揭示隐藏于复杂中的简单性相关的特殊对称性是核理论研究的"圣杯",回顾了其探索历史和当前利用高性能计算设备及应用数学方法进行的从头计算无芯壳模型研究。作为对称性主导无芯壳模型(SA-NCSM)计算的实例,通过对轻核和中重质量区核素的能谱计算及与实验结果的比较,清晰地展示了群论在揭示这些当今最先进计算手段得到结果中所起的重要作用。作为SA-NCSM的有趣推广,从头引入形变的新方法提供了解决所有以探索原子核的集体性质为目的的从头计算方法都要面对的模型空间维数呈组合数增长的处理手段,并且该方法使本理论能用于描述重核及奇特核。

Stability of Macroscopic Binary Systems

The Darwin instability effect in the binary systems(di-planets, di-stars, and di-galaxies) is analyzed within the model based on the Regge-like laws. All possible binary stars are found satisfying the Darwin instability condition that requires to search for other mechanism triggering the merger of the contact binary objects. New analytical formulas are obtained for the orbital rotation period and the relative distance between components of the binary system. The decreasing and increasing periods as functions of mass asymmetry are related, respectively, with the non-overlapping and overlapping stage of the binary object evolution.

Scanning Mode Application of Neutron-gamma Analysis for Soil Carbon Mapping

Soil carbon mapping is extremely useful in assessing the effect of land management practices on soil carbon storage. Applications of neutron-gamma analysis in scanning mode for mapping of soil carbon are discussed. A global Positioning System(gPS) device and softwares required to simultaneously acquire gamma signals and geographical positions during scanning operations were added to an existing measurement system. The reliability of soil carbon measurements in scanning mode was demonstrated to be in agreement with results acquired from static mode. The error analysis indicated that scanning measurements can be conducted with the same accuracy as static measurements in approximately one fourth the time. To obtain results suitable for mapping analogous to traditional chemical analyses(i.e.,± 0.5 in weight percent or ± 0.5 w%), scanning time over a given site should be ca. 15 min using the current measurement system configuration. Based on this measurement time, a reasonable towing speed of 3–5 km h^-1, the necessity for complete site coverage during scanning, the number of sites(within the surveyed field), and the required total measurement time can be estimated. Soil carbon measurements for 28 field sites(total area ca. 2.5 ha) were conducted in ca. 8 h. Based on acquired data,a soil carbon distribution map was constructed utilizing various softwares. The surveyed field area included an asphalt road that had carbon readings higher than the surrounding land. The clarity with which these carbon-rich zones were delineated on the constructed map represents evidence supporting the veracity of this method. Neutron-gamma analysis technology can greatly facilitate timely construction of soil carbon maps.

Background: There is limited literature regarding risk factors for development of thrombosis and long-term thrombotic outcomes in Armenian APS patients. The aim of the study is to identify patients with APS with thrombotic complications and to evaluate the epidemiological statistics of thrombosis and thrombophilia and their complications in Armenia. Methods: We analyzed medical records of Patients with APS from January 2018 to December 2021 treated at the Armenian Thrombosis and hemostasis Center was enrolled. Results: Both acquired and hereditary thrombophilia increase the risk of thrombosis. Thrombophilia was present in 61.5% of 123 patients. It was found that 38 pregnant women with thrombosis had a family history of VTE, myocardial infarction or stroke in the next of kin under 50 years of age. The prevalence of this history was 31.4% (11 patients) compared to 68.6% (27 patients), who did not have 41.6% of postpartum thrombotic events up to two months postpartum. Conclusion: Thrombosis in pregnancy is a redoubtable complication requiring an excellent cooperation between the obstetrician and hematologist. Clear detection of thrombosis in APS patients in all types allows to accurately predicting the method and duration of anticoagulant treatment and to prevent thrombotic complications.

The liver, as the central metabolic organ, plays an important role in metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids and proteins. In the environment, there are many hepatotoxic xenobiotics. CCl4 is a free radical toxic for organelles of hepatocytes. The presented work was studying the character of ultrastructural changes in CCl4-intoxicated hepatocytes as well as the tissue after treatment by grape seed extract (gSE), α-tocopherol (α-T). As a result of cell bioremediation effect and reactions against corruptive factors, the liver has a high regeneration ability.
