A cellular automata model for simulating grain structures with straight and hyperbolic interfaces

A description of a mathematical algorithm for simulating grain structures with straight and hyperbolic interfaces is shown. The presence of straight and hyperbolic interfaces in many grain structures of metallic materials is due to different solidification conditions, in- eluding.d.fferent solidification speeds, growth directions, and delaying on the nucleation times of each nucleated node. grain growth is a complex problem to be simulated; therefore, computational methods based on the chaos theory have been developed for this purpose. Straight and hyperbolic interfaces are between columnar and equiaxed grain structures or in transition zones. The algorithm developed in this work involves random distributions of temperature to assign preferential probabilities to each node of the simulated sample for nucleation according to previously defined boundary conditions. Moreover, more than one single nucleation process can be established in order to gen- erate hyperbolic interfaces between the grains. The appearance of new nucleated nodes is declared in sequences with a particular number of nucleated nodes and a number of steps for execution. This input information influences directly on the final grain structure （grain size and dislribution）. Preferential growth directions are also established to obtain equiaxed and columnar grains. The simulation is done using rou- tines for nucleation and growth nested inside the main function. Here, random numbers are generated to place the coordinates of each new nucleated node at each nucleation sequence according to a solidification probability. Nucleation and growth routines are executed as a func- tion of nodal availability in order to know if a node will be part of a grain. Finally, this information is saved in a two-dimensional computa- tional array and displayed on the computer screen placing color pixels on the corresponding position forming an image as is done in cellular automaton.

Background:This study investigates the effects of exercise training on exerkines in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus to determine the optimal exercise ***:A systematic search for relevant studies was performed in 3 *** controlled trials investigating the effects of exercise training on at least one of the following exerkines were included:adiponectin,apelin,brain-derived neurotrophic factor,fetuin-A,fibroblast growth factor-21,follistatin,ghrelin,interleukin(IL)-6,IL-8,IL-10,IL-15,IL-18,leptin,myostatin,omentin,resistin,retinol-binding protein 4,tumor necrosis factor-α,and ***:Forty randomized controlled trials were selected for data extraction(n=2160).Exercise training induces changes in adiponectin,fetuin-A,fibroblast growth factor-21,IL-6,IL-10,leptin,resistin,and tumor necrosis factor-a levels but has no significant effects on apelin,IL-18,and ghrelin compared to *** exercise training favored large and positive changes in pooled exerkines(i.e.,an overall effect size calculated from several exerkine s)(Hedge’s g=1.02,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.76-1.28),which in turn were related to changes in glycated hemoglobin(mean difference(Md)=-0.81%,95%CI:-0.95%to-0.67%),fasting glucose(Md=-23.43 mg.d.,95%CI:-30.07 mg.d. to-16.80 mg.d.),waist circumference(Md=-3.04 cm,95%CI:-4.02 cm to-2.07 cm),and body mass(Md=-1.93 kg,95%CI:-2.00 kg to-1.86 kg).Slightly stronger effects were observed with aerobic,resistance,or high-intensity interval protocols at moderate-to vigorous-intensity and with programs longer than 24 weeks that comprise at least 3 sessions per week and more than 60 min per ***:Exercise training represents an anti-inflammatory therapy and metabolism-improving strategy with minimal side effects for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Widespread catastrophic fog episodes in polluted northern India have been attributed to tropical cyclone activity in the Bay of Bengal&Arabian Sea;however,limited studies have been conducted on the effect of tropical cyclone intensity(’T’Numbers)on different fog characteristics in Indo gangetic Basin,Northern *** this study,different characteristics,including persistence,intensity,and areal extension,were analyzed at the Indira gandhi International Airport,New delhi during 1998-99,2013-14,and 2016-17.A high-intensity tropical cyclone(Severe to Very Severe Cyclonic Storm)has been found to significantly increase the persistence,intensity,and areal extension of fog by inducing strong subsidence over the IgI Airport/Indo-gangetic *** knowledge is vital for improving the short-term forecasting of fog in the Indogangetic Basin of Northern India and will further support the government agencies to take preventive safety measures and planning well in advance time.

In this paper, the variable-coefficient diffusion-advection （dA） equation, which arises in modeling various physical phenomena, is studied by the Lie symmetry approach. The similarity reductions are derived by determining the complete sets of point symmetries of this equation, and then exact and numerical solutions are reported for the reduced second-order nonlinear ordinary differential equations. Further, an extended （gl/g）-expansion method is applied to the dA equation to construct some new non-traveling wave solutions.

