The present work deals with the detailed geology,mineralogy,geochemistry,and spectrometric prospection of the felsic volcanic rocks at the Eastern Desert,Egypt of the Arabian-Nubian *** volcanic rocks are an essential source for rare earth elements(REEs)and uranium occurrences in this *** are compositionally uniform with tholeiitic to calc-alkaline affinities,peraluminous and belong to the series of rhyolite with high-K *** exhibit more enrichment in high field strength elements(HFSE,***,Ta,Nd,Th,and U)and large-ion lithophile elements(LILE,*** and Rb)compared to the country rocks of the studied area,with REE ranging from 188.20 to 442.70 ppm and strong depletion in Ti,Sr,P with deep negative Eu *** felsic volcanic rocks were mostly generated from the partial melting of quartz-amphibolite facies accreted during the *** oddities of Zr-U-Th for the felsic volcanic rocks determine the involvement of crustal *** volcanic rocks are found in A-type suites of magma and represent highly fractionated rocks derived from rhyolitic magma,with insignificant interaction with continental crust in the low-pressure environment and during fractional *** volcanic rocks have higher values of radioactivity in which eU range from 0.5 to 121 ppm and eTh from 1.0 to 415.10 *** high values of eU and eTh can be ascribed to the mineralization of uranium and the presence of accessory minerals of radiogenic nature such as uranophane,uranothorite,zircon,and *** is considered as the mineral with most enriched uranium contents in the studied felsic volcanic rocks in which(UO2=87.30 wt%).Also,they are enriched with REE-bearing accessory minerals comprising allanite,titanite,and *** geological investigations of the felsic volcanic rocks in the studied areas are inappropriate to clear the feasible economic potentialities of rare earth elements and U occurrences;itemized and invaluable

Objective: To determine whether resveratrol(Res) can correct osteoporosis induced in a rat model of male hypogonadism. Methods: Thirty-two rats were randomly divided into 4 groups, 8 in each group;1) a control sham group: underwent a similar surgical procedure for induction of orchiectomy(ORCD) without ligation of any arteries or veins or removal of the testis and epididymis;2) a control + Res-treated group(Con+Res):underwent sham surgery similar to the control, but was then treated with Res, as described below;3) an ORCDinduced group: bilateral ORCD surgery as described above, and 4) a ORCD+Res-treated group: bilateral ORCD surgery followed by Res treatment. Res treatment began 4 weeks after ORCD and continued for 12 weeks. After 12 weeks, bone mineral density(bMD) and bone mineral content(bMC) were measured in the tibia and femur of each rat’s right hind leg. blood levels of bone turnover indicators such as deoxypyridinoline(Dpd), N-telopeptide of type Ⅰ collagen(NTXⅠ), alkaline phosphatase(ALP), and osteocalcin(OC), as well as receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa b(RANK) and osteoprotegerin(OPg) were assessed. Results: ORCD significantly decreased bMD(Pgnificantly increased bone resorption, manifested by increased RANK. In addition, it inhibited serum levels of OPg and OC. Res treatment after ORCD effectively increased serum levels of bone formation markers such as OPg and OC, compared with testisectomized rats(Pbone loss induced by male hypogonadism, possible via restoration of the normal balance between RANK and OPg.

Se75Te17ge8 thin film was processed on glass substrates by a pulsed laser deposition technique. The ceramic target used for the deposition was prepared by a solid state sintering method in a vacuum sealed silica tube. The structural characterization was investigated by X-ray diffraction coupled with energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometry. The optical parameters were determined from the transmittance and reflectance spectra of the prepared film. The Wemple and Di Domenico models both were appropriate to describe the experimental results. The optical absorption coefficient was analyzed to identify the type of the optical transition and determine the corresponding energy values.
