Joints between two different grades of aluminium alloys are need of the hour in many light weight military *** this investigation,an attempt has been made to join the heat treatable(AA 6061) and non-heat treatable(AA 5086) aluminium alloys by friction stir welding(FSW)process using three different tool pin profiles like straight cylindrical,taper cylindrical and threaded *** microstructures of various regions were observed and analyzed by means of optical and scanning electron *** tensile properties and microhardness were evaluated for the welded *** this investigation it is founded that the use of threaded pin profile of tool contributes to better flow of materials between two alloys and the generation of defect free stir *** also resulted in higher hardness values of 83 HV in the stir zone and higher tensile strength of 169 MPa compared to other two *** increase in hardness is attributed to the formation of fine grains and intermetallics in the stir zone,and in addition,the reduced size of weaker regions,such as TMAZ and HAZ regions,results in higher tensile properties.

The fusion welding of dissimilar heat treatable and non-heat treatable aluminium alloy faced many problems related to solidification. The difficulties can be overcome to achieve the combined beneficial properties of both aluminium alloys using friction stir welding(FSW). The microstructural features and tensile properties of friction stir welded(FSW) similar and dissimilar joints made of AA6061 and AA5086 aluminium alloys were investigated. The microstructures of various regions were observed and analyzed by means of optical and scanning electron microscopy. Microhardness was measured at various zones of the welded joints. The tensile properties of the joints were evaluated and correlated with the microstructural features and microhardness values. The dissimilar joint exhibits a maximum hardness of HV 115 and a joint efficiency of 56%. This was attributed to the defect free stir zone formation and grain size strengthening.

The extruded AZ61A magnesium alloy plates of 6 mm thickness were butt welded using friction stir welding（FSW） *** corrosion behavior of the welds was evaluated by conducting immersion test in NaCl solution at different pH value,immersion time and chloride ion *** empirical relationship was established incorporating pH value,immersion time and chloride ion concentration to predict the corrosion rate of friction stir welds of AZ61A magnesium alloy at 95% confidence ***-factor,five-level central composite rotatable design was used to minimize the number of experimental *** surface method was used to develop the *** results show that the corrosion resistance of AZ61A magnesium alloy welds in the alkaline solution is better than that in the acidic and neutral solutions,moreover,low corrosion rate is found at low concentrated solution and longer exposure time,and the corrosion morphology is predominantly influenced by the distribution of β-phase.

Due to the emerging technology era, today a number of firms share their service/product descriptions. Such a group of information in the textual form has some structured information, which is beneath the unstructured text. A new attainment which facilitates the form of a structured metadata by recognizing documents which are likely to have some type and this information is then used for both segregation and search process. The idea of this advent describes some attributes of a text that will match with the query object which acts as identifier both for segregation as well as for storage and retrieval. An adaptive technique is proposed to deal with relevant attributes to annotate a document by satisfying the users querying needs. The solution for annotation-attribute suggestion problem is not based on the probabilistic model or prediction but it is based on the basic keywords that a user can use to query a database to retrieve a document. Experiment results show that Querying value and Content Value approach is much useful in predicting a tag for a document and thus prediction is also based on Querying value and Content value which greatly improves the utility of shared data which is a drawback in the existing system. This approach is different, as we consider only the basic keywords to be matched with the content of a document. When compared with other approaches in the existing system, Clarity is a primary goal as we expect that the annotator may improve the annotations on process. The discovered tags assist on quest of retrieval as an alternative to bookmarking.

This paper introduces a novel single-phase asymmetrical multilevel inverter suitable for hybrid renewable energy sources. The proposed inverter consists of two isolated DC sources and six power semiconductor controlled switches. The suggested inverter is capable of generating seven-level output when the input DC voltage is taken in the ratio of 1:2. The higher magnitude DC source is fed from Photo Voltaic (PV) panels, whereas the lower magnitude DC source is fed from Wind Turbine (WT) driven Permanent Magnet DC (PMDC) generator. Both the renewable energy sources are connected to the inverter via two DC-DC boost converters connected in cascade (i.e. one for maximum power point tracking and another for DC-link voltage control). The proposed hybrid renewable energy source inverter is connected to single-phase grid via proper control systems. The complete system is simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK and the results are presented in detail.
