loading capacity of 0.60 mol/l mixed extractant for thorium is about 17.10 g/l(calculated as ThO_(2)),and the loaded thorium in the organic phase can be effectively stripped by distilled *** comparison,rare earth cations are barely extracted under the similar conditions,suggesting that the mixtures can be applied to separate thorium from rare earths.A cascade extraction process was developed based on the synergistic extraction system to separate thorium from the hydrochloric acid leaching of *** content of thorium in the leaching solution decreases obviously from 19.90 mg/l to1.4μg/l by 3 stages of extraction,which is superior to sole Cextrant 230 or Cyanex *** introduction of Cextrant 230 into the extraction system not only lowers the usage of Cyanex 923 but also enhances the selective extraction of thorium at low acidity,implying that the synergistic extraction system can selectively extract thorium more efficiently and economically than the sole systems.

Chiral pollutants often pose significant differential environmental health *** this study,the biotransformation of chiral dinotefuran(DIN)and its enantioselective metabolic toxicity mechanisms have been systemically ***,reversedphase chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry was developed to quantify the content of DIN R/S chiral enantiomer with pg level sensitivity,revealing a lower elimination rate constant(K_(e))of S-DIN(0.730 h^(-1))than R-DIN(0.746 h^(-1)).Secondly,the interaction mechanism between DIN metabolism and important endogenous bioactive molecules,such as aldehyde oxidase(AOX)and neurotransmitters,was *** DIN nitro-group was converted into a guanidine group by the reducing site of nearby flavin adenine dinucleotide(FAD)in AOX with the preferred higher affinity of ***,the endogenous tryptophan(Trp)aldehyde metabolic intermediate,5-hydroxyindoleacetaldehyde(5-HIAl),provides a persistent electron donor for DIN reduction via the oxidation-catalyzed site in AOX,resulting in remarkable up-regulation of monoamine neurotransmitters such as serotonin and ***,the higher level of neurotransmitters further mediated dysregulation of oxylipin homeostasis via the serotonergic pathway,where S-DIN exhibited more pronounced liver lipid damage and environmental health risk with the accumulated lipid biomarkers,oxidized triglyceride(OxTg)and oxidized sphingomyelin(OxSM).This study elucidates the AOX-mediated enantioselectivity metabolic pathway of DIN,providing a new analytical method for chiral pollutants and paves the way for their health risk assessments.

The cell membrane is a critical barrier for cellular homeostasis,integral to signaling and intercellular communication,and vital for understanding cellular functions and disease *** its microenvironment is crucial for uncovering the molecular basis of physiological and pathological processes associated with the cell membrane,driving the development of bioanalytical toolkits capable of dynamically monitoring the cell surface *** the continuous advancement of functional nucleic acids and dynamic DNA nanotechnology,DNA nanodevices with controllable nanosized geometry,specific molecular recognition,and selective membrane-localization properties offer a versatile platform for probing the cell membrane *** this review,we summarize the current biosensing and membrane-anchoring mechanisms of DNA nanodevices and highlight their use in studying key cell membrane events,including membrane lipid dynamics,transmembrane transport,receptor dimerization,and signal ***,we discuss the challenges and potential future applications of DNA nanodevices in advancing cell membrane biology research and biomedical applications.

Inhibitors are important for flotation separation of quartz and *** this study,a novel combined inhibitor was used to separate quartz and feldspar in near-neutral *** inhibition of the combined inhibitor was assessed by micro-flotation *** a series of detection methods were used to detect differences in the surface properties of feldspars and quartz after flotation reagents and put forward the synergistic strengthening *** outcomes were pointed out that pre-mixing combined inhibitors were more effective than the addition of Ca^(2+)and SS in sequence under the optimal proportion of 1:5.A concentrate from artificial mixed minerals that was characterized by a high quartz grade and a high recovery was acquired,and was found to be 90.70wt% and 83.70%,*** was demonstrated that the combined inhibitor selectively prevented the action of the collector and feldspar from Fourier-transform infrared(FT-IR)and adsorption capacity *** results of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)indicated that Ca^(2+)directly interacts with the surface of quartz to increase the adsorption of *** contrast,the chemistry property of Al on the feldspar surface was altered by combined inhibitor due to Na^(+)and Ca^(2+)taking the place of K^(+),resulting in the composite inhibitor forms a hydrophilic structure,which prevents the adsorption of the collector on the surface of feldspar by interacting with the Al active *** combination of Ca^(2+)and SS synergically strengthens the difference of collecting property between quartz and feldspar by collector,thus achieving the effect of efficient separation.A new strategy for flotation to separate quartz from feldspar in near-neutral pulp was provided.

Paclitaxel(PTX),methotrexate(MTX),and 5-fluorouracil(5-FU)are commonly-used small molecule anti-tumor drugs for breast ***,drug resistance occurs with long-term treatment or excessive use,and the high concentrations of PTX,MTX,and 5-FU in patients may lead to side effects with dose-limiting toxicities,such as myelosuppression,hepatotoxicity,and peripheral ***,concentration monitoring of PTX,MTX,and 5-FU in clinical treatment is very *** prepared highly sensitive and specific monoclonal antibodies using several haptens,and established a multiple paper-based sensor utilizing optical signals of gold nanoparticles,which simultaneously detected PTX,MTX,and 5-FU in human plasma or urine with 10 min.A portable scanner for quantitative detection in plasma and urine samples was used,and the calculated limit of detection(clOD)values were 0.002 and 0.142μg/ml for PTX,0.187 and 0.976 ng/ml for MTX,and 0.057 and 0.128μg/ml for 5-FU,*** the recovery test,the recovery rates and the coefficient of variation were 85.84%–108.81%and 1.23%–8.80%,respectively,indicating the reliability and accuracy of the multiple gold immunochromatographic strip(gIS).In addition,for the determination of collected clinical plasma samples,the correlation between the test data of the multiple gIS and liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry(lC–MS/MS)was ***,the developed multiple gIS could be applied to the rapid detection of PTX,MTX,and 5-FU in different clinical samples.

Structural Characterization of Chloroplast genome in Alpinia japonica (Thunb.) Miq., a Medicinal Plant of the genus Alpinia

The analysis of chloroplast gene characteristics in Alpinia japonica (Thunb.) Miq. is of great significance fi cance for developing relevant genetic resources. The high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatic research were performed to analyze the chloroplast genome characteristics of A. japonica. . The total chloroplast genome length of A. japonica was 161,906 bp, with a typical circular tetrameric structure. And 133 genes were annotated, comprising 87 protein-coding, 38 tRNA, and 8 rRNA genes. Furthermore, 22 genes contained two copies, and 18 genes owned introns. Repeat sequence analysis showed that it contains 321 simple sequence repeats (SSRs) and 37 long segment repeats. Compared with the chloroplast genomes of eight representative plants in the genus Alpinia, , the gene structure, type, and quantity were relatively conservative. Rps12 was the highest variation site in the entire chloroplast gene. A phylogenetic tree showed that the genus Alpinia was the most closely related to the genus Amomum. . Meanwhile, A. japonica is the most closely related to Alpinia chinensis belonging to the genus Alpinia. . Overall, the chloroplast genome of a new species was reported in the genus Alpinia, , and a basis was provided for the utilization of Alpinia plants as a medical resource.