The production of biomass pellets and briquettes from agroforestry residues has increased rapidly in recent years. The design of machines, equipment and the infrastructure necessary for the handling, trans port and storage of these products has been an engineering challenge since, when moving, biomass does not usually flow as easily as other granular materials. The discrete element method （dEM） provides a means of studying the handling and silo discharge behaviour of granular solids as well as the distribution of the pressures exerted by such materials in silos. However, the development of such models requires certain properties of the particles in question to be known. The present work experimentally determines the true density, Young＇s modulus of elasticity （axial and radial）, the particleparticle restitution coeffi cient and the particlewall friction coefficientall variables that must be known in the construction of dEM modelsfor briquettes made from maize stalk, maize stalk plus pine wood chips, rice husk, vine shoots, raoe straw, cereal straw and sawdust olus cereal straw.

The purpose of this research was to apply statistical design for the preparation of a gastric floating tablet(gFT)of propranolol HCl and to investigate the effect of formulation variables on drug release and the buoyancy properties of the delivery *** contents of polyethylene oxide(PEO)WSR coagulant and sodium bicarbonate were used as independent variables in central composite design of the best *** effects and interaction terms of the formulation variables were evaluated quantitatively using a mathematical model approach showing that both independent variables have significant effects on floating lag time,%drug release at 1 h(d_(1h))and time required to release 90%of the drug(t_(90)).The desired function was used to optimize the response variables,each with a different target,and the observed responses were in good agreement with the experimental *** and dSC studies of the statistically optimized formulation revealed there was no chemical interaction between drug and *** statistically optimized formulation released drug according to first order kinetics with a non-Fickian diffusion *** of the optimized formulation in vivo in human volunteers showed that the gFT was buoyant in gastric fluid and that its gastric residence time was enhanced in the fed but not the fasted state.

AIM: To evaluate the efficacy and the safety of azathioprine (AZA) and buthionine sulfoximine (BSO) bylocalized application into Hepg2 tumor in ***: different hepatoma and colon carcinoma cell lines (Hepg2, HuH7, Chang liver, LoVo, RKO, SW-48, SW-480) were grown in minimal essencial medium supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum and 1% antibiotic/antimycotic solution and maintained in a humidified 37 ℃ incubator with 5% CO2. These cells were pretreated with BSO for 24 h and then with AZA for different times. We examined the effects of this combination on some proteins and on cellular death. We also studied the eff icacy and the safety of AZA (6 mg/kg per day) and BSO (90 mg/kg per day) in Hepg2 tumor growth in vivo using athymic mice. We measured safety by serological markers such as aminotransferases and creatine ***: The in vitro studies revealed a new mechanism of action for the AZA plus BSO combination in the cancer cells compared with other thiopurines (6-mercaptopurine, 6-methylmercaptopurine, 6-thioguanine and 6-methylthioguanine) in combination with BSO. The cytotoxic effect of AZA plus BSO in Hepg2 cells resulted from necroptosis induction in a mitochondrial-dependent manner. From kinetic studies we suggest that glutathione (gSH) depletion stimulates c-Jun amino-terminal kinase and Bax translocation in Hepg2 cells with subsequent deregulation of mitochondria (cytochrome c release, loss of membrane potential), and proteolysis activation leading to loss of membrane integrity, release of lactate dehydrogenase and dNA degradation. Some of this biochemical and cellular changes could be reversed by N-acetylcysteine (a gSH replenisher). In vivo studies showed that Hepg2 tumor growth was inhibited when AZA was combined with ***: Our studies suggest that a combination of AZA plus BSO could be useful for localizedtreatment of hepatocellular carcinoma as in the currently used transarterial chemoembolization method.

New trends in the area of material improvement are the use of natural nano-charges from renewable biomass,improving the value and sustainability of our country’s natural *** is widely used in many countries of the world,although in Argentina,despite being commercialized and exported for the manufacture of wood floors,it goes unnoticed despite having native ***,researchers identified the native and exotic species present in our country and are working on novel *** this context,it is proposed the Argentine Tacuara Cane(guadua Angustifolia Kunth),endemic plant as a new source of nanocellulosic materials,where stem fibers have been isolated using a green method achieving with yield of 45.9%of *** cellulose nanofibrils(CNF)were obtained using a green homogenization *** CNF exhibited web-like long fibrous structure with the diameter of 10-20 *** crystallinity was 65.5%,as for the onset temperature of thermal decomposition was 212°*** nanocellulose isolated from the Tacuara Cane seed fibers has a high potential to be used as a new source of cellulose-based nanofiller for the reinforcement of bionanocomposite films.
